We are not subjected to authority under Romans chapter 13. That chapter is misunderstood. Governments were instituted by God (not man) for good. Read verses 3 and 4. If the authority is not meant for good but for evil (as we continually see) we are to resist it.
As a Christian, I am free of Romans 13 until authority is instituted by God and that ain’t going to happen until after the Tribulation.
The state is subject also, that is the point. we all are subject to the Higher, The Most High.
in america we the people are the leaders. they serve us.
