Russian anti-terror drive around Sochi leaves 10 dead

Sochi Olympics under preventive terror guard

Russian special forces are engaged in a relentless offensive to pin down known Islamist terrorists on their home ground or hideouts in Dagestan, Chechnya, Kirgizstan and Kabardino Balkaria, casting a wide safety net around the Winter Olympic Games which opened in Sochi Friday, Feb. 7. DEBKAfile’s counter-terror sources report this safety net has been spread across three European countries.

In the last few days, seven armed jihadis were killed in Russian operations; another three civilians died in terrorist action; and many arrests were carried out, targeting suspected female suicide killers in the Caucasian, as well as in France, Austria and Germany.

Saturday, Feb. 8, Russian special forces stormed a third-floor apartment in Makhachkala, Dagestan on information that a gang was preparing to strike sporting events. Five Islamist fighters were killed resisting arrest and a sixth turned himself in.

A second Russian force surrounded a building in the Dagestan town of Derbent, known as a jihadist stronghold, in which an armed Islamist terrorist suspect was holed up in a ninth floor apartment. He was killed after a woman and three children were allowed to leave.

Flight 93 Factor

christian mercenary

by T.L. Davis

While police departments become more militarized with tanks, armor and drones and federal government bureaucracies arm themselves with billions of rounds of ammunition (including the Post Office), it leaves the average American with a sense of dread.

It can not be for self-defense; no one is attacking them. There is no great crime-wave and where crime is worse; more prolific, the cops don’t seem to go. To be honest, with all of the increased firepower, ammunition and drones at their disposal it is difficult to understand how they have not had any impact on the crime rate at all.

Perhaps it is because these new tactics and powers are not being used to fight crime, but to be prepared to fight us: the American citizen. That is the dread one feels when they see black cars with heavily-armed men in sunglasses roll down the street. It is an image of gut revulsion, because it is so far from the Andy Griffith image of the 1960’s when per capita crime was much higher.

Iranian Navy Commander Vows to Sink U.S. Warships

httpv://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ew5qP2oPdtQ

A top Iranian naval commander threatened to destroy U.S. warships and kill American soldiers just a day after Iranian vessels approached U.S. waters for the first time in history.

“The Americans can sense by all means how their warships will be sunk with 5,000 crews and forces in combat against Iran and how they should find its hulk in the depths of the sea,” Rear Admiral Ali Fadavi, the commander of the elite Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) Navy, was quoted as saying Sunday in the regional press.

Fadavi issued these threats just a day after Iranian war vessels were reported to have approached U.S. maritime borders.

“Iran’s military fleet is approaching the United States’ maritime borders, and this move has a message,” Iranian Admiral Afshin Rezayee Haddad was quoted as saying by the semi-official Fars News Agency.

Here’s What It Looks Like When Your Country’s Economy Collapses

httpv://www.youtube.com/watch?v=na1eDvtjPtc#t=1s

Argentina is a country re-entering crisis territory it knows too well. The country has defaulted on its sovereign debt three times in the past 32 years and looks poised to do so again soon.

Its currency, the peso, devalued by more than 20% in January alone. Inflation is currently running at 25%. Argentina’s budget deficit is exploding, and, based on credit default swap rates, the market is placing an 85% chance of a sovereign default within the next five years.

Want to know what it’s like living through a currency collapse? Argentina is providing us with a real-time window.

Trey Gowdy Demolishes Obama and Obamacare in 5 Minutes!

httpv://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yVEIwmvEe8g

From YouTube:

Obama and Obamacare’s supporters are desperate. They’re now pushing for a 3-year delay in the start of the law in order to get past the next two elections. Remember how Ted Cruz and conservatives only wanted a one-year delay?

Isn’t it odd that last fall Obama was so anxious to start up Obamacare by October 1 that he locked WWII vets out of their own memorial to bully the Senate into opposing the delay? Might he wish he could get a do-over on that decision?

In this5-minute video, Rep. Trey Gowdy (R-SC) demolishes both Obama and the disaster that is his “signature achievement” — Obamacare.

In their latest ploy, Obamacare’s flailing supporters are telling us how loss of a job or lost work hours is actually a GOOD thing. Do they know how absurd they sound?

New moderate Iranian TV airs simulated bombing of Tel Aviv, US aircraft carrier

httpv://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DxpcHl2jj20

If anything, since concluding their nuclear agreement with the U.S., the new moderate Iranians have only grown more bellicose. Clearly they think, as Hitler did after humiliating Neville Chamberlain at Munich, that their foes are weak, spineless, and anxious to appease them. Like Hitler after Munich, they are stepping up their saber-rattling, as well as their actual moves towards war. One wonders if there is a Winston Churchill on the horizon, ready to face them down at the eleventh hour. There certainly seems to be an inexhaustible supply of Neville Chamberlains.

Maybe the VC Were Right …

US Flag Around the Earth
Maybe the Viet Cong were right. Maybe the United States government is imperialist. Isn’t it time to reject the empire and return to the Republic our Founders gave us? Let’s consider the history of American imperialism and the march toward self-destruction.

The world is at the crossroads of the most serious crisis in modern history. The US has embarked on a military adventure, “a long war”, which threatens the future of humanity. This “war without borders” is being carried out at the crossroads of the most serious economic crisis in World history, which has been conducive to the impoverishment of large sectors of the World population.

The Pentagon’s global military design is one of world conquest. The military deployment of US-NATO forces is occurring in several regions of the world simultaneously.

Automated OSINT

Guerrillamerica

by Sam Culper III

In the Open Source Intelligence (OSINT) portion of a course a couple weeks ago, a student told me about a website called If This, Then That (IFTTT).  I signed up for an account, and I’d encourage y’all to do the same.

The first thing I did was create an email alert (using the New York Times) for US House and Senate voting.  So each time they vote, I’ll receive an email alert with the bill name, description, voting lines, and some other information.  Obviously, IFTTT has some REALLY great potential.  You can even receive alerts through SMS text messages.

Now IFTTT won’t crawl the web and send you alerts.  It’s a great productivity tool.  Want to receive a text each time a specific person emails you?  Done.  Want to receive an alert if there’s going to be inclement weather?  Done.

There Is Nothing Moral about Theft

People crowded the downtown Raleigh streets for blocks during Moral March Feb. 8, 2014.

Although no one wants to admit it, it is still true: there are more of them than us. You can label it as “producers” and “looters” or pick another label. The fact is that people are easily misled. The bottom up “revolution” is encouraged by our “government” in order to implement martial law and control. It is ironic that the call for their “fair share” will result in the chains of slavery. As we are seeing with the implementation of Obamacare, the desire to work to earn a future has become the desire to work less in order to get more. From someone else. When “someone else” realizes the futility of working in order to give others the fruits of their labor, the game will be up. Either way, the regime wins. For a while.

The pResident has targeted Raleigh as a stronghold for implementing his agenda. Raleigh is one of the nation’s seven climate change research hubs. This comes right after Obama announced that the Next Generation Power Electronics Institute which will be headquartered on NCSU’s Centennial Campus.

“The challenge of making sure everyone who works hard can get ahead in today’s economy is so important that we can’t wait for Congress to solve it,” Obama told 2,000 people in a speech at N.C. State University. “Where I can act, on my own without Congress, I’m going to do so. And today I’m here to act.”

Obama announced a $140 million consortium of companies and universities, led by NCSU, that will develop the next generation of energy-efficient electronic chips and devices. The effort – and other technology hubs like it expected to be announced soon – helps fulfill a pledge Obama made in his State of the Union address a year ago to develop high-tech jobs.

Raleigh also is a DHS Fusion Center:

Primary fusion centers serve as the focal points within the state and local environment for the receipt, analysis, gathering, and sharing of threat-related information and have additional responsibilities related to the coordination of critical operational capabilities across the statewide fusion process with other recognized fusion centers. Furthermore, primary centers are the highest priority for the allocation of available federal resources, including the deployment of personnel and connectivity with federal data systems.

Raleigh and North Carolina will be a battleground. The pResident knows it. The evil known as Rev. Barber knows it. And North Carolina State University knows it: even if they don’t want to admit that everything has its price. Who do you think is paying to bus in 20,000 people to our Capitol?

David DeGerolamo

Moral March advances variety of issues

Although they represented different ages, races and geographies, all of those who marched Saturday in downtown Raleigh share a single goal. “Everybody wants a change,” said demonstrator Joyce Gresham.

Tens of thousands representing a number of different political and social issues clogged Raleigh’s Wilmington and Fayetteville streets for what planners dubbed the “Moral March.”

“I think a lot of people in this state from all different socio-economic levels are really fed up with the way things are going,” said Jennifer Martin. She came to the march from Watts Street Baptist Church in Durham.
