10 Horrible Gun Control Laws from VA Democrats

So I was curious, What’s your take on the whole 2A Sanctuary movement?

Image result for compromise bologna jesse helms

I was sent an email asking for my opinion on the 2nd Amendment sanctuary movement. Since a large part of my business is laser etching firearms, I have a FFL. I also am a licensed NRA rifle instructor and range safety officer. There are other examples showing my support of the 2nd Amendment but here is something else to consider: is the 2nd Amendment more important than our God given right to defend ourselves?

Our forefathers just codified this right as an amendment to the Constitution to clarify that its purpose was to keep the federal government in check by the people. So let me return to the above question that started this post: If you have to beg for your rights, you really don’t have them. If you believe that the passage of 2A sanctuary status in Virginia counties will make a difference, then you have to ask how? If the multitude of soldiers and people who have sworn to uphold and defend the Constitution have not stood up to the tyranny in Washington, D.C., why do you think the people in Virginia will stand up when it gets real? Remember Randy Weaver, WACO and LaVoy Finicum?

I live in Cherokee County, NC which is a gun (not 2A) sanctuary county since March 2019. Here is a snippet from the news:

The declaration passed last week is considered mainly symbolic, since commissioners in North Carolina get their authority from the state.

Did you know that the state can remove and install county commissioners in North Carolina if they “deem” them to be in violation of state laws? Although this declaration sounds good, it is a symbolic gesture that was used for political pandering.

Let’s look at this from another viewpoint: what would I do if I was against the 2nd Amendment:

1. I would draft and pass as many different resolutions and laws to restrict the right to bear arms. When I and others were actively working against the Obama revolution, we had neither the financial resources, time or organizational skills necessary to fight the multitude of “measures” that were being thrown at us. If we concentrated on one, they would push another issue. It did not matter if it was health care, climate change, energy production, education, 2nd Amendment or something else. The tactic was to overwhelm us. We saw the success of this methodology which resulted in the destruction of the American Dream.

2. Once the structure was in place, I would start to fine people for their “transgressions”. Nothing is more effective than destroying leaders’ families through bankruptcy. It is safer, effective and will allow them to sway public opinion through the media. Imagine the headlines:

Another White Supremacist arrested and fined for (insert propaganda).

Communists understand that time is on their side.

3. Once the tide starts to turn, I would make some high profile arrests which included confiscations. Imagine a picture of a man and his collection of firearms and ammunition designed to “shock” the average person. Throw in some made up story concerning what he (and his accomplices) were going to do and others will start to question their associations and actions.

4. Have the FBI then interrogate these terrorists and coerce signed confessions from them to protect their families. Do you know the conviction rate of the DOJ? There is a reason it is over 90%.

5. Rinse and repeat.

6. Wait.

7. Take control of a subjugated population.

How do we win? We must understand that our right to protect ourselves is a God given right as stated above. If we do not believe this, we are denying the Word of God. We must also understand that any compromise with the state will result in our enslavement or death. We have to understand that they will do anything to accomplish their goals. We have to believe that Freedom and Liberty come with a high price. We have to be willing to pay that price for our children.

How Believers Will Be Judged

I saw the dead, great and small, standing before the throne, and books were opened. Then another book was opened, which is the book of life. And the dead were judged by what was written in the books, according to what they had done. (Revelation 20:12)

What about the last judgment? Will our sins be remembered? Will they be revealed? Anthony Hoekema puts it wisely like this: “The failures and shortcomings of . . . believers . . . will enter into the picture on the Day of Judgment. But — and this is the important point — the sins and shortcomings of believers will be revealed in the judgment as forgiven sins, whose guilt has been totally covered by the blood of Jesus Christ.”

Picture it like this. God has a file on every person (the “books” of Revelation 20:12). All you’ve ever done or said (Matthew 12:36) is recorded there with a grade (from “A” to “F”). When you stand before “the judgment seat of Christ” (2 Corinthians 5:10) to be judged “for what [you have] done in the body, whether good or evil,” God will open the file and lay out the tests with their grades. He will pull out all the “F’s” and put them in a pile. Then he will take all the “D’s” and “C’s” and pull the good parts of the test out and place them with the “A’s”, then put the bad with the “F’s.” Then he will take all the “B’s” and “A’s” and pull the bad parts out of them and put them in the “F” pile, and put all the good parts in the “A” pile.

Then he will open another file (“the book of life”) and find your name, because you are in Christ through faith. Behind your name will be a wood-stick match made from the cross of Jesus. He will take the match, light it, and set the “F” pile, with all your failures and deficiencies, on fire and burn them up. They will not condemn you, and they will not reward you.

Then he will take from your “book of life” file a sealed envelope marked “free and gracious bonus: life!” and put it on the “A” pile (see Mark 4:24 and Luke 6:38). Then he will hold up the entire pile and declare, “By this your life bears witness to the grace of my Father, the worth of my blood, and the fruit of my Spirit. These bear witness that your life is eternal. And according to these you will have your rewards. Enter into the everlasting joy of your Master.”

Record Number Of Guns Sold As Dems Vow To Disintegrate Rights

In a not so surprising report, the FBI conducted a record number of background checks for gun sales in 2019. All of these gun purchases ramp up every time democrats open their mouths voicing support to disintegrating the rights of the people.

he FBI carried out a record 28 million background checks on firearms purchases in 2019, as Americans rushed to buy weapons amid calls by wealthy elitists in Hollywood and Democrat politicians for tougher gun laws.

According to FBI data, 28,369,750 background checks were performed in 2019, smashing the previous record of 27 million in 2016. The agency ran 202,465 checks on Black Friday alone. The Christmas period was a festive one for firearms retailers, with just under three million checks carried out in December, the second-highest month since the National Instant Criminal Background Check System began in 1998. RT

“Americans are choosing to invest their hard-earned dollars in their ability to exercise their rights and buy the firearms they want before gun control politicians attempt to regulate away that ability,” a spokesman for the National Shooting Sports Foundation told the Associated Press in December.

Only a Little While
By John Piper

After you have suffered a little while, the God of all grace, who has called you to his eternal glory in Christ, will himself restore, confirm, strengthen, and establish you. (1 Peter 5:10)

Sometimes in the midst of the afflictions and ordinary stresses of daily life, we may cry out, “How long, O Lord? I can’t see beyond today’s pain. What will tomorrow bring? Will you be there for that affliction too?”

This question is utterly urgent, because Jesus said, “The one who endures to the end will be saved” (Mark 13:13). We tremble at the thought of being among “those who shrink back and are destroyed” (Hebrews 10:39). We are not playing games. Suffering is a horrible threat to faith in God’s future grace.

Therefore, it is a wonderful thing to hear Peter promise the afflicted and weary Christians, “After you have suffered a little while, the God of all grace, who has called you to his eternal glory in Christ, will himself restore, confirm, strengthen, and establish you” (1 Peter 5:10).

The assurance that he will not delay beyond what we can endure, and that he will abolish the flaws we bemoan, and that he will establish forever what has tottered so long — that assurance comes from the God of “all grace.”

God is not the God of some grace — like bygone grace. He is “the God of all grace” — including the infinite, inexhaustible stores of future grace, that we need to endure to the end.

Faith in that future grace, strengthened by the memory of past grace, is the key to enduring on the narrow and hard road that leads to life.

Virginia Ban On Woods And Backyard Shooting?

Am I reading this right?

SENATE BILL NO. 353 Offered January 8, 2020 Prefiled January 6, 2020

A BILL to amend the Code of Virginia by adding in Article 3 of Chapter 12 of Title 18.2 a section numbered 18.2-511.2, relating to outdoor shooting ranges; prohibited adjacent to residential areas; exceptions; civil penalty.———-Patron– Bell———-Referred to Committee for Courts of Justice———-

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:

1. That the Code of Virginia is amended by adding in Article 3 of Chapter 12 of Title 18.2 a section numbered 18.2-511.2 as follows:

§ 18.2-511.2. Outdoor shooting ranges; prohibited adjacent to residential areas; exceptions; civil penalty.

A. As used in this section, “outdoor shooting range” means any partially enclosed or unenclosed area or facility designed for the use of rifles, shotguns, pistols, silhouettes, skeet, trap, black powder, or any other similar sport shooting.

B. It is unlawful to operate an outdoor shooting range within 500 yards of any property zoned for residential use unless the Range Design Criteria developed by the U.S. Department of Energy, Office of Health, Safety and Security have been met.

C. Any person who violates the provisions of this section is subject to a civil penalty of not less than $1,000 nor more than $100,000 for the initial violation and $5,000 per day for each day of violation thereafter.

By stipulating “any partially enclosed or unenclosed area,” they seem to want to outlaw any backyard or woods shooting, regardless of county or town regulations.  In other words, your “range” doesn’t have to be a formally designated range open for business.  It might be your backyard, as long as you’ve put up a berm or some steel targets.

I guess they really are coming for the Fudd regardless of what he thinks.  Shooting is a perishable skill.

There appears to be no depth to which they will not stoop.

2A Sanctuary Spreads…

Commissioners vote, declare Lincoln County a ‘2nd Amendment Sanctuary’

LINCOLN COUNTY, N.C. (WBTV) – The Lincoln County Board of Commissioners voted Monday to declare the county a “Second Amendment Sanctuary.”

“The citizens of the United States have the right to keep and bear arms,” County Commissioners Chairman Carrol Mitchem said. “That’s not hard to understand in my opinion.”

Mitchem says this vote signifies a desire to defend that right.

The resolution states that “the Lincoln County Board of Commissioners hereby expresses its intent to uphold the Second Amendment rights of the citizens of Lincoln County and that public funds, resources, employees, buildings or offices not be used to restrict Second Amendment rights or to aid or assist in the enforcement of the unnecessary and unconstitutional restriction of the rights under the Second Amendment of the citizens of Lincoln County to keep and bear arms.”

“If the state or even the federal government comes down with additional regulations, it’s gonna say that Lincoln County is not gonna come forth with that and it’s gonna be hard to take guns in Lincoln County,” Mitchem said.

It does not change any regulations currently in place.

Commissioner Richard Permenter had to be convinced before voting yes with the other commissioners.

“I viewed this resolution as pointless because it’s completely outside the purview of Lincoln County government,” Permenter said.

But ultimately he saw it as an opportunity for education.

“This is an issue that’s defined by the extremes on both sides and this at least makes a statement that perhaps encourages some dialogue among moderate people,” he said.

Some people living in Lincoln County say they are thankful for the protective measure. One gun owner says she has used her weapon to ward off burglars.

“I was to able to keep the person from entering the house,” she said.

Commissioner Mitchem wants people and politicians to know where the county stands.

“We are gonna stand by our guns, come hell or high water,” he said.

DOCUMENT: Read the full resolution from Lincoln County here

The vote came after a petition on Change.org calling for the resolution was signed by thousands of people calling for commissioners “to ensure that no attempts to disarm Lincoln county residents will be tolerated.”

Lincoln County is one of hundreds of Second Amendment, or gun, sanctuary counties, cities and ordinances across the country, with several in the Carolinas.

Response to: AFTER VIRGINIA: HOW TO CHANGE COURSE BY DEREK COLLINS

Let me just start off by saying I read everything that NC Scout publishes at American Partisan. Thank you for publishing this article. You may read it here…

I was rather shocked at the article posted this morning. I don’t know if NC Scout agrees with the sentiments in the article but I was glad to see that he didn’t actually write it.

In response to you Derek Collins, Been There, Done That, Got the T-Shirt.

I’m glad that this will not hurt your feelings, as it will not hurt mine that you disagree with me. You know that old saying about opinions.

Everything you outlined in your article has been tried numerous times, but I have first hand experience with it. For those of you that read my articles at NCRenegade you are already familiar with this story. Allow me to fill in Mr. Collins.

My journey in your plan began sometime right before Obama was re-elected. The local Tea Party held meetings the third Tuesday of every month at a local restaurant. I decided it was time to get involved. I attended my first Tea Party meeting and almost immediately I was shaking my head in disbelief. The first topic they were discussing was whether or not they should change their name from the Tea Party. Most people were stating that such a stigma was now attached to the Tea Party name that it should be changed so that they might be able to accomplish more. Now this was my first time at the Tea Party meeting, no one knew me, but I raised my hand to be recognized. I took hold of that microphone and introduced myself, then proceeded to lay some truth on them. I basically told them that no matter what they did, they would be hated. That there was no getting along with the other side no matter our name. It’s what we stand for that they hate. Quit trying to hide and stand up for what you believe in and what is right. That’s the basic gist of what I said. After the meeting that night the two leaders of the Tea Party stopped to talk to me and expressed how glad they were that I came and that they hoped I would continue to come. So my journey in your plan began.

Now I’ll try and keep this short and hope that you will read some links I provide on your own that also tells this story. The next step in your plan I also achieved. I was nominated and voted onto the Rowan Republican Executive Committee. With my addition the Tea Party now controlled the Executive Committee by a 2 vote margin. The Rino’s were pissed. But we had outsmarted them. We did everything we were supposed to do and better than the Rino’s ever had. We got many Tea Party people elected to County Commissioner boards etc. We even had major influence over writing the North Carolina Republican Party Platform. We raised more money in the years we had control than the Rino’s had ever been able to.

Then the unthinkable happened. I had written a Censure for Rep. Richard Hudson. While the Tea Party outnumber the Rino’s the Chairman was still a Rino. I introduced the censure and all hell broke loose. I’ll provide the links here for you to read about it.

https://www.salisburypost.com/2015/02/13/political-notebook-rowan-republican-wants-to-censure-hudson-run-for-congress/
There are more articles if you just google my name and censure Richard Hudson.

A few months later at the Convention all but one of us Tea Party members on the Executive committee were voted out. It was over. The Rino’s went and got the country club Republicans and their money and were able to muscle us out of the executive committee. All because we tried holding a Representative accountable.

So you see, while you have noble intentions, there is no voting our way out of this. Take a look at the freedom index on the New American. How many elected representatives have a score over 90%?
https://www.thenewamerican.com/freedom-index

I appreciate your thoughts. I understand where you are coming from. I am glad this will not hurt your feelings. I also will go to bed knowing that I’ve been there and done that, and that voting is useless. Good luck if you continue to choose the viscous path many have already been down. Those that have already been down that path are preparing for TINVOWOOT.

Gain What You Cannot Lose
By John Piper

Jesus looked at them and said, “With man it is impossible, but not with God. For all things are possible with God.” (Mark 10:27)

Here are two great incentives from Jesus to become a World Christian and to dedicate yourself to the cause of Frontier Missions. As a goer or a sender.

1. Every impossibility with men is possible with God (Mark 10:27). The conversion of hardened sinners will be the work of God and will accord with his sovereign plan. We need not fear or fret over our weakness. The battle is the Lord’s, and he will give the victory.

2. Christ promises to work for us, and to be for us so much that, when our missionary life is over, we will not be able to say we’ve sacrificed anything (Mark 10:29–30).

When we follow his missionary prescription, we discover that even the painful side effects work to improve our condition. Our spiritual health, our joy, improves a hundredfold. And when we die, we do not die. We gain eternal life.

I do not appeal to you to screw up your courage and sacrifice for Christ. I appeal to you to renounce all you have, to obtain life that satisfies your deepest longings. I appeal to you to count all things as rubbish for the surpassing value of standing in the service of the King of kings. I appeal to you to take off your store-bought rags and put on the garments of God’s ambassadors.

I promise you persecutions and privations — but remember the joy! “Blessed are those who are persecuted for righteousness’ sake, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven” (Matthew 5:10).

On January 8, 1956, five Waorani Indians of Ecuador killed Jim Elliot and his four missionary companions as they were trying to bring the gospel to the Waorani tribe of sixty people.

Four young wives lost husbands and nine children lost their fathers. Elisabeth Elliot wrote that the world called it a nightmare of tragedy. Then she added, “The world did not recognize the truth of the second clause in Jim Elliot’s credo: ‘He is no fool who gives what he cannot keep to gain what he cannot lose.’”
