As reported in an earlier article in March, state and local governments will be making permanent cuts in the public sector. The excerpt following this article from CNN is now reporting the consequences of “a record-breaking layoff binge”.

In the spirit of this sentiment, Sarah Palin made the following statement concerning Paul Revere:
“He who warned the, the British that they weren’t gonna be takin’ away our arms by ringin’ those bells and makin’ sure he’s ridin’ his horse through town to send those warning shots and bells that we were gonna be secure and we were gonna be free.”
Her statement has more to say about America than about her unofficial campaign to run for President. When are we going to demand that our political figures and “Tea Party leaders” are competent? They must be able to address the issues and present action plans to save our future. Until we demand credible and competent leaders, “we were gonna be gone”. For the readers who are questioning our motives, the answer is simple: “we don’t wanna be gone”.

The following video details the House Judiciary Subcommittee A hearing on Friday afternoon, June 3rd. Rep. Deborah Ross is commenting on a portion of HB 36 – E-Verify for state contractors in the opening. The bill’s sponsors reply to her concern but instead of amending the legislation to address her concern, the entire portion is removed from the bill.
For future reference, compromise is an art in which the Republicans have no skill. It is not their fault since they have not been in a position to offer political favors in our state for over 100 years. In this case, Rep. Ross should have been asked if this was the only impediment to releasing this bill for a floor vote. Obviously it was not since she still voted against the legislation and the bill was defeated until 9:30 PM on Friday evening at another meeting.

Yesterday I cobbled together some bits from other blog discussions to try and prompt debate on how to act as a responsible adult in a world full of dependent adult-children.
I postulated we face a decision among three options:
1. continue the seemingly fruitless path of resistance / restoration
2. accelerate the collapse of society with hope of restoration afterward
3. step outside society and live ‘outlaw’ … but LIVE !
In fact we have a fourth option which I’ll call “#0”. Option #0 is do nothing, play ostrich, and pray that nothing really bad happens to as we try to ignore the destruction of our ‘last best hope of earth’.
House Bill 36 was defeated earlier today (June 3rd) in House Judiciary Subcommittee A. This immigration legislation had the audacity to apply the same standards that state employers are required to pass (federal verification of US citizenship through E-verify) to employers who are working on state contracts.
The bill was defeated because the vote was a tie. However, Chairman Blust was able to reconvene the subcommittee tonight and another vote was taken. HB 36 did receive a favorable recommendation and will now go out to the floor for a vote. I want to thank Rep. Blust for his efforts today on this legislation.

For months I’ve suggested to friends that there is no longer any lawful recourse to our plight since the law, or color of law, is used to perpetuate the situation we wish to remedy.
In Atlas Shrugged, Ayn Rand proposed that the only way to defeat the collectivists was to withdraw the sanction of the victims, along with their productive capacity, and allow society to implode.
I and others have persisted in the role of Dagny Taggart, desperately working to prevent the collapse and restore the society of liberty that we desire.

I just returned from the House Judiciary Subcommittee A meeting. As reported previously, the Republican Party lived up to my expectations on meaningful 2nd amendment and immigration reform legislation today.
After a briefing by Glen Bradley concerning H241, a vote was taken on this 2nd amendment legislation but the NAY vote was louder than the AYE vote so Chairman Blust ruled that the legislation failed. No one on the committee would stand up and ask for division so that an individual accounting could be made.

Because of the incompetence of the major parties the border fence is incomplete (NOT COMPARABLE TO THE 2006 Secure Fence Act) and the 1986 Simpson-Mazzoli immigration laws not enforced.
North Carolina: Castle Doctrine Language and Parking Lot Provision in NRA-Backed Omnibus Bill Threatened!As reported by the NRA yesterday, the North Carolina House Judiciary Subcommittee C sent House Bill 650, the NRA–backed omnibus gun bill, to the House floor for a vote. However, there is now a strong effort by the anti-gun lobby to add amendments that would weaken both the current Castle Doctrine language and Parking Lot/Employee Protection provision contained in this bill.
There are multiple pieces of pending legislation concerning immigration in the North Carolina General Assembly. HB36 specifically addresses the use of E-verify for contractors who have state contracts. This bill has been relegated (buried) to committees since February 2nd, 2011. As outlined previously, this legislation has been rendered useless through compromises to allow it to even be discussed in the infamous House Judiciary Subcommittee A. The three prongs used to destroy our society are government, religion and education. I used to say “destroy our country” but this goal has already been accomplished as outlined in my Freedom Reigns article once justice was lost.
The Republican Party effectively co-opted the patriot movement last year to win the US House of Representative and the North Carolina General Assembly. The results are obvious but not acknowledged by the same patriot leaders who rallied around the red flagpole. Whether the GOP leadership has their head in the sand or whether we have replaced one set of masters for another is irrelevant in the final analysis: no political solutions are being offered to restore our nation. So how do we save our society?

Three indicted following meth bust

STATESVILLE — Three men arrested in February following the second-largest methamphetamine bust in Rowan County history were indicted in federal court April 21, according to information released Monday by the Rowan County Sheriff’s Office.
Hildeberto Gonzalez-Chavez, “Beetle,” 30, of 122 Cypress Lane, Edgar Santana, 22, of Duluth, Ga., and Cesar Sierro-Pineda, 33, of Duluth, Ga., were each charged with methamphetamine drug conspiracy. Sierro-Pineda was additionally charged with possession of a firearm in furtherance of a drug trafficking crime.
Gonzalez-Chavez is currently in the Rowan County jail waiting for a transfer to federal custody, Sierro-Pineda is in custody in Gwinnett County, Ga., pending transfer to federal custody, and Santana was arrested in Salisbury April 27, and is in federal custody in Charlotte. Santana also had a bond hearing Monday.
The speculation is rampant over whether the Federal Reserve will authorize quantitative easing 3 (QE3). The following two excerpts outline both sides but one thing is certain: an economic collapse is imminent.
