We wanted to know: What’s the worst thing that could happen to our country during the presidential election? President Trump has broken countless norms and ignored countless laws during his time in office, and while my colleagues and I at the Transition Integrity Project didn’t want to lie awake at night contemplating the ways the American experiment could fail, we realized that identifying the most serious risks to our democracy might be the best way to avert a November disaster. So we built a series of war games, sought out some of the most accomplished Republicans, Democrats, civil servants, media experts, pollsters and strategists around, and asked them to imagine what they’d do in a range of election and transition scenarios.
A landslide for Joe Biden resulted in a relatively orderly transfer of power. Every other scenario we looked at involved street-level violence and political crisis.
Picture this:
On the morning of Election Day, false stories appear online claiming that Biden has been hospitalized with a life-threatening heart attack and the election has been delayed. Every mainstream news organization reports that the rumors are unfounded, but many Biden supporters, confused by the bogus claims, stay home.
Still, by late that night, most major networks have called the election for Biden: The former vice president has won key states and has a slender lead in the national popular vote, and polling experts predict that his lead will grow substantially as Western states count an unusually high number of mail-in ballots. The electoral college looks secure for Biden, too.
But Trump refuses to concede, alleging on Twitter that “MILLIONS of illegal ALIENS and DEAD PEOPLE” have voted in large numbers and that the uncounted ballots are all “FAKE VOTES!!!” Social media fills with posts from Trump supporters alleging that the election has been “stolen” in a “Deep State coup,” and Trump-friendly pundits on Fox News and OAN echo the message.
Soon, Attorney General William P. Barr opens an investigation into unsubstantiated allegations of massive vote-by-mail fraud and ties between Democratic officials and antifa. In Michigan and Wisconsin, where Biden has won the official vote and Democratic governors have certified slates of pro-Biden electors, the Trump campaign persuades Republican-controlled legislatures to send rival pro-Trump slates to Congress for the electoral college vote.
The next week is chaotic: A list of Michigan and Wisconsin electors for Biden circulates on right-wing social media, including photos, home addresses and false claims that scores of them are in the pay of billionaire George Soros or have been linked to child sex-trafficking rings.
Massive pro-Biden street protests begin, demanding that Trump concede. The president tweets that “REAL PATRIOTS MUST SHOW THESE ANTIFA TERRORISTS THAT CITIZENS WHO LOVE THE 2ND AMENDMENT WILL NEVER LET THEM STEAL THIS ELECTION!!!” Around the nation, violent clashes erupt. Several people are injured and killed in multiple incidents, though reports conflict about their identities and who started the violence.
Meanwhile, Trump declares that “UNLESS THIS CARNAGE ENDS NOW,” he will invoke the Insurrection Act and send “Our INCREDIBLY POWERFUL MILITARY and their OMINOUS WEAPONS” into the streets to “Teach these ANTI-AMERICAN TERRORISTS A LESSON.” At the Pentagon, the Joint Chiefs of Staff convene a hurried meeting to discuss the crisis.
California was considered a bellwether state. The shift to evil since the Reagan years has spread across the country. Our “leaders” are more concerned with power and polls than doing their civic duty. And we are paying the price for their descent and submission to this evil.
Consider the platform that won Donald Trump the Presidency. Securing the border and draining the swamp were two of the main highlights. The swamp was not drained and the Deep State has a death grip on the throat of the nation with pandemic overreach, antifa riots and our children’s indoctrination. The Biden platform is one world order, mandatory masks and a tax policy that would kill what is left of the economy. It appears that our choices are limited to the lesser of two evils.
While riots are openly encouraged by the Democrat Party for their insurgency, good people sit at home and trust in the government to save them. Let me remind you of another speech:
You can buy popcorn and watch the country collapse or you can dedicate your life to a higher purpose. Salvation is a gift from God; saving the country is a duty to God and our children.
Michael Forest Reinoehl, who killed Portland Trump supporter Aaron Danielson, died in Lacey, Wash. My sources are telling me U.S. Marshalls went to arrest him.
I understand many people in this country know something is wrong but they feel no duty or responsibility to fight the evil which has seized control of the country. At this point in the war, the enemy has control of our tribute (taxation without representation), the judiciary, the congress, the media and their army of antifa masquerading as supporters of the Black Lives Matter corporation.
If someone became sapient today and wanted to fight for God and country, what can he or she do? Democrat state governments are impeding the distribution of firearms through licensing. There is no ammunition to be procured for protection or training. The “pandemic” allows the government to regulation business, church, public gatherings and education. These restrictions do not apply to the other side who promote “peaceful protests” without charging people for arson, assault and theft. It appears that any “newbie” would be overwhelmed by the necessary changes and costs associated with the new paradigm for security and feeding the family.
What I do not understand is how much longer good people will stand down. Kyle Rittenhouse is under arrest for murder. The videos show that he was under attack but he must face a jury of his peers as of now. Michael Reinoehl has confessed to the execution of Aaron “Jay” Danielson but has not been arrested or charged with a crime. Mr. Danielson’s execution was due to being “one of them”. Wearing a Patriot Prayer hat, being white and having a blue line flag patch showing support for the police is now a sanctioned reason for murder.
We all want peace. We all know that the time for peace is over. The civil war that was predicted is upon us and as of today, it appears that the likelihood for a French Revolution repeat is increasing. God help the people in the Democrat controlled cities and states who have been sold out for thirty pieces of silver to usher in a New World Order. God help the rest of the people to have time to prepare and fight this war that we did not want.
Once in a while, someone says something that perfectly captures the moment that we are currently facing. Earlier today, I believe that I stumbled upon an example of this, and I will be sharing what I found in this article. So far this year, our nation has faced one crisis after another, but even after what we have already been though a lot of people out there are absolutely convinced that much worse is coming. In fact, in all of my years of writing I have never had as many people reach out to me personally with their concerns about our immediate future as I have here in 2020. There seems to be an overwhelming consensus that great trouble is rapidly approaching, and there are so many people that are making major life changes based on what they believe is coming.
With that in mind, I would like to share three recent quotes from Glenn Beck…
#1 “What I’m here to do is to sound the trumpet. To warn you of what is just over the horizon, that no one else will tell you. […] You know things aren’t OK. They aren’t normal. Many of us have this feeling that we’re headed towards something — something not good.”
#2 “If you felt any of these things, I want you to know this: One, you’re right, it’s not your imagination. Whether you’re on the left or right, it’s not your imagination. Something is very wrong. Two, you’re not alone. You are not the only one feeling this. And, three, this is the difficult beginning of a new era.”
#3 “But, I believe that we are now squarely in the days the Bible foretold. I told you there would come a time when we passed all the exits. And we’re there. We need to fight to slow down the chaos. We need to do everything we can to slow chaos down.”
He hit the nail right on the head, and I don’t think that I could have said it better myself.
So many people out there have such an ominous feeling about the times that we are moving into, and a lot of them wonder if others are feeling the exact same way. Of course the truth is that countless others are also sensing that something has gone horribly wrong. Each one of us can look around and see that society is coming apart at the seams, and nobody seems to have a realistic plan for ending the chaos. Instead, there seems to be a general consensus that we have crossed a threshold into a dangerous new period in our history and that there is no going back to the way that things were before.
