That’s All Folks

The Federal Reserve Note that represents the United States’ paper currency is collapsing. It is ironic that the Federal Reserve, a private banking corporation, should control the treasury of the United States but most people think that the Fed is a department of the United States government. The greatest theft in history is being perpetuated on the people as they transfer our wealth through redistribution and to banking interests at the expense of our lifes’ savings.

State Retirement Crisis

The article below details the growing disparity between promised state retirement promises and their actual funding. North Carolina shares in this fiscal crisis and there are only three ways to proceed:

  1. Cut benefits and retirement for state workers.
  2. Raise taxes to cover the shortfall.
  3. A combination of both.

All three options will cause problems for legislators in the general assembly in the next election. It is easy to place the blame on politicians but the solutions must be faced by the people. How we deal with the consequences of fiscal irresponsibility and politician empire building will show the measure of the people’s duty to our state and country.

Point of No Return?

My article concerning the end of the Constitution seems to be causing some controversy. Although I have responded to comments, I would like to make a few points:

1. The executive and legislative branches are out of control and the balance of power has now shifted to the executive branch. The judicial branch under Judge Roberts has not issued any decisions that would have stopped this usurpation of power. The decision not to expedite healthcare legislation was a missed opportunity that may be considered a point of no return.

2. The death of the Constitution is definitely a controversial statement. The Constitution is a contract between the people and the government. How many parts of a contract must be violated before the contract becomes void?

3. If a contract is perceived to be broken, our only recourse is to take it to court for a ruling. The process to appear before a Supreme Court is stringent and rightly so. However their lack of action has contributed to our country’s current economic and political situation since power unchecked is now power not to be questioned.  Hiding under a black robe is a poor excuse to not step up and defend the rule of law.

National Suicide ? … or just progressive energy policy ?

And under his policy, energy prices would NECESSARILY skyrocket …

Explained in the excerpt below, air permits for Alaska oil exploration were denied because the estimated effect would bring one small town “close to air quality standards” … not in violation … just close to standards.

“Shell Oil Company has announced it must scrap efforts to drill for oil this summer in the Arctic Ocean off the northern coast of Alaska. The decision comes following a ruling by the EPA’s Environmental Appeals Board to withhold critical air permits.”

…

“What the modeling showed was in communities like Kaktovik, Shell’s drilling would increase air pollution levels close to air quality standards,” said Eric Grafe, Earthjustice’s lead attorney on the case. Earthjustice was joined by Center for Biological Diversity and the Alaska Wilderness League in challenging the air permits.”

…

“Production on the North Slope of Alaska is declining at a rate of about 7 percent a year. If the volume gets much lower, pipeline officials say they will have to shut it down.”

The “IT” that would have to be shut down IS THE ALASKA OIL PIPELINE.

The Constitution Is Dead: Long Live the King

The Supreme Court of the United States has put the final nail in the coffin for the Constitution. The justices declined to rule on whether the president’s health care legislation is legal under the Constitution. This one ruling would have ended the huge costs already burdening corporate America – not counting the hundreds of exceptions granted by the administration as favors. A Constitutional ruling on health care legislation now could have breathed a spark of fire back into the burning embers of our country. Instead, we now only have the ashes of the greatest experiment in history as the “judiciary” goes back into the safety of their sanctuary even though their hall of justice has already been destroyed by Eric Holder.

The Court could have granted an expedited review “upon a showing that the case is of such imperative public importance as to justify deviation from normal appellate practice” but declined. Instead they will burden the public with the additional costs of going through the appellate court system first. A Virginia court has already ruled that part of the legislation is unconstitutional in December 2010.

As we watch our freedom stolen by the executive and legislative branches, any faith is the judicial branch to save the Constitution is now eliminated. There is no constitutional basis for this legislation and they know it. The general welfare clause does not apply to this legislation as outlined by Federalist Paper 41. Interstate Commerce does not apply since we are not allowed to buy health insurance across state lines. Here is David Price’s comments on the issue when I asked him to justify his support for health care legislation:

So now you have to ask yourself: what would free men do?

We The People?

I attended the Raleigh Tea Party on April 15th, 2011 which had Jason Lewis as the headline speaker. Triangle Conservatives Unite did an excellent job sponsoring this event which had perfect weather. By my estimate, there were about 600 people at this Tea Party which would have put North Carolina in the top ten for the entire country.

Two years ago, there were over 2000 people in attendance at the Raleigh Tea Party. No headline speakers and no budget for advertising were responsible for this large turnout, only people who felt something was wrong and were looking for answers. Two years later, the Tea Party still provides no solutions except to vote Republican. We talk (actually whine) about how bad things are but as the country’s economic distress continues to spiral downward, we do nothing proactively to change our government’s attempts to socialize America, redistribute the fruits of our labor and effectively challenge Washington (and Raleigh) to stop spending money.

Want solutions:

Senate Republicans Assist in Destruction of Constitutional Checks and Balances

Friends, we cannot vote our way out of this mess:

On March 30, Senator Chuck Schumer (D-N.Y., picture, left) and 15 co-sponsors (including Republican leaders) introduced S. 679, the “Presidential Appointment Efficiency and Streamlining Act.” The measure would remove the “advice and consent” requirement for many executive branch appointments, giving the President unchecked power to fill key administration positions.

Ostensibly, the bill enjoys bipartisan support because its sole purpose is to relieve the backlog of unconfirmed appointees by eliminating the confirmation requirement for about 200 offices.

The process by which heads of executive branch departments are appointed and confirmed is set forth by Article II, Section 2 of the U.S. Constitution. The “Appointments Clause” provides that the President:

… shall nominate, and by and with the Advice and Consent of the Senate, shall appoint Ambassadors, other public Ministers and Consuls, Judges of the supreme Court, and all other Officers of the United States, whose Appointments are not herein otherwise provided for, and which shall be established by Law: but the Congress may by Law vest the Appointment of such inferior Officers, as they think proper, in the President alone, in the Courts of Law, or in the Heads of Departments.

If this bill passes, the checks and balances established by our Founding Fathers as a protection against tyranny will be eliminated, as well as the concept of enumerated powers.

Eric Holder Has A Dilemma at the Department of Injustice

Eric Holder will not prosecute “his people” under federal law making two classes of citizens in our country . Does this protection include transgendered individuals? Federal Legislation passed under the Obama administration makes the following individuals “protected” under hate crimes:

Bills H.R. 2647 & S. 909 became law

  • Added gender, sexual orientation and disability as protected classes. It would thus protect female, male, intersexual, heterosexual, bisexual, homosexual, transgendered, transsexual, cis-gendered, disabled, and able-bodied persons. That is, it would protect every person in the U.S. in four new ways, in addition to the earlier four, making a total of eight-way protection.

It appears that the woman who was seriously attacked by two black women in a McDonalds’ restaurant is a transgender woman.

America … the next Argentina

What do you get when you de-industrialize a country, eliminate the middle class and plunged the citizens into massive starvation and unspeakable poverty?

Answer:  a third world economy

Some parallels between policies of the Obama government and the destruction of Argentina…

Small businesses in Argentina where choked to death because they were being charged 50% interest on small business loans. Clearly the globalists were ensuring complete de-industrialization of Argentina. How easy is it for small businesses in America to get loans right now?

Argentina’s people never got justice and weren’t able to hold their corrupt politicians accountable because the politicians and courts/judges were all in on it and they had all the power. Sound familiar?

While Argentina’s people cried out for their “rights” and expected govt to give them what they were promised (jobs, food, etc.), the government, unions, globalists and public-private globalist corporations got wealthier and more powerful.

The Greatest Theft in History

I have watched Glenn Beck since he started his show on FoxNews in early 2009. I admire his challenge to us to check his stories and he is one of an elite group of people who actually admit and apologize for his mistakes. Although he reported on issues and individuals who were causing the collapse of our country, he never went after the Federal Reserve. Until now.

It appears that Mr. Beck is going down swinging and exposing the major culprit of our nation’s demise. Ben Bernanke and the Federal Reserve’s role in devaluing our dollar is exactly what Mr. Beck details in the following videos: theft.

Respect Must Be Earned

A partial history of the Resolute desk from ourwhitehouse.org

The Resolute served in the British Royal Navy for twenty-three years until she was decommissioned. No longer in service, she was sent to the breakers dock for salvage.

Queen Victoria ordered that a desk be made from her best timbers. This was the gift that she sent to the White House. The desk, made from the ship that sealed a lasting friendship between Great Britain and the United States, has been in the White House ever since.

It is considered a national treasure and an icon of the presidency. The desk is still in the Oval Office today. When our next president is elected, look to see if the Resolute desk is used. And if so, what special inspirational items are on it?

I do not think obama’s shoes are inspirational items.

The Consequences of Eric Holder

Here is another consequence of an attorney general who maintains two classifications of citizens. Obama has Eric Holder investigating gasoline price gouging instead of prosecuting the New Black Panthers for voter intimidation. Although these two girls will be arrested and brought to trial, I believe that this type of behavior is more prevalent based on the actions of the administration.

Korus – About to Be Sold Out for Foreign Interests Again

The Korea-U.S. Free Trade agreement is being pushed through Congress with little fanfare but huge consequences to our trade and sovereignty. What do Walter Jones (R-NC) and Ron Paul (R-TX) have to say about this agreement:

“This pact is a sneaky form of international preemption, undermining the critical checks and balances and freedoms established by the U.S. Constitution’s reservation of many rights to the people or state or government…[it] sets up foreign tribunals to which the United States must submit for judgment.  We urge you to oppose President Obama’s Korea Agreement.

Raleigh City Council Opposes the 2nd Amendment

The Raleigh City Council unanimously voted to oppose HB 111. Although this legislation has passed the House and is now stalled in committee in the Senate, public officials always seek to extend their power for their own recognition. I would put $100 down that not one of these councilmen would want through a City of Raleigh park after dark.

Hat tip to GRNC.

Here is the statement from the City of Raleigh:

City Council Opposes Concealed Handgun Bill The Raleigh City Council on April 19 voted 7-0 to approve a resolution opposing provisions of a concealed handgun bill before the North Carolina General Assembly. The proposed legislation would allow people with concealed permits to carry their handguns into public parks and restaurants that serve alcohol. The bill has been approved by the House and is now in the Senate. For more information, contact City Attorney Thomas McCormick at 919-831-6560.

Strange Bedfellows on Judicial Elections

httpv://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YlwBQRWxUyo

House Bill 99 will amend our state’s constitution concerning vacancies in the offices of superior court judges and district attorneys. Justice Robert Orr joins with Rep. Deborah Ross to make this change for our judicial elections. As I listened to the committee proceedings at the general assembly, I agree that there is some logic as Justice Orr points out in an article (excerpt below):
