I felt the following comment from the article It Is Time For a Frank Discussion was worthy of its own post:

I think that in terms of Constitutional Law this begs the question of: Do we even have legitimate governance in the US? The sad reality of it all is that we have and have had for quite some time now (decades) a rogue organization of loosely allied and self-serving career politicians and their protégés retaining/gaining  positions traditionally held by duly elected representatives that were at least somewhat beholding to the fulfillment of their respective constitutional duties. Now, there’s not even any pretense of abiding by and honoring their sworn constitutional duties.

Worse still is that they gain and/or retain their “faux” positions because they have been allowed to do so by an intellectually lazy and self-absorbed American public that is more concerned about dinner and Monday Night Football than the fate of their nation. I really don’t enjoy having to say this but before we go blaming or pointing fingers at anyone or any group we all need to take a damn look in the mirror.

All the bitching and moaning in the world is not going to do anything but gain us admittance into more and increasingly painful slavery, both physical and spiritual. On a daily basis right at home (cause I can’t afford to even go anywhere anymore) I do what I can to resist and to engage people when I see them in conversation about this topic. Some listen, most become either disinterested or dismissive.  Some even get a bit hostile, but you know what, I don’t back down, ever.

I don’t know if I’m a patriot or just stubborn but I know what I believe and more importantly, why I believe it. I have lost most every “friend” I ever had, and the love of my life (I thought) all because I refuse to be held accountable to a set of “laws” that those involved in their making aren’t even held accountable to. I cannot abide being forced to finance a system that works against my (and our, in my opinion) best interests.

The only reason we are in this mess is that we ALLOW it! Stop allowing it, stop paying for anything you don’t absolutely need, ESPECIALLY from the fascist/corporatist institutions like Wal-Mart, Coca-Cola, etc. Barter, buy locally produced, organize a general strike, anything, just stop paying for what you say you don’t want, at the very least. Deprive the machine of the fuel it needs to run. Defeat this monster by starving it. We’re not going to “fix” or “reform” the system, we must force its collapse and start anew. It will eventually collapse under its own weight in time, but better a “controlled demolition” now than a meltdown later.

Throughout our history, like the term or not (hell, call it what you want) non-compliance is the only tool that effects long term change. In intent and later in action, that is exactly what The Declaration of Independence was all about, a declaration of non-compliance and disassociation. Otherwise they would have called it The Declaration of War, which in effect was what it became, but Britain became the aggressor, the bully, in that instance and the colonies then acted in self-defense. And no one likes, much less respects a bully.

Lots of good people are frustrated with the world, and I understand that only too well. They are, furthermore, eager for the world to improve, and I respect that a great deal.

Their problem arises, however, right on the heels of these desires, when they ask the question, “What should I do?” And that’s where the wheels fall off.

All the Popular Answers Are Wrong

The world is full of people who are glad to tell you what to do. They have carefully thought out arguments as to why their plan is the right one and why everyone else’s is wrong. They’ll encourage you to commit to them, and they’ll try to surround you with people who have already chosen their plan. If you join, you’ll get lots of pats on the back and assurances that you’re a good person.

But all those ways are wrong. They offer you fast, cheap self-esteem. They offer you a fast track to feeling useful, important, and wanted. And all you have to do is join their very pleasant crowd.

Let me make this very clear: There is no blueprint for freedom. There will be no great plan to follow. People who say they have such a thing, while they may be well-meaning, bright, and even respectable, are moving in the wrong direction. (And I truly don’t mean to criticize here; we’ve all made our mistakes.) Here’s the core of the issue:

If we want a world that is safe for individuals, we’ll have to create it as individuals, not as groups.

Groups beget after their own kind, and individuals beget after their own kind.

I’m not the first person to decide this, by the way; here’s what Albert Schweitzer had to say on the subject many years ago:

The unnatural way of spreading ideas must be opposed by the natural one, which goes from man to man and relies solely on the truth of the thoughts and the hearer’s receptiveness for new truth.

It is not often that a leftist liberal reveals their true feelings, which are typically held in check by the cocoon of deception they are most comfortable with, so it was startling to hear Barack Obama denigrate women with such openness. In a response to a question concerning the debate as to whether the United States should allow Syrian refugees into the country, Barack Obama mocked Republicans by stating that they were afraid of widows and orphans. He said: “Apparently they are scared of widows and orphans coming into the United States of America…”

Of course, it is Barack Obama’s deceptive nature to portray the Syrian refugees as widows and orphans, though 76 percent of the refugees are young, military-age single men, or about 97 percent of all jihadists across the globe. But, in his effort to portray Republicans as scared little children themselves, he unwittingly admitted that he did not consider women capable of the sort of organization and dedication it would take to pull off an organized attack.

To Barack Obama, women are meek, incompetent rubes. They are defenseless and incapable of providing for their own, but are in need of government coddling, assistance and direction. While he considers men a concern in the battle for Islamic supremacy, he sees no threat from women at all.

If we are again to go forth to war, it must be total war.

We must entertain no further fantasies about establishing “democracy” among savages.
It didn’t work in South Vietnam.
It didn’t work in Afghanistan.
Despite temporary appearances to the contrary, it didn’t work in Iraq.

A rule-of-law republic cannot be imposed by force upon those of a savage, tribal, sectarian mindset. It can only exist among a people who have demonstrated both a sincere belief in moral absolutes and the willingness to fight and die to be free.   
To spare you any doubt about where I’m headed, I’ll make it absolutely explicit.
It can only work among Christians and Jews.
Unspeakable, you say? Racist, sexist, ethnicist, Islamophobic? Of course it is! Thank you for noticing.

More than half a dozen state governors have come out against President Obama’s plans to relocate several thousand Syrian refugees within the United States. Some have pledged to actively resist settlement of these refugees. Texas Gov. Greg Abbott (R), for example, signed a letter to Obama that begins “as governor of Texas, I write to inform you that the State of Texas will not accept any refugees from Syria in the wake of the deadly terrorist attack in Paris.” Louisiana Gov. Bobby Jindal (R) issued an executive order instructing all “departments, budget units, agencies, offices, entities, and officers of the executive branch of the State of Louisiana” to “utilize all lawful means to prevent the resettlement of Syrian refugees in the State of Louisiana while this Order is in effect.”

The problem for Jindal, Abbott and the other governors opposed to admitting refugees, however, is that there is no lawful means that permits a state government to dictate immigration policy to the president in this way. As the Supreme Court explained in Hines v. Davidowitz, “the supremacy of the national power in the general field of foreign affairs, including power over immigration, naturalization and deportation, is made clear by the Constitution.” States do not get to overrule the federal government on matters such as this one.

While the eyes of the world are on ISIS, Russia is creating weapons unlike anything the world has ever seen before.  Plans for a giant self-propelled nuclear torpedo that can create a giant tsunami more than 1,000 feet tall were recently “leaked by mistake” by the Russian media.  Apparently the warheads on these torpedos are designed to create so much radiation “that everything living will be killed” – including those that try to survive the attack by hiding in underground shelters.  These “robotic mini-submarines” would have a range of up to 10,000 kilometers and would be able to evade all existing U.S. detection systems.  To say that such a weapon would be a “game changer” would be a massive understatement.

I know that you are not just going to take my word for any of this.  So like I do in all of my articles, I am going to carefully document what I am saying.

The reason why we know about the plans for this new nuclear torpedo is because they were displayed on Russian state television for a few moments during a recent broadcast.  According to Russian officials, this was an “accident”.  The following comes from a report in the Independent…

Secret plans for a new Russian nuclear torpedo system have been shown on state-controlled television in what the Kremlin said was an accident.

A close-up of a confidential document detailing “Ocean Multipurpose System: Status-6” was broadcast for several seconds by Channel One Russia and NTV during coverage of a meeting between Vladimir Putin and military officials.

Could it be possible that this “accident” happened on purpose?

Your local area has to be the base of anything else that you plan to do.  Your local area should afford you many advantages over your opponents.

Everyone can have a role in your home defense force.  As you develop your potential roster of folks start assigning folks to different categories.

You’ll need:

1. Armed security folks
   1. Internal defense – capable of defending the perimeter both mounted and dismounted. Older folks and even children can be useful in this role.
   2. External defense – capable of responding to threats inside and outside the perimeter; capable of short distance recon along avenues of approach and potential threats. Generally higher skilled and requires a higher degree of physical fitness.
2. Logistics
   1. Communications/Intel – Monitoring local, regional and nationwide news. At a basic level, it’s monitoring radio nets (internal and external) and goes all the way up to more advanced HF radio comms
   2. Food and field sanitation – Procuring, preparing and distributing food supplies.
   3. Medical
      1. Routine
      2. First Aid
      3. Emergency
   4. Vehicle maintenance
   5. Weapon maintenance
   6. Resupply folks
