Selco: The “Camping Trip” Is Ending and the REAL SHTF Is About to Start

Lately, I found myself less and less on social networks, forums…places where people sharing their thoughts and ideas about survival and the situation where we are now.
There are few reasons for that but the two main reasons are:
- I have a real life, and it is basically pretty rough because I already lived in a non-functional society before this Corona mayhem. When pandemic started it simply finished and functionality in it. So it is an everyday struggle with real life. Not too much time to sit and write something – sorry.
- It is frustrating, very frustrating, to see that most of the things are going in the direction that I’ve described, written, explained years ago, and for years, and I can not do anything other than to write an article here and there.
……
The “camping trip” stage ends there, and the new stage of SHTF starts.
In that new stage of SHTF, the rules are different, because “Jim the neighbor” will conclude too that he probably has only a few days left of food for his kids, so he need to look for other solution of acquiring goods.
The camping trip stage ends when your neighborhood finally understands that this is not a temporary event. It is not ending in a week or two. Nobody is coming to help. They are on their own to look for resources. And in that game of “looking for resources” new rules usually apply, or more precisely – no rules.
Now, as I said every SHTF has a camping trip stage. Sometimes it is so short that you are not noticing it, and sometimes it can last for months. I think we in many regions in the world, or perhaps worldwide, are very close to the end of the “camping trip” stage. Since it is a worldwide event, and it has been and is increasingly complicated and influenced with many many other factors like political or racial tensions, or very hard immigrant issues, we cannot really predict how far will go that “I’ll look only out for myself” both on a national level and on your local community level. We don’t know how interaction between those two levels will work and what exactly will come from all of that, but we can clearly establish that we are moving to a new phase, beyond the ‘we’ll get through this together‘ stage.
Think he’s probably right. And be careful, VERY CAREFUL, of who you trust. Think you can trust your half-back neighbors? How about those “guys” you trained with, but didn’t really know? How about your liberal brother-in-law?
My advice, and it’s worth exactly what you paid for it, is to trust no one. It’s simply my own philosophy. I wrote previously that eventually you’ll have to trust someone. You might. But not right now. When TSHTF, the only ones you MIGHT be able to trust are those that don’t need anything from you. And STFU about your guns, your preps, your bug-out location. As contrary as it seems, and as difficult as it may be, it probably is time to start becoming just a bit grey.

Urgent Blast Alert Against North Carolina H172 (Term Limits), S414 (CFA) [Senate]
From Publius Huldah:
We last blasted the North Carolina Senate against the US Term Limits (USTL) application for an Article V convention (A5C) on March 24, after it had passed the House.
Now another nefarious group, “Compact for America” (CFA), has introduced S414 into the North Carolina Senate. S414 is not an application for an Article V convention. It is a “compact” between States within the meaning of Art. I, Section 10, last clause, US Constitution. CFA presents it as a “balanced budget” amendment; but it is actually a perverse and tricky scheme for getting pre-ratifications by State Legislatures of an amendment to the US Constitution which grants massive new taxing powers to Congress.
If you have time, you might be interested to see who is on their Advisory Council.
Here is the A5C application and the Compact which are pending in the NC Committee on Rules and Operations of the Senate . They can be heard at any time with little notice:
H172 (Term Limits) – Passed the House on March 17, and has just the Senate to go.
S414 (Compact for a Balanced Budget – BBA), Introduced March 30. “
US Term Limits and the A5C Lobby Show Their True Colors” reveals that the proponents of an A5C don’t believe their own narrative—that 34 states must pass applications with the same or similar language to trigger a convention; and that the convention can’t veer from the subject of the applications. Their strategists are well aware that there is no such thing as a “limited convention”; and they are expecting Congress to aggregate various applications in order to come up with the 34 States needed to call a convention.
If you have time, you can write a separate letter for each bill (it could be less confusing), or write one letter for both. We suggest you make your letters short with an attachment or link to the new flyers. Senators may be more apt to read them.
Let North Carolina Senators know, in your own words, that we’re likely to lose our Constitution should Congress call an Article V convention.
If legislators don’t hear from us on these issues, they remain uneducated and go along with the special interests. Let’s go get ’em! First, please leave a short phone message for these 3 Senate Leaders, and ask them NOT to bring up H172 (A5C/Term Limits) or S414 (Compact for new taxes/BBA) in committee or on the floor (see below):
| Senator | Title | Phone | Don’t bring H172 in Committee (or on the Floor) |
| Sen. Bill Rabon | Rules Comm. Chair | (919) 733-5963 | in Committee |
| Sen. Kathy Harrington | Majority Leader | (919) 733-5734 | on the Floor |
| Sen. Phil Berger | President Pro Tem | (919) 733-5708 | on the Floor |
Now please write all 50 North Carolina Senators, and ask them to VOTE “No” onS414 (Compact) andH172 (Art. V convention)
Copy the addresses below as a block into “BCC,”and copy your own address into the “To” box; and place thebill #s and description (i.e. Art. V convention or Compact for new taxes) on the subject line.Senate Republicans (28) –

And Nothing Will Be Done
More confirmation of a stolen election that had the support of every branch of government. The coup was successful only because the people placed their faith in a failed Republic without any rule of law.
The military is legally obligated to restore the rightful government. I say rightful government because President Trump’s election was not the only election that was manipulated. If you think that voting in any future election is a viable option, consider the two Senate seats that were stolen in Georgia to secure the Senate.
No one is coming to save us. Not the federal government. Not any state governor. Not the military. Not the Congress, Supreme Court, Department of Justice, FBI or any other agency in which people have placed false hope. We can watch the Republic decay like Venezuela or we can save ourselves. I think that the path would be clear if we cared about our children’s freedom.

Chick Experiment
I will be posting information on our efforts at the community center to transition to a barter and self-sustainable economy over the next few months. This post will center on our first effort to hatch chicks from our flock of seven Buff Orpington hens and one rooster (Sarge). We do not name the hens but my someone who will remain unnamed, calls them Nugget1 through Nugget7.
We are happy with this breed for their prolific egg laying, large size for meat, ability to withstand cold and good temperament. If you are considering raising chickens in the future, make a list of your expectations/requirements before selecting a breed including brooding.
Incubator
The Harris Farms 1030121 Nurture Right 360 Incubator is the perfect, easy-to-use incubator whether it is your first incubation or your hundredth incubation. The first-in-class features of this Nurture Right incubator make your at-home hatching a pleasant experience and supports high hatch rates. At Manna Pro, we believe in nurturing life and this incubator will help you do just that.
- Auto-stop: Nurture Right 360 incubator will stop turning eggs 3 days before hatch day
- Automatic egg turner: Eases the incubation process and helps stimulate hen hatch for higher hatch rate
- 360 visibility: Clear top on incubator makes it great for educational observation
- 360 induced airflow: Nurture Right 360 incubator provides optimal air circulation & temperature stability
- 22 egg capacity: Easy-to-use incubator can hold up to 22 chicken eggs, 12-18 duck eggs and 22-24 pheasant eggs
We collected 21 eggs over a three day period and kept them in a bowl at room temperature. The eggs were rotated periodically but no additional measures were taken.
On day 13 in the incubator, we candled the eggs and all but one had an air sac. We were able to see some movement and veins. The non-viable egg was discarded. On day 18 in the incubator, we checked to ensure that the automatic egg turner was off and removed the egg turning tray from the incubator. We also increased the humidity as outlined to 70%. We did monitor the humidity fairly closely throughout this process but it did drop overnight in some cases without any negative end results.
On day 20 (not 21) the chicks hatched. The above picture of 16 chicks was at the end of the day. The following morning, the remaining 3 chickens were transferred to a holding bin. The remaining egg had been viable and the chicken had almost broken out of the shell. I carefully removed the shell and the chick had died trying to hatch.
I will not address the difference of opinion concerning whether or not to help a chick hatch. In this case, the chick died in the night so the decision was not mine to make. For a first attempt, 19 chicks out of 21 eggs was a success in our minds.
Obviously the bin, pine shavings, chick feed, water dispenser and heat lamp were already in place from our previously store bought chicks last year. Our grandsons were able to see the chicks being born and they will never forget the memory.
So what to do with 19 chicks? The experience and knowledge gained was the primary goal. The secondary goals were to foster good will and find them good homes. The next afternoon, six were given to good friends down the road and five went to another friend. All have previous experience with chickens. We kept eight and are hoping for at least four hens.
In the future, I would like to learn how to sex the chickens. Feeding chicks for a few weeks and then having to cull roosters may not be practical if supplies are tight and/or feed is not available.

Before the Declaration of Independence
Declaration of the Causes and Necessity of Taking up Arms
July 6, 1775
Our cause is just. Our union is perfect. Our internal resources are great, and, if necessary, foreign assistance is undoubtedly attainable. — We gratefully acknowledge, as signal instances of the Divine favour towards us, that his Providence would not permit us to be called into this severe controversy, until we were grown up to our present strength, had been previously exercised in warlike operation, and possessed of the means of defending ourselves. With hearts fortified with these animating reflections, we most solemnly, before God and the world, declare, that, exerting the utmost energy of those powers, which our beneficent Creator hath graciously bestowed upon us, the arms we have been compelled by our enemies to assume, we will, in defiance of every hazard, with unabating firmness and perseverance, employ for the preservation of our liberties; being with one mind resolved to die freemen rather than to live slaves.
…
In our own native land, in defence of the freedom that is our birthright, and which we ever enjoyed till the late violation of it — for the protection of our property, acquired solely by the honest industry of our fore-fathers and ourselves, against violence actually offered, we have taken up arms. We shall lay them down when hostilities shall cease on the part of the aggressors, and all danger of their being renewed shall be removed, and not before.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Most people have never heard of the above treatise written by Thomas Jefferson and revised by John Dickinson. The main difference between then and now is that our government has been usurped by traitors who have assumed the divine right of kings and queens. The tyranny is still the same.
How North Carolina Legislators Maneuver and Manipulate Our Future
From Publius Huldah:
On Wednesday March 31, in a highly unusual move and with barely any public notice, the Convention of States (COS) application was moved to a different committee and scheduled for a sudden hearing.
The North Carolina House leadership continues to use surprise as a tactic to push through controversial legislation before the opposition can get to the hearing to protest. And if our side manages to show up, we’re allotted one or two minutes at best. This time, 45 seconds up to one minute was allowed! Unsurprisingly, COS passed committee.
Here is the Article V convention application (A5C) in the North Carolina House:
H233 (COS) – pending in the House Rules, Calendar, and Operations Committee. It can be scheduled and rushed to the House floor for debate and vote at any time beginning Monday April 5 @ 10:00 am (EDT). We suggest you make your letters short. If House members are interested in researching further, refer them to an attachment or link for an article, flyer, video, etc. They may be more apt to read them.
Lately, Mark Meckler, COS President, Chief Salesman, and Lobbyist, has repeated his go-to war on semantics using NEWSPEAK to redefine words. Ignoring facts to the contrary, Meckler insists that a convention called under Article V is a “convention of states,” not a “constitutional convention.” And he defines the former as a convention controlled from start to finish by State Legislatures. In addition, COS insists they’re asking for a “limited” convention, when just one of their subjects, “limiting the power and jurisdiction of the federal government” is what our Constitution is all about.
In this VIDEO ,
COS Staff Counsel (and now General Counsel) Robert Kelly admits in a debate that the COS application covers “amending” the bulk of the Constitution! COS continually showcases unreliable and misleading statistics to convince legislators that their constituents are demanding a “convention of states.”
Democrats might be interested in this Information from Common Cause showing the dangers of an Article V convention: If legislators don’t hear from us on the A5C issue, they remain uneducated and go along with the special interests.Let’s go get ’em! | Speaker Pro Tempore Sarah Stevens | 919-715-1883 |
| Majority Leader John Bell | 919-715-3017 |
Now please write these 120 members of the North Carolina House, and ask them to VOTE “No” onH233 and any other applications asking Congress to call an Article V convention:
Copy the addresses below as a blockinto “BCC,”& copy your own address into the “To” box; and place thebill # and description(i.e. H233 – Art. V convention) on the subject line.House Republicans (69) – Dear Representative: (If you’re a Republican or conservative, tell the Republicans so!)
