Iran hit an Israeli hospital and in an astonishing demonstration of zero self-awareness, the Israelis are calling it a war crime. The accusation would perhaps be more meaningful if the IDF hadn’t been recently, and systematically, bombing hospitals and churches in Gaza.
…and
Yannow its funny (to me), in part b/c they’re noticing all ‘the noticing’ going on these last few years… you’d think a moment of self reflection would be in order, but, no, they double down on the very reasons so many people are ‘noticing’.
No kidding. Stuff like this is at the root of why 109 countries already kicked them out. They’re like the autistic guy you knew in high school who had zero social graces, no self awareness of how irritating and inconsiderate his weird behavior was perceived by others, no ability for self reflection (or self improvement), and couldn’t take a hint that he was disliked for all the above, after behaving that way for years. And if you confronted him on it directly, it was always “What? What did I do? Why is everyone so mean to me?”. The perpetual victim complex, indeed.
If one needs further evidence of this, consider that Israel is a closed border country, with some of the tightest immigration control on Earth, an intentional ethnostate by design. And yet their people (many of whom hold dual citizenship both here and in Israel, another practice that needs to be ended) are deeply involved in our government, constantly seeking to ensure our borders are wide open as official policy, and allowing the dregs of humanity to enter our country with no controls in place, something that they would never allow to happen in Israel.. Or the fact that they’ve been beating us over the head for the last 8 decades with a guilt complex over the Holocaust, despite the fact the US involvement in the war is what ultimately ended WWII (and the camps).
No gratitude given, just constant reminders via tv and movies, a plethora of memorials to the event built all over our country, and an expectation on their part that perpetual deference is required of us because they were once victimized. Oh, and no memorials in Israel I’m aware of to either the US or Russia for their respective sacrifices in lives lost for ending the war and liberating the camps.
They never so much as mention all the others who were killed in WWII, it’s always all about them. Meanwhile, far larger (in terms of body count) and nastier genocides that took place in the 20th century -- The Holodomor, the tens of millions killed during (and after) the Russian revolution, Mao and his great leap forward, as just a few examples -- go unacknowledged, and don’t have any memorials or forced endless guilt trips laid on others for “not doing enough to stop them”. Oh, and then there’s the fact that even saying all I just did above is typically met with pained, knee jerk screams of “anti-semitism! Punish that insolent heretic for merely daring to speak this way!” Yeah guys, that routine is wearing kind of thin these days.
This seems to be a deeply ingrained pattern of behavior for them. But then again, why change when it has worked so well for them in exploiting -- and abusing -- the good will of others? Granted, eventually the patience and forbearance of others runs out, and the consequences come due. It appears to me that inflection point may be getting rather close now. The bottom line is that nobody likes an overbearing, two faced whiner. And yet they have created that perception of themselves through a consistent pattern of behavior.
Turns out those tunnels and bunkers under hospitals in Gaza were originally built by Israel when they occupied it. Hamas just moved into them. So, it isn’t unreasonable to conclude that military operations centers are underneath them and they are using the hospital as human shields. Probably same thing for schools and houses of worship.
Yep. The use of hospitals, schools and churches as shields by military groups is considered a war crime (see https://guide-humanitarian-law.org/content/article/3/human-shields/)… by definition this includes using the tunnels directly under these buildings to shield themselves. Just like attacking non-military targets (civilians) and taking hostages is a war crime.
It doesn’t matter. No amount of arguments or proof, from either side, is going to sway the discussion. Both Israel and Iran (and be extension, Gaza militants who are funded by Iran, who was funded by Obama and Biden, BTW) have caused destruction and death. The people who hate the Jews and the State of Israel are every bit as convinced of the righteousness of their stance as the people who believe Israel has a right to exist and to defend itself.
Both Judaism and Islam are cruel and destructive religions. I would suggest every American in Israel to get the hell out of that country, and keep America completely out of any engagement with Iran. Any who stay are on their own. If Israel wants to buy weapons from us, okay. America is, after all, an arms dealer. America also has the right to refuse to do business with anyone they don’t like… too bad that doesn’t apply to American businesses in our own country, but that’s a different discussion.
Thomas Jefferson’s thoughts on Judaism were pretty clear…
While Jefferson upheld freedom of Jews in America to hold fast to their faith, he belittled Judaism in private. In an 1803 letter to Dr. Benjamin Rush, Jefferson accused Jews of having a “degrading and injurious” understanding of God that was “imperfect” and devoid of “sound dictates of reason and morality”.
He believed that Jews “needed reformation” and that Jesus had exposed the futility of certain Jewish rituals and observances.
I find that to be reasonable.
Israel has suffered ALOT from Muslims. So when an enemy nation says they are going to TOTALLY destroy you one must defend themselves. Yet, Americans are so un-informed about the Israeli conflict and really don’t care enough for find out what has happened and the “why” the now is happening. SAD!!
Then strap on your boots and head on over…
Amen. 🤠
He is probably IDF and sitting in the Internet psyop room somewhere in Tel Aviv. That is frontline soldiering for an Israeli. He is here to shape and influence American opinions. If you engage him he will probably “explain” to you and us that Israel deliberately targets hospitals because it has to, while Iran hit a hospital last night with evil intent using a missile that has no better than 1 kilometer target radius accuracy. There is no chance at all that anything “civilian” hit on the ground in Israel could have been struck by Israeli Iron Dome misfires even though there is video evidence of 2 doing that in the same salvo just the other night at the Nevatim airbase.
