People of faith and Legacy Center Church members gathered in Cary on Saturday to decry police brutality and pray for an end to racism.
Photos and video shared on social media show the group praying together as the pastors sat on a bench and their white peers knelt in prayer with buckets to wash their feet.
The washing of feet is a religious rite observed by various Christian denominations based of Jesus Christ’s commandment that his followers should wash one another’s feet, following his example, and to express humility and love.
Is there also photos and video shared on social media showing a group praying together as the pastors sit on a bench and their black peers kneel in prayer with buckets to wash the feet of white people?
Washing of the feet shows humility and SERVITUDE. You best be sure of who you are bowing down to before you bow. What a perversion of an act of love by Christ.
Beyond revolting. The devil is laughing his ass off, and getting stronger every day. Not only would I never do this, I would never allow someone of color to wash my feet… I cannot even imagine allowing someone to do this.
This is nauseating. I am ashamed, and will not call these cowards my brothers and sisters. I’m saddened that now, more than a few in my profession have dishonored this once honorable profession. I stand with the Constitution, and if ever asked to dishonor it I know there are many more like me that will take up arms and fight. Sadly we will be alone in our fight because hatred for us has put targets on our backs from the very people we would proudly stand and die with. I will never live to see the day they take America’s guns or freedoms. I will either die by the hand of those who will try to take them or those that hate me and fear I would take them . And I will NEVER bow to any man! I will bow only to my God my Savior.
