IS CIVIL UNREST IN AMERICA INEVITABLE?

Frank Roche has written an article on The Roche Record detailing his thoughts on the possibility of civil unrest in the United States (see excerpt below). Since NCRenegade.com is dedicated to presenting both sides of issues, I felt it would be fair to post since I would include myself as one in the “blogosphere” who is maintaining upcoming civil unrest (see Summer of Fire 2011).

The only question that the readers must ask themselves is whether they would rather be safe than sorry. The headlines today show a bleak future:

Unemployment News – June 9th

Unemployment compensation will be drastically cut back to only 26 weeks for people who lose their jobs starting July 1. The federal unemployment extension runs out at the end of this year and it is unlikely to be renewed. Our federal government has no money and realizes that the $109 billion spent for unemployment benefits from 2008 through 2010 only discouraged people from finding new work.

HB 650 – Omnibus Firearm Legislation

Omnibus Firearm Bill in North Carolina Still a Strong Pro-Gun Bill Despite Amendment Eliminating Parking Lot Language

House Bill 650, the NRA-backed omnibus firearm bill, passed second reading on Tuesday afternoon. Unfortunately, an anti-gun amendment introduced by state Representative Chuck McGrady (R-117) was adopted by a narrow 59 to 57 vote. This amendment eliminated the Parking Lot language that would have barred any business from prohibiting Right-to-Carry permit holders from storing firearms in their vehicles while parked on the property of that business. Several state Representatives who have historically supported gun owners cast surprising votes in favor of this amendment. Those Representatives include:

Crank Up the Printing Presses

President Obama has pledged United States support to save Greece from the same policies that he is implementing in our country (see excerpt below). Well crank up the printing presses and collapse our economy faster. Let me see if I understand this correctly:

  1. Greece implements Socialism and goes on a reckless spending spree
  2. Government workers are increased
  3. Government services are increased
  4. Retirement and social benefits are increased
  5. The country goes bankrupt and will not implement the necessary measures to pay their debts

Voter ID Resurrected?

Yesterday, June 7th HB 351 was displaced in committee as shown in the video below:

The following article from reflector.com is reporting a vote on this legislation today. Not only was this legislation resurrected in the middle of the night, it will have its second and third readings today according to the latest calendar from the House. Although passage is assured, has anyone read the bill? This legislation is not what I consider to be a photo voter ID and Republicans will only admit off the record that this is another compromise. One representative who did not approve of the bill in its current form told me privately that if he did not vote for it, his constitutents would hold him accountable in the next election. I think “the constituents” should read this bill and then ask their legislators what happened before celebrating this “victory”.

Dead-of-night sellout by some members of GOP stands to gut HB 650

Over the strenuous objections of HB 650 sponsor Rep. Mark Hilton (R-Catawba, GRNC ****), part of the Republican caucus is still hammering at HB 650. After first deciding to take up the third and final reading for the bill tomorrow, instead they are taking up the bill again with the intention of stripping language enabling concealed handgun permit-holders to keep firearms in locked compartments on educational property.

Earlier, under the direction of Reps. Paul Stam (R-Wake) and Chuck McGrady (R-Henderson), the following Republicans voted to remove the provision allowing concealed handgun permit-holders to keep guns in locked vehicles at places of employment. The anti-gun votes by Republicans were cast by: Brubaker, Daughtry, Dockham, Dollar, Guice, Howard, McCormick, McGee, McGrady, Rhyne, and Stam. Voter’s Registration Cancelled

Back in June of 2010, I became a state citizen. A while back I learned of some shocking historical facts about our country. These facts tell me the following:

  1. This country is not broken. It has been overthrown.
  2. A U.S. citizen has but one right: the right to reside. A U.S. citizen is NOT a party to the Bill of Rights (whether you think you are or not).
  3. Because of Constitutional violations dating back to the time of the Civil War, a person who participates, votes, or otherwise supports the current de facto government in any way is actively supporting the overthrow of lawful state governments.

A person who votes or participates in more than one body politic is fraudulent and dishonest. So after much delay, today I am sending in an official cancellation letter, requesting that my voter’s registration through the North Carolina State Board of Elections be cancelled, and receipt of this cancellation be mailed to me in return. Even though I have not voted in that government in quite a while, and my loyalty to our Republic has for a long time been steadfast, this long overdue letter will be yet another firm legal indicator of my oath of citizenship. Detroit — General Motors Co. CEO Dan Akerson wants the federal gas tax boosted as much as $1 a gallon to nudge consumers toward more fuel-efficient cars…

And while he is eager to say goodbye to the government as a part owner of GM, Akerson would like to see it step up to the challenge of setting a higher gas tax, as part of a comprehensive energy policy.

A government-imposed tax hike, Akerson believes, will prompt more people to buy small cars and do more good for the environment than forcing automakers to comply with higher gas-mileage standards

Absolute Power Corrupts Absolutely

“When for the hundredth time I asked Chairman Darrell McCormick for a voted hearing on HB 587 NC Job Growth Through Regulatory Reform, now having the support for passage in the committee guaranteed, the man put his hands on me and shoved, called me childish, and then said the bill would not be heard in his committee. I am announcing a discharge petition on the floor tonight.”

The Republican Elite vs. One Constitutionalist

I know this is long, but I hope you have time to read my argument in favor of HB587.

I love all of these jobs bills that have been floating around the House lately. A few energy jobs here, a couple dozen infrastructure jobs there, and maybe even several hundred jobs with some technology bill.

We weren’t elected to come to Raleigh and create 300 jobs, or even 3,000 jobs.

I don’t know about you, but I was elected to find at minimum, a hundred thousand jobs in the state. Anything less would be a failure. Maybe it takes 4 years to make that hundred thousand, but we plan for it and then we make it happen, because that’s what we were sent here to do.

Allow me to put some perspective on the problem.

William Forstchen, author of “One Second After” and Professor of History at Montreat College will be the featured speaker at the Sensible Mountain Preparedness Seminar on June 18th at the Haywood Community College. Professor Forstchen wrote this best selling book that takes place in Black Mountain, about the U.S. being decimated by EMP (electromagnetic pulse) bombs. The shock destroys all electronics and sends the country back to the fifteenth century. It is a fascinating, well-written book that should be on anyone’s list that is at all concerned about being prepared for disaster.
