Three of the most important American political declarations are the Declaration of Independence, Jefferson Davis’s inaugural address, and Abraham Lincoln’s first inaugural address. The first was a declaration of secession from the British empire. The second was a declaration of secession from the Washington, D.C empire. The third was a declaration of non-independence, ever, under any circumstances, from the D.C. empire – or else.
Flatly repudiating the Declaration of Independence and the Jeffersonian principle of government’s just powers being derived from the consent of the governed, Lincoln invented on the spot a new theory of the American founding by saying that “[N]o State . . . can lawfully get out of the Union.” The union, Lincoln said, was what Murray Rothbard called a “Venus flytrap” from which there could never be any escape, ever, for any reason. This sounds more like the compulsory Soviet Union held together by violence than the voluntary American union of the founding fathers.

You have some great articles Roth; however, no one in the FUSA has the balls to do anything even remotely like what your meme is suggesting. Ain’t going to happen. It would take too much energy and sacrifice to overcome the force of inertia/complacence. No one, repeat no one is willing to be the one to fire the second shot heard round the world and kick-start CW 2.0.

I have a theory on that assertion. It is essentially the one Mel Gibson used in his Braveheart and Patriot movies. People will opt to stay out of it until it comes right to them. The enemy seems willing to oblige with taking the fight kinetic and local. Result? There are 70 or 80 million adult Heritage Americans with a anti marxist political bent and the means of self defense. To state for a fact that every single one of these persons will simply do nothing and accept being murdered by political death squads seems like bad calculus to me.
Now tell us about yourself. We can kick this back and forth for a while debating your theory, or you can prove your own point by telling us how you sold all of your firearms and used to proceeds to buy a new TV and a couch so you can wait for your killers in comfort, all because no one else on the right has done anything yet. Is that how it is?
My son and I have discussed this very point. To move too soon is tantamount to suicide and to be smeared as a white supremacist terrorist. A friend and I agreed that given the right circumstances and opportunity, any of us is capable of anything. We see injustice meted out to others and complain, but do nothing. However, if that same injustice were meted out to me? We’re back to circumstance and opportunity.
My opinion, and it’s only that, is that we Americans are far too comfortable to rise up on mass to restore our Republic. There may, however, come a point where enough of us are simultaneously afflicted severely enough that a chain reaction occurs. We only need 3%. That’s all it took before …
