The Road to Serfdom

https://twitter.com/libertycappy/status/1585407360989798400

Imagine IF people were sapient and not apathetic. Elections would be considered a personal duty where individuals would have to make informed decisions on whom they will vote. They would not follow another individual’s or group’s recommendation; they would do research and cast THEIR vote. They would NEVER accept voter fraud at any level. They would NEVER accept a Department of Justice, IRS or any law enforcement agency that would act in an extremist, partisan manner. They would NEVER accept the voter intimidation and voter fraud that resulted in an illegal Presidency.

At this point, it appears that the midterm elections will be a victory for the Republican party in a replay of 1994. This is a shame. A political party taking control of Congress not because they are qualified but because Americans are voting against Democrat tyranny. The Republicans have no “Contract with America”. The Republicans have no agenda other than to attack Democrats and promise some intangible changes that will do nothing to save America. This is the same pathway outlined in the Road to Serfdom.

We will not become united. We will not have a budget (let alone a balanced budget). We will not have a secure border with Mexico (remember Trump had to bypass the Republican and then Democrat Congress to get funding for the wall). We will not have accountability for pharmaceutical company malfaisance and profits. We will not have justice for J6 political prisoners. We will not ….

And the reason the Republicans will do nothing is simple: they do not have to do anything. They will be given power by default, not by merit or a plan to fix America. They will do the same thing that any Socialist Strong Man has done to get elected: they will promise to fix everything without any details. Any that is how collapsing empires become tyrannical dictatorships.

Strange that the same government who wants us dead, attacks our children, funded a worldwide pandemic, ruined our military and national security, usurped the Republic in a coup, initiated WWIII and has labelled regular working folk as extremists is being “given” to another political party that will continue to do more of the same. Why?

The answer is simple: it is easier to keep voting for alternating political parties every 2 years than to stand up to build a better country and future for our children.

United Against Existence, by Robert Gore

One Ring to rule them all, One Ring to find them,
One Ring to bring them all and in the darkness bind them.

J.R.R. Tolkien, Lord of the Rings

Middle Earth had its Mount Doom, into which the One Ring of Power could be tossed, ridding that evil from J.R.R. Tolkien’s fictional setting. Real Earth is not so fortunate, but in all other aspects the lessons drawn from his classic apply. It only comes up short in one respect. Tolkien never delved into the psychology of Sauron, Saruman, and the lessor denizens of Middle Earth who lusted after the One Ring’s power, other than to depict the inevitable corruption of the soul their lust produced.

There are two conclusions uncorrupted souls have difficulty accepting, although both experience and logic point uncompromisingly towards them. The first is that those in power and those who lust for it want power for power’s sake, ultimately to destroy and kill. The second is that they want to destroy and kill because they want to destroy existence and kill themselves. We owe the first conclusion to Orwell, the second to Rand. (For a fuller explanation see “The Last Gasp,” Robert Gore, SLL, March 24, 2020.)

This article assumes both conclusions are well-founded and that the second in particular is the key to understanding where the world is now and where it’s going. They offer a realistic assessment of the chances for nuclear Armageddon.

It is no coincidence that the twentieth century witnessed history’s most totalitarian regimes and its bloodiest wars and genocides. By all indications the twenty-first century will extend the connected trends. Power goes hand-in-hand with destruction and death. Governments are based on their capacity to inflict violence; what else can they produce? Rejecting lofty rhetoric and revolutionary rationales, Orwell wrote that: Power is not a means; it is an end. The twentieth century demonstrated that power is a means to inflict incalculable destruction and death. Know them by their fruits—those are the true ends of those who seek and hold power.

‘I felt like I had been used’: Fiancé of Raleigh shooting victim walks out of city-sponsored vigil after he says local leaders turned grieving loved ones into political ‘pawns’ to promote stricter gun laws

The fiancé (Rob Steele) of a woman killed during a shooting in Raleigh, North Carolina, said he felt the city-sponsored vigil held over the weekend was too politically charged. He accused local officials of exploiting the grieving loved ones attending the event in a political stunt to push for restrictive gun laws, reported WRAL.

On Sunday, the city hosted an event to honor the memories of those lost in a recent shooting that killed five people and injured two. State leaders, local leaders, and community members attended the vigil sponsored by the city, the NAACP, and Moms Demand Action, an advocacy group fighting for stricter gun laws.

Steele called Baldwin’s speech “good” and “appropriate for the event.” However, he stated that the other speakers talked at length about gun control.

Governor Roy Cooper said during his speech that the grieving loved ones and community members should be “shocked into action.” He said, “We need wisdom to find solutions.”

Steele also expressed disappointment over the speech given by Gerald Givens, the president of the Raleigh-Apex NAACP. He stated that he was so upset by Givens’ comments that he left the memorial early.

“You can join the Raleigh-Apex NAACP,” Givens said on Sunday. “If just 100 of you join our branch today, we will become the largest in the state.”

Steele stated, “I got sick to my stomach. I felt like I had been used.”

US Citizens Were Tracked Via Secret ‘Covid Decree Violation’ Scores

“Tens of millions of US citizens were given a “COVID-19 decree violation”

Dirty Political campaign tricks were used by a well-connected private group to label American citizens for their level of compliance with COVID-19 regulations using mass surveillance of free people in the early days of the COVID lockdowns.

These actions should be especially concerning considering the federal government’s application of ‘COVID-19 decrees’, which were implemented without the consent of the people, and now knowing Americans were being spied upon at the time.

“These Covid-19 decree violation scores were calculated by analyzing nearly two billion global positioning system (GPS) pings to get “real-time, ultra-granular locations patterns.” People who were “on the go more often than their neighbors” were given a high Covid-19 decree violation score while those who mostly or always stayed at home were given a low Covid-19 decree violation score.

And where did the COVID decrees come from in the first place? Here is one place, check out the Environmental Protection Agency’s memo on decrees and enforcement:

This temporary policy makes EPA offices and the EPA’s governmental and private sector partners, as well as the general public, aware of how the EPA intends to exercise its enforcement discretion with respect to certain compliance situations during the exigencies of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Fetterman raises $1M+ in hours after debate

Democratic Pennsylvania Senate nominee John Fetterman raised more than $1 million following Tuesday night’s debate with Republican Mehmet Oz, according to Fetterman’s campaign.

The campaign said it raised the amount during the three hours between the debate’s conclusion at 9 p.m. and midnight.

The two candidates sparred over a number of top issues, like the economy and abortion, in the state’s first and only Senate debate.

The closely watched event, which was held two weeks before the election, also drew attention to Fetterman’s ongoing recovery from a stroke earlier this year, a matter that the Oz campaign has mocked at times. Fetterman’s challenges communicating were on full display during the debate, with the Democrat calling it the “elephant in the room.”

I have rarely seen such a propaganda piece as the above article from the Hill including the following line:

Recent polling has given Fetterman a slight lead over Oz in the Pennsylvania Senate race.

Polling after the “debate” showed a collapse in Fetterman’s support and a huge surge for Dr. Oz:

I wonder who would contribute money to the Fetterman campaign after what will be known as the worst debate in our nation’s history.

A Message from John Fetterman

John Fetterman <info@dscc.org>

Tue, Oct 25 at 9:43 PM

Hi David, it’s John.

I *just* got off the debate stage in Harrisburg and I wanted to reach out.

My stroke knocked me down, but I got back up. And now, I’m fighting for everyone in PA who’s gotten knocked down and had to get back up.

If you have my back, can you split a donation of any amount between my campaign + the DSCC right now? Your support will carry me from Debate Night to Election Day + help us hold the Senate, and I’m just so deeply grateful.

Like I said tonight, I’m fighting for real people all across PA + all across the country — from protecting women’s reproductive freedom, to raising the minimum wage, to protecting Social Security.

Meanwhile, Dr. Oz continued his old trend: Lying on TV + taking advantage of everyday people for his own personal profit.

If we’re going to defeat Dr. Oz, defend the Senate + flip PA blue on November 8, I need you in my corner over these next 14 days. Will you split a donation of any amount between my campaign + the DSCC right now?

If you’ve saved payment info with ActBlue Express, your donation will be processed immediately and split between John Fetterman and the DSCC.

Thank you so much for all your support.

I couldn’t do this without you.

❤️ John

John Fetterman
Lieutenant Governor of Pennsylvania
Democratic Nominee for U.S. Senate

John Fetterman served as Mayor of Braddock for 13 years before running statewide to become Lt. Governor. Now, he’s running for Senate in the #1 Most Likely to Flip race, so he can fight for every community like it were [should be “was”] his very own. But he needs grassroots supporters like you to join this movement.
