I have seen the same price increase for gravel in North Carolina. I have a good base down but I use crush and run for maintenance because of the cost for about 75% of my gravel. I use washed 57 for water filtration and in some places for aesthetics. I use unwashed pea gravel for paths because of the cost. SP1 is correct: if you live in the country, you will need a tractor. I recommend a minimum of 35 HP if you are going to use a PTO generator.

I have seen the destruction and overthrow of the Republic by political elitists and “intelligence” agencies. The “victors” are now openly attacking anyone or anything MAGA. Think about that for a minute. If you believe in making your country great again, you are an enemy of the government.
I do not want to vote for the lesser of two evils. I am equally disgusted by both political parties and their treason. I want our children to have Liberty. I want to be a righteous man under God. I do not want to be affiliated with or defined by any political party. I do not want to have to go to bed at night and wonder if the FBI will be knocking down my door at 3:00 AM.
Strike all of the above and replace “want” with “need”. I need to enjoy the fruits of my labor, have fair laws that are enforced fairly and I need to have an educational system that teaches our children instead of indoctrinating them away from God.
We have come to that time where we have to decide how we will submit to tyranny. This is NOT an idle question. I know that I have done nothing illegal under God. I know that when evil comes to my door, it will not negotiate and I will have no rights.
Will we submit to tyranny in any form? Whether it is surrendering a cell phone or submitting to an illegal warrant, once we are on their “list”, we only have two options. I choose the same option that our founding fathers chose.

Many of you reading this are ready for winter, both literally and figuratively. Your firewood is stacked and your kindling is split. Your barn is stacked full of hay. Your larder is crammed full of food. Your fuel tanks are topped off. And your home armory is “dialed-in”, with its walls comfortably stacked with ammo cans. But some of you reading this are not nearly so well prepared. Whether by lack of resolve or lack of resources, you aren’t ready for the manifold challenges of the 21st Century.
Winter is coming. The Old Farmer’s Almanac predicts that the winter of 2022-2023 will be harsh, for most of the country. And in Western Europe, the winter will surely be an uncomfortable one, since the Russians have embargoed natural gas.
Far worse than the predicted La Niña winter in North America, we are also entering what I term a Societal Winter: An era of rancorous discontent between political factions here in the United States that is replete with iciness, and dismissiveness, by The Powers That Be. With divisive “Woke” rhetoric and plenty of finger-pointing, people are feeling a lot less “United” these days. From my vantage point here in the rural Northern Rockies, it appeared that immediately after Joe Biden and his activist cabinet took office in D.C., the Mainstream Media (MSM) cranked the Acrimony knob all the way up to “11.” (For those not familiar, the 11 is a reference to the mockumentary This Is Spinal Tap.)
All signs now point to the advent of a deep and long Societal Winter.
Here are some key indicators of an incipient Societal Winter:
So, where does all of this lead us? I believe that it will lead to a winter of discontent, possibly lasting for many years, and perhaps with polarization worsening to the point of Balkanization of the 50 States and even civil war.
I was wrong 12 years ago. If I gave this speech today, I would replace freedom with Liberty. I cannot believe we have not stood up to fight the tyranny that usurped our Constitution. Renee Ellmers was the unnamed politician who is now relegated to history’s trash pile of failed politicians.

DH: How soon do you see things taking place?
RB: They already are in motion. If you’re looking for a date I can’t tell you. Remember, the objectives are the same, but plans, well, they adapt. They exploit. Watch how this fiscal cliff thing plays out. This is the run-up to the next big economic event.
I can’t give you a date. I can tell you to watch things this spring. Start with the inauguration and go from there. Watch the metals, when they dip. It will be a good indication that things are about to happen. I got that little tidbit from my friend at [REDACTED].
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Does it really matter after 10 years if a dip in metals will be the indication that “things” are about to happen? Probably not. Our economy is in shambles. The fall of every empire has a population that gives up on their work ethic. In our case, people are draining the economy by not working and receiving government welfare handouts, quiet quitting and outright sabotage.
The first freight railroad strike in three decades has been averted under a tentative deal reached overnight between Class I railroads and three labor unions, the White House announced early Thursday morning.
The Class I railroads reached tentative agreements with unions representing engineers, conductors, and signalmen after 20 hours of negotiations at the Department of Labor. The nine other unions involved in negotiations had previously reached tentative agreements with the railroads; one, the The International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers (IAM) District 19, had voted down its tentative deal, but said it would hold off on a strike until other unions had a chance to reach agreements [see “Machinists reject tentative contract …,” Trains News Wire, Sept. 14].
The deal includes an extended cooling-off period that puts off the prospect of a strike that could have begun as early as 12:01 a.m. on Friday. A strike would have crippled the U.S. freight railroad network and shut down Amtrak operations outside of the Northeast Corridor, as well as suspended commuter operations in several cities.
The Association of American Railroads says the contract will provide engineers, conductors, and signal workers with a 24% wage increase during the five-year period from 2020 through 2024, including an immediate payout on average of $11,000 upon ratification. The contract follows the recommendations of the Presidential Emergency Board that was convened after railroads and labor were unable to reach a negotiated settlement.
Facebook joined with Democrats to swing the 2020 election away from President Donald Trump.
Mark Zuckerberg donate nearly half a billion dollars to help Democrats in battleground states and their braindead candidate Joe Biden.
In June 2021 The Gateway Pundit reported on Facebook’s collusion with Democrat politicians to censor and silence President Trump’s Facebook account prior to the 2020 election.
Leaked emails revealed that, during the lead-up to the November election, Biden campaign hacks pressured Facebook to silence his political opponent, the sitting president of the United States.
The radical Democrats had become concerned with so-called “violent rhetoric” and “misinformation” coming from the Trump campaign’s Facebook accounts. This resulted in a years-long barrage of complaints from the party in an attempt to exert political influence over the world’s largest social media giant.
