RSC Budget Proposal – BETTER !

Normally I don’t get enthused by another email from AFP, but this one’s different.

I did not know that the Republican Study Committee had prepared a budget proposal more aggressive than the one Paul Ryan announced earlier.

The RSC achieves more aggressive spending cuts in both discretionary and mandatory spending, further reducing the economy-crushing budget deficits proposed by the president, and balancing the budget by the year 2020.

Headline Numbers  – When compared to the chairman’s budget, the RSC budget has an additional $3.3 trillion in spending cuts, including an additional $208 billion in cuts in FY 2012.

Political Pawns in North Carolina

The voters in North Carolina clearly sent a message in the November elections that we expect responsible government. The Republican Party has taken control of the General Assembly for the first time in over 110 years. The first 100 days of this session is fast approaching and their pledge to the people has not been too successful. The new fiscal budget deadline is also approaching and the cuts to state workers and social engineering programs will have an impact on both the state economy and civil unrest. 

Governor Purdue is using partisan politics to enforce the Obama agenda but the truth is that the people of North Carolina will be used as pawns to pay for the failure of our politicians.

They are dismantling our country piece by piece

Once again the government used the weekend to enforce two extremely important events. I doubt the MSM will cover either or if they do, they won’t give much time to them. But both have huge implications toward life in our beloved country.

The first item at first glance will turn people off because so few readers are directly involved. On Saturday the FBI confiscated all the online poker sites. It reminded one of the Soviet Union when a new premier was named during a coup. When one goes to FullTilt Poker or Poker Stars or many of the others, you will now find a note from the DOJ indicating your deposited funds have been confiscated while they search for the CEOs of each site. You are also liable for a $250,000 fine and 5 years imprisonment. What do you think the chances of ever recovering your money are? This is not only a new means of money collection (taxes?) but it also controls the population. If this doesn’t bother you because you do not play poker on line, how about when they shut down the Heritage seed companies, the gold and silver companies or the weapons companies. They are coming folks. Make no mistake. They will do this to every phase of our lives.

Eat the Reich

An interesting weekend concerning respect for the president (lower case intentional) of the United States of America. The debate centers on respect of Obama versus respect for the office of the Presidency.  Pouring water over an Obama mask at the Raleigh Tea Party was considered to be an act of disrespect for the office of the President by some people or an act of disrespect for the man. Arguments could be made for both sides but let’s consider another viewpoint concerning respect.

If the current president shows an overt disrepect for the Constitution, Congress and the American people, does he deserve our respect? And what recourse is available to the people?

Arrogance in Office

In my last post, I suggested we need to attack the structures that enable the Imperial Presidency (History Repeats Itself).

The keyboard was not yet cool from my fingers when our current president made a public declaration of his arrogance:

In a statement issued Friday night, President Obama took issue with some provisions in the budget bill – and in one case simply says he will not abide by it.

Last week the White House and congressional Democrats and Republicans were involved in intense negotiations over not only the size of the budget for the remainder of the FY2011 budget, and spending cuts within that budget, but also several GOP “riders,” or policy provisions attached to the bill.

One rider – Section 2262 — de-funds certain White House adviser positions – or “czars.” The president in his signing statement declares that he will not abide by it.

Dessert of the Desert?

I was dumbstruck when I saw the article “Green Energy on a Gigawatt Scale” by Gene Wolf in the March 2011 issue of “Transmission & Distribution World”.  He references the “DESERTEC Solar Power Project” and includes a map of the project area. To my eyes the map highlights the same area of unrest of the current “Jasmine Revolution”:

It is associated with the Club of Rome and Agenda 21. This article is the first of a series detailing the activities of this organization. Part 1 will outline the “Potentially catastrophic climate impacts on food production over the long-term“. Part 2 will cover energy will show a correlation between the geography of the Jasmine Revolution of North Africa and this group’s plans.

Who’s Got Your Dollar?

The dollar index is a measure of the value of the U.S. dollar relative to majority of its most significant trading partners. This index is similar to other trade-weighted indexes, which also use the exchange rates from the same major currencies.  The 12 month chart below clearly shows the decline of the dollar (orange) as our economy collapses and hyperinflation starts. The correlation between the dollar index vs. gold (gold ETF GLD – green) shows how you can protect your wealth.

History Repeats Itself

Yet we do not notice because we lack knowledge of world history and the history of our country. As a result, we struggle to identify the proper target for our action.

Let us again digress into our history and see if we can glean a bit of insight into how to deal with contemporary issues. For this trip in the “WABAC Machine” I stitch together some snippets from an author who wrote on the subject of Republics at the end of Reconstruction.

About forty years after the federal constitution went into effect, the perverters of the instrument began to teach, as the true meaning of it, the identical assertions made originally by its enemies to prevent its adoption.
