The Light of Freedom Fading in America

We are at the final crossroads, my friends, and the decisions we make today will determine whether we tell our children, and those who come after us, what we did to restore the land, or how with our own sloth and greed, we let it slip away.

We’re real close to extinguishing the light of freedom in America. Already we can feel that “boot of government,” as Mr. Obama calls it, on our collective throats. Those who died planting this land will have died in vain. Those who faced down the might of England and gave their lives … it will all have been for naught. Those who have given all on hillsides and valley and forests and deserts around the globe for our freedom, will have died for nothing.

George Bush – Shanksville 9/11 Memorial

President George Bush spoke at the Shanksville Memorial in Pennsylvania on September 11, 2011.

He is correct: 9/11 will never feel like history, evil is real and so is courage.

A Gold Blast from the Past

An ounce of gold closed at $1867.70 on September 9, 2011. While the merits of buying gold and silver are one of the main topics of discussion today, the main argument against purchasing precious metals is that the price has topped out. I heard this point raised consistently since gold crossed the $1000/oz threshold.

History repeats itself and the price of precious metals does follow cycles. Will the price of gold go down? The real question is whether the value of the US dollar will continue its decline causing the value of gold to increase. The current prediction has gold reaching $2000/oz by the end of the year.

The following predictions from late 2009 show us that the prices for gold and silver have exceeded estimates by a large margin. The two reasons are the devaluation of the dollar and a collapsing economy.

This Is What Democracy in Egypt Looks Like

The demonstrations in Egypt where signs stating that the gas chambers are ready were the beginning of Israeli flag burning rallies:

The demonstrations today in Cairo show a stark contrast to the new Egyptian awakening portrayed by our leaders. As the Israeli flag was burned, swastikas were held next to signs stating  “The Gas Chambers Are Ready”. The sides are being drawn across the world and Israel is the focal point. Although the Obama administration has shown disdain toward Israel and our Judeo-Christian foundation, true Americans support Israel and its future.

The rallies have now escalated into violence as “activists” broke into the Israeli embassy as outlined below. Remember our administration’s position on Democracy in Egypt? Continue reading

It’s Over …

Posted today on Market-Ticker by Karl Denninger:

I believe the alarm has now rung.  The market calls all bluffs and that’s exactly what it’s doing right here, right now, today.  The lies have been overwhelmed by the functional facts – that you cannot make payroll or pay the light bill with imaginary money – you need real money, and there isn’t any.  The time has run out on the fraud pulled in 2009 by Kanjorski with his “mark to fantasy” crap game.

We are doing the same thing right here in the United States with Obama’s demands for “more stimulus” with no way to pay for it, games being run by banks suppressing price discovery and hiding losses on mortgages engendered by nine trillion in residential property value loss, the asset-stripping that was performed on the citizens of Jefferson County Alabama and more.  Not one damn thing has been done to fix the underlying problems and nobody has gone to jail for these acts.

You cannot solve a debt crisis with more debt any more than you can fix a drunk with a case of whiskey.  Continue reading

The Consequence of Failure

Before the president’s speech outlining his latest jobs’ creation plan, the media speculated that the cost would be $200, then $300, then $400 billion. The final tag was $447 billion. My thoughts prior to the speech:

  1. The president would present his plan and challenge the Republicans to pass it.
  2. The Republicans would not pass it.
  3. The president would go on the road blaming the Republicans for high unemployment.
  4. The stock market would lose two hundred points.

How did I do? Continue reading

A Nation Without Laws

A government of laws, and not of men

             John Adams

Our republic in on a precipice as the executive branch has taken over the roles of both the judicial and legislative branches. Through the use of executive orders and government regulations, this administration has fundamentally transformed our republic into a government based on men, not laws. The Department of Justice selectively pursues legal issues based on race, immigration status and the expansion of federal power.

The latest example of this administration’s policy toward selective enforcement of the law is the release of illegal aliens who were arrested for blocking traffic at an immigration rally in Charlotte, NC. Continue reading

Wildlife Resources Public Hearings In North Carolina

The North Carolina Wildlife Resources Commission is holding public hearings across the state beginning this week and ending September 28th. They will be considering changes in fishing, hunting, and trapping regulations. Some of the changes are very minor but some are not. The full list of proposed regulation changes can be found here.

For example, under current NCWRC regulations you are virtually prohibited from being on Game Lands with a pistol over .22 LR outside of certain hunting seasons. Given that all National Forests in North Carolina are part of the Game Lands program, this means you could well be in violation of wildlife regulations if you went hiking in Pisgah National Forest and carried concealed. Proposed regulations change H8 would change this.

How Will You Remember 9/12?

The day after 9/11 has come to represent a day of national unity. The following mission statement from the 912 project still represents the fundamental principles of our country:

The 9/12 Project is a volunteer based, non-partisan movement focusing on building and uniting our communities back to the place we were on 9/12/2001. The day after America was attacked we were not obsessed with political parties, the color of your skin, or what religion you practiced. We were united as Americans, standing together to protect the greatest nation ever created. Our goal is to bring us back to that same feeling of togetherness again.

Our Mission is to inspire individuals and groups to connect with their communities through education, service and dedication to the
9 Principles and 12 Values to which we have committed.

How Will You Remember 9/11?

As the 1oth anniversary of 9/11/2001 approaches this Sunday, America needs to step back and reflect on what this means to us on an individual basis. This tragedy united the country overnight with a spirit of patriotism. I remember people becoming civil and respective to one another on both a personal and non-personal level. Do you remember how courteous drivers on the road were to each other?

This spirit was quickly transformed by a message to go out and spend money: life (the economy) must go on as normal. I will not tell anyone how to commemorate this day. I only ask that we commemorate the day in a respectful way and do not allow ourselves to be misdirected. If someone wants to celebrate this day as a national day of service, it is your right. I would suggest to this group that they consider adding December 7th’s Day of Infamy as another day of community service. I will commemorate this day, pray for people who lost their lives and pray that we have the strength to face our future.

The following request for a day of service and remembrance from the president gives us another path to follow:

I Said I Was Looking For William Wallace …

… just wish I could see a few contemporaries on this side of the Atlantic:

httpv://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qvslRpZZKGk#!

The EDL originated from a group known as the “United Peoples of Luton“, which itself was formed in response to a March 2009 protest against Royal Anglian Regiment troops returning from the Afghan War[13] organised by the Islamist group Al-Muhajiroun and including members of the group Ahlus Sunnah wal Jamaah.[14]

American talk radio host Michael Savage became the first popular media figure to publicly announce support for the EDL, stating, “How does England take the Islamofascists spitting on their war dead, without letting the English Defence League wade into them with pipes and beer bottles, I’ll never understand”.[134] Erick Stakelbeck, a terrorism analyst and commentator for Pat Robertson‘s Christian Broadcasting Network, also expressed support for the EDL and compared its members to the members of the American Tea Party movement as being “mostly non-political average guys, many of them working class, who are fed up with their government’s encouragement of destructive policies”.[135]

TEA Party Zombies

I will admit upfront that this article will not be fair and balanced. The release of an online video game where the object is to kill TEA Party zombies shows how important it is to marginalize the successful efforts of patriots. Our crime: fighting for our country’s founding principles, morality and freedom.

The video below shows the cast of zombies that any peace loving liberal must kill:
