We Are Entering An Era Of Shattered Illusions

Brandon Smith

The structure of history is held together by two essential and distinct kinds of links, two moments in time to which no one is immune: moments of epiphany, and moments of catastrophe. Sometimes, both elements intermingle at the birth of a singular epoch. Men often awaken to understanding in the midst of great crisis; and, invariably, great crises can erupt when men awaken. These are the moments when social gravity vanishes, when the kinetic glue of normalcy melts away, and we begin to see the true foundations of our world, if a foundation exists at all.

Catastrophe occurs when too many people refuse to accept that around us always are two universes at work. There is the cold, hard reality that underlies everything. And on the surface is a veil of deceit and compromise. The more humanity compromises vital truths in order to enjoy the comfort of illusions, the more mind-shattering it will be when those illusions fall away. These two worlds can coexist only for short periods of time, and they will always and eventually collide. There is no other possible outcome.

I think it could be said that the more polarized our realities become, the more explosive and disastrous the reaction will be when the separation is removed. I feel it absolutely necessary to relate this danger because today humanity is living so historically far from the bedrock of reality, political reality, social reality and economic reality that the stage has been set for a kind of full spectrum destabilization that has never been seen before.

Gun attack on French magazine Charlie Hebdo kills 11

Gunmen have attacked the Paris office of French satirical magazine Charlie Hebdo, killing 11 people and injuring 10, French officials say.

Witnesses spoke of sustained gunfire at the office as the attackers opened fire with assault rifles before escaping.

President Francois Hollande said there was no doubt it had been a terrorist attack “of exceptional barbarity”.

A major police operation has been launched in the Paris area to catch the attackers.

Charlie’s latest tweet was a cartoon of the Islamic State militant group leader, Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi.

Do you expect the government to protect you from Islamic terror? Or do you know in your heart that the government is actually in bed with Islam. Political correctness in respect to Islam is submission to Allah. As the French are now realizing.

Shut Up Officer

police-officer-1

Time to start picketing these so-called “memorial” funds and funerals if this sort of mindless fearmongering nonsense doesn’t stop.

“With the increasing number of ambush-style attacks against our officers, I am deeply concerned that a growing anti-government sentiment in America is influencing weak-minded individuals to launch violent assaults against the men and women working to enforce our laws and keep our nation safe,” said Craig Floyd, chairman and CEO of the memorial fund.

“Enough is enough,” he said in a statement. “We need to tone down the rhetoric and rally in support of law enforcement and against lawlessness.”

Bite me Craig.

Here are the facts.  There were 126 on-duty deaths reported among all officers in 2014.  There are approximately 1 million sworn officers between federal, state, county and local government entities (and another couple of million employees who are not sworn; that is, they are not officers and do not have arrest powers, such as dispatchers and clerks.)

This is a rate of fatality of 12.6 per 100,000.  Sounds bad, right?

Wrong.

If you’re a logger, you have a fatality rate ten times that of a cop.

A fisherman?  Almost ten times — 117 per 100,000.

A pilot?  53.4 per 100,000.  Yes, really — it’s about four times as dangerous to fly a plane or chopper than be a cop.

The guy who puts your roof on?  40.5 per 100,000 — about three times as dangerous.

Without law enforcement officers, we have no law enforcement. Without law enforcement, we have no rule of law and by definition, no Republic. But this is looking at the “argument” from the wrong end. We already are living in a country without the rule of law if you look at the government’s actions at the executive, legislative and judicial branches. Laws, executive orders, court rulings and regulations have enslaved us. We have no “vote” in a representative republic since the “entitled” class out numbers us.

Who is us? Mainly the people who pay taxes, have Faith and want to be left alone. But “we” have to put aside this normalcy bias and face reality. If the government is not obeying the law, are we obligated to obey the law? It is not a matter of obeying: we are required to submit to authorities whether or not it is the law, a fair law or an unfair law. This is the most insidious part of this situation: it is dividing law abiding people even further into two distinct camps. I personally would like to obey the rule of law and by extension, law officers. However, until you have been on the receiving end of “law enforcement”,  most readers will side with law enforcement. My encounters at protests, rallies, traffic stops and IRS attacks over the past five years have shown me the reality of living in the “United States”.

By definition:

The thin blue line signifies police officers that protect society from good and evil, chaos and order. It is derived from the traditional color of police uniforms; most municipal police still wear blue, and blue has long been associated with law enforcement throughout the history of modern policing.

But today, the thin blue line is now a thick black line. The militarization of police in black uniforms and armored vehicles now signifies submission to authority instead of obedience to the rule of law.

I have no illusions that I personally can stand up to more than one law enforcement officer as a law abiding citizen. I can and will try to engage in a discussion. Again, based on personal experience, law enforcement’s thick black line precludes discussion in most instances. But I will not submit.

My advice is to build relationships with good LEOs now. This situation will not be resolved since this crisis will be exploited from the top down. And the end result will have both sides losing as our masters in waiting come and pick up the pieces. Although I used the title of the article above for this piece; my title would have been: Officer, Are You Ready to Listen?

Massive Bronx Manhunt For Shooters Of Two NYPD Cops

A day after the funeral of a colleague killed in an ambush last month fueled tensions between the force and the city’s mayor and led to another day when thousands of policemen turned their back on New York mayor Bill de Blasio, two NYC policemen were shot and wounded on Monday night, officials said,  According to Reuters, the officers, part of a plainclothes unit, were shot outside a Chinese restaurant in the Bronx district as they tracked two suspects to an armed robbery, New York Police Commissioner William Bratton told a news conference early on Tuesday. The officers were transported to St. Barnabas Hospital and were expected to survive. Both were listed in stable condition: one, aged 30, was shot in the arm and lower back. The second man, aged 38, had chest and arm wounds.

Leo Gerald: Ensuring the Uninsured Suffer

BOEHNER

America just celebrated the season of giving with Hanukkah and Christmas presents, year-end charity donations and soup kitchen volunteering. It is a time when Americans demonstrate the generosity, caring and kindness that define them as a people.

Now, however, Americans may suffer the season of GOP taking. Republicans already insisted on taking away a key protection in the Dodd-Frank Wall Street Reform and Consumer Protection Act. Now they’re intent on taking health insurance from millions of Americans who got it under the Affordable Care Act.

The Affordable Care Act (ACA) is a manifestation of Americans’ concern for each other’s welfare. Americans felt it was intolerable for so many of their friends, neighbors and relatives to be uninsured in the richest country in the world, to be bankrupted by medical bills, to die for lack of medical care. So they found a way to do something about it. That is the ACA.

Is Now the Time for a Second Political Party?

I left the GOP nearly two years ago; more properly, the GOP left me. Even before that, despite my own misgivings,  I swallowed the argument that if I didn’t vote for “the Republican” or didn’t vote at all, it was as though I voted for the liberal.  My vote would be ‘wasted’ if I voted Libertarian, for example.  Perhaps you’ve heard the same things and reacted in the same way.  This would all make sense if the Republican Party was true to its claimed aims,

not beholden to special interests, and was an effective counterpoint to the growth of socialism, depravity and division sweeping the nation.  Sadly, it has not been any of those things;  instead, it has been an enabler of those very things.

NC Parents Turned Their Kids In for Burglary After Seeing TV Footage

image

One North Carolina couple got more news than they anticipated when they sat down to watch their local TV broadcast on New Year’s Eve. The parents, who had recorded the program while out at church, spotted their 14-year-old and 16-year-old sons in surveillance footage burglarizing a store.

Nine different cameras caught the teens, who were supposed to be staying with an older sibling, busting into Fayetteville’s Tech Boyz shop with three others at 3:30 a.m. on Dec. 29 and allegedly robbing laptops, cell phones, and other merchandise.

Jewish man attacked by Muslims singing anti-Semitic songs in Berlin

Pamela Geller IJH NYC sign

What is vile and repulsive about these heinous developments is not just the media’s silence. Whatever coverage there is is minimal at best, but what there is of it is almost always devoid of motive, ideology — Islamic Jew-hatred. “Israeli” means Jewish and on the off chance that they mention “Arab,” rest assured that the perpetrator is not an Arab Christian.

Islam is driving this onslaught of Jew-hatred across the world.

Here’s the latest — in Berlin, no less. My hats off to the anti-islamization protests going on in Germany right now. Shame on Merkel for condemning these protests against this century’s Nazi equivalent.

Pro-Government Militias During Post-SHTF

Guerrillamerica

I came across this article today, entitled Are Militias a Menace?  It mainly focuses on pro-government militias during times of civil war abroad, however, there are some very important takeaways from this article.  To wit:

The distinction between “gang” and “militia” — ties with the government

Unlike rebels or criminals, whose actions are necessarily illegal and opposed by the state, these groups enjoy semi-official or informal ties with the government.

Liberal use of state-backed militias (i.e., “gangs”) to abuse the populace and disabuse themselves of the blame

Their statistical findings (published here and summarized here) show that the appearance of militias is strongly correlated with violations of human rights, particularly when governments want to maximize harm to civilians while minimizing blame for the action of armed groups that are, ostensibly, “free agents.”

So just as a thinking point, what if the Police State recruits local-based gangs (their militias) to fight alongside the police state against an insurgency?  If that becomes the case, who are the likely suspects and quislings in your AO?

Public school takes 11-year-olds to hear Farrakhan call whites ‘crackers,’ call on blacks to ‘tear this GD country up!’

A Maryland public school took students as young as 11 to hear a speech by Nation of Islam leader Louis Farrakhan last month that included calling white people “crackers” and threatening to “tear this goddamn country up!”

Coming after months of national protests over the shooting of Michael Brown in Ferguson, Mo., Farrakhan’s words were – as always – calculated to inflame audience, including about 40 students from Baltimore’s Booker T. Washington Middle School.

A school administrator told EAG News the program was aimed at reaching young people to “help develop them to become our future.”

16 Signs That You’re A Slave To The Matrix

Matrix
We are inundated with signals from early on in life, encouraging each of us to walk a particular path, establishing blinders on us along the way to discourage us from looking for alternatives to what the herd is doing or thinking.

Not meant to be overtly critical of anyone’s lifestyle choices or personal situation, the following 16 signs that you’re a slave to the matrix are meant purely as an observational approach to helping you identify the areas of your life where you may be missing an opportunity to liberate yourself from the self-destructive design for your life of someone else.
