I voted for Trump. First Federal election I voted in since Obama’s first election. I voted because of hope. Well, hope has failed. I loathe Trump. I only hope (there’s that word again) that he hasn’t pulled us into WWIII.
Not only has he betrayed his promise not to get us in any new wars, his action was unconstitutional. I seem to remember watching him swear an oath to the Constitution. And what of the Air Force pilots of the bombers? They were given unconstitutional orders. They swore an oath to protect and defend the Constitution. If they were men of their word they would have respectfully declined the orders and accepted the consequences.
My only conclusion is that oaths and one’s word is no longer important. They’re just something to bandy about for show. Our pre-Christian ancestors would have been shunned and ejected from the tribe for such.
He had plenty of good advice surrounding him currently, Tulsi is the best thing and he threw her out. Shame on Trump and shame on the GOP. It’s all a set up, Mike Johnson and Thune took care of the congress so they would not have to vote on war because they know we will not support another war. The congress will never do the DOGE cuts and they will use the coming conflict to steal more from us and do more patriot act legislation to keep us under control.
