I have found that turning points in my life do not happen based on one incident. Usually I have several “coincidences” reinforce this change so that I recognize its significance. Today in church, the sermon covered Proverbs 29:18:
Where there is no vision, the people perish: but he that keepeth the law, happy is he.
An partial analysis for “law” is shown below:
The word “law” may be used in Proverbs 29:18 as a reference to the Law of Moses, to the teachings of the prophets, or to the instructions of the wisemen. Whatever the meaning of the word “law,” the law here stands for God’s word. Obedience to God’s word is essential to the well-being of a nation or an individual: “Blessed is the nation whose God is the LORD, the people he chose for his inheritance” (Psalm 33:12).
This sermon reinforced two beliefs:
- Our present government has no vision. Our nation is on the verge of economic collapse based on a GDP of $14 trillion but a combined national debt/unfunded liabilities of $127 trillion. We will soon be at a point where the total tax revenue collected will not pay the interest on our debt. Do you see any politician with a vision to address the reality of this issue?
- Our government has abandoned the Constitution: the Supreme Law of the Land in our judicial system. Our society abandoned Biblical law when the church accepted the tax free carrot offered by the government’s 501(C)3 statute. Our current attorney general has abandoned any pretext of following the laws of our country. Congress is passing unconstitutional legislation and former Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi would not even address her responsibility under her oath of offer toward the Constitution.
What were the other events that happened today after this sermon?
1. This movie shows us how we should never try to comprehend how God works:

2. This article gives us a vision for hope:

3. The following article outlines the lack of vision in the Republican Party. A large majority of the patriot movement was taken over by the Republican Party last year. Why are we not asking ourselves why the House of Representatives is not taking action to save our country?

Frederic Bastiat explains what we now face in a succinct manner:
When law and morality contradict each other, the citizen has the cruel alternative of either losing his moral sense or losing his respect for the law.
I look forward to experiencing the consequences of this turning point since I know it is all according to God’s plan.

David,
You done did had a vision brother!!

I loved the video David. It sure sounds like you were sent a message today. It is a sad world when we have to decide between law and morality! May God continue to lead your path!
“Do you see any politician with a vision to address the reality of this issue?”
Yes, but not enough of them to make a difference. I was against forming a 3rd party until very recently. Attempting to take over the Republican party could eventually be successful if the tea party remained active and managed to get more and more conservatives elected in each cycle. But it’s becoming clear to me that the process would take too long. We will have an economic collapse before the Republican party can be changed enough to make a difference.
America’s Founding Fathers’ hope was that its citizens would uphold the Declaration and the Constitution, but that we would live our lives according to Judeo-Christian values. They also understood that we have certain unalienable Rights to life, Liberty and the pursuit of happiness that are derived from God and not the government. They included these rights rights in the Declaration to ensure that government would also understand and respect them. For the past fifteen years of my life, especially the two most recent, I have been acutely aware of the government’s efforts to replace God with government. It is increasingly clear that much of society has turned away from Him in acceptance of this false Messiah (Government).
We have a two party system in this country, one of which, the Democrats, is so far gone that it is seen by most of the Tea Party as beyond redemption. That leaves the Republican Party. Unless and until our system completely collapses, I choose it as the best route to restoring the Constitution through removal of incumbents of both parties and replacing them with true representatives of the people.
My computer is dreadfully slow and I was just able to get the video loaded to watch. It was wonderful and I thank you for sharing it.
We only have a two party system in this country because the political parties force us through legislation and we accept this as sheeple. This was never the intent of the founding fathers. Are we going to go back to the founding principles or only some of them? Which party is worse, the Democrats who have transformed the United States into Socialism (which leads to slavery) or the Republicans who are used the Tea Party to gain power? Both lack the vision or the intent to restore the country back to the Constitution or save us from an economic collapse.
At some point, we will have to admit that the Republican victory in the House of Representatives in 2010 has achieved nothing. What have they accomplished in two months while the debt continues to spiral out of control? More Democrats voted against the continuing resolution than Republicans by twofold. We still have no budget.
