Since I know this is what everyone will be talking about tomorrow, among other similar incidents, I want to address this one. This is a bit of a conundrum. I’ve been saying we are in the second phase of the insurgency where violence will escalate and by all metrics, that is certainly the case. Shootings are up across the nation. And we’re not even going to enter the gun debate, this is about insurgency.
The Marxist-Left has been fomenting violence in the streets at every opportunity. There are those that do not agree with the current Marxist insurgency and they have been screaming at their TV’s, “Why wont someone do something?” They have watched nearly three months of continuous rioting in several cities. They watch this and say, “Not in my town!” Tonight in Kenosha things went up a notch. Some residents of that city decided that they were not going to stand by and allow their city to burn so they took to the streets as well, armed.
They stood guard at several businesses, some walked the streets. One was separated and alone when a crowd set on him, shouting, “Get him, get him!” The guy runs down the street to get away. And just like every bad horror movie I’ve ever seen, he trips over his own feet and falls. The crowd quickly reaches him, he’s on his back, multiple threats present themselves, he’s seen all the video of people being beaten in the streets, so he fires.
On his back in the middle of the street he engages three targets from what I can see. Surprisingly, he doesn’t hit the one at near pointblank range but does hit the second. The third aggressor, for whatever reason, presses the attack and catches a round just above his elbow that blasts a large section of his arm away.
The shooter then gets to his feet and runs towards police. As he gets closer, he raises his hands a couple times. Making it to the police Bearcat, he’s ready to turn himself over, only to have, not only that armored vehicle, but two others drive past. He stands in the road confused and finally stops behind a police car.
That’s all of the video I have been able to find. So, let’s break that down. We have no idea why this guy is running from the crowd or why they want to get him. What we do absolutely know is, he was there voluntarily and carrying a long gun. The shooting, seen only in the context of what we’ve seen looks justified. However, we do not know what led up to it.
But it’s really a moot point. We now have casualties, from gunfire, to the Leftists. Yes, there is plenty of video showing the Leftist beating people in the streets and even pointing weapons at them. In Kenosha there are groups riding around shooting at random white people and random homes. A four year old girl was killed in one. Right or wrong, the guy on his back in the street only shot people attacking him and didn’t shoot one with his hands raised. I do not know what all the other shooting in the video is.
So, here we are now. Trading gunfire in the streets. Tonight could very well be a turning point in our current situation. Or, it may not. However, were I a betting man, and I am, I would wager on the escalation side of the equation. While the death of a four year old girl will be ignored by the MSM, the shooting of two aggressor by a guy on his back in the street, will not. That video will be global by dawn, if it isn’t already.
Insurgencies rely on the fact that at some point there will be bodies in the street, they need it. They need to galvanize support and bring more people into the streets. Unfortunately for them it wasn’t LEO or DOD personnel that fired those shots, it was the other side. Well, it was another side.
With the Marxists, Federals and Right leaning being the three legs of this terrible tripod, it would now appear that the last in that list has shown up for the game. Yes, they have been there, but tonight was different. It was a civilian that fired those shots. He chose to engage in the issue and right or wrong, found himself in a very bad position where he felt, and sadly, probably rightly so, that he was about to be assaulted and feared for his life. After all, there was at least one gun at play, he just happened to have it and manage to keep it.
So, the question is, will the Left respond in kind to this? Will they now see it as a weapons free scenario? No matter how this plays out, it will not end well.
