For YouTube:

“I’m quite sure that the concept of a Government-run reservation… seems to be what the socialists are working for now — to have everyone cared for from cradle to grave…. But you can’t whine and bellyache ’cause somebody else got a break and you didn’t, like those Indians are. We’ll all be on a reservation soon if the socialists keep subsidizing groups like them with our tax money.”- John Wayne

The best job — no job at all

Once upon a time in America, little boys dreamed of being automobile mechanics, plumbers, or electricians and little girls wanted to be secretaries, bookkeepers, or hair dressers. In this era of progressive thinking, unless one has the wherewithal to become a lawyer, doctor, or other professional, the best job of all is… no job at all!

The social welfare system was initially devised to provide a minimal level of well-being and social support for needy citizens. This well-intentioned program has morphed into a well-paying occupation for many Americans. Many people who are physically able to work simply choose not to enter the workforce because there is no motivation to do so — and for a good reason.

The average welfare income in the 10 highest paying states averages $14.31 an hour. This would represent a weekly salary of $572.40 or $29,764.80 per year. An individual with a high school education (or less) and no marketable skill has little hope of commanding a salary of almost $30,000.00 a year. Therefore, there is nothing to motivate an individual to enter the job market and make less money than he can receive for staying home and doing nothing.

There are 12,800,000 Americans drawing welfare. Forty-six million seven hundred thousand (46,700,000) individuals are receiving food stamps. Five million six hundred thousand (5,600,000) individuals are drawing unemployment insurance. 38.8% of all welfare recipients are white; 39.8% are black; 15.7% are Hispanic. American taxpayers contribute a whopping $131.9 billion annually towards various welfare payments — excluding food stamps and unemployment compensation.

Disaster! Embarrassing! Prominent Liberals Turn on Obamacare

httpv://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aTGi1HK3hRE

From YouTube:

Ezra Klein of The Washington Post declared Obamacare a disaster on MSNBC. Former White House Press Secretary Robert Gibbs even said the Obamacare launch was embarrassing. Are liberals turning on President Obama and his signature healthcare legislation?

Valerie Jarrett was ‘architect’ of Obama’s shutdown strategy

A new theory from author Ed Klein — who previously penned “The Amateur,” about President Obama’s White House leadership — suggests that senior adviser Valerie B. Jarrett orchestrated the chief executive’s strategies in the government shutdown.

The New York Post reported that Ms. Jarrett held several late-night sessions with Mr. Obama at his residence and from there came the strategy of “no negotiation,” Mr. Klein believes.

She was the “architect” of that approach, Mr. Klein said. “It was during one of those nightly sessions that Jarrett devised the no-negotiating strategy that Obama has employed in his fight with the GOP over the government  shutdown. She convinced the president that a government shutdown and default offered a great opportunity to demonize the Republicans and help the Democrats win back a majority in the House of Representatives in 2014.”

Three Charts That Everyone Needs to Understand

jones gold 2

If you understand what the following charts signify, you know what to do.

David DeGerolamo

GOLD RESURRECTION FROM FINANCIAL DISASTER

The central bank concept is the Matrix in embodiment, but the Eastern nations led by BRICS and G-20 have a key to unlock the USDollar prison. A quick look at the Australian banking system reveals four global banks who own outsized portions, their reach extending to the largest gold producer in Oz as well. Incest is best. The fast decline in Money Velocity is the most convincing proof of the failure of monetary policy. It does not provide stimulus, but rather capital destruction. The foreign dumping of USTreasury Bonds actually accelerated this past summer, amidst the Taper Talk trial balloon offered by the hapless desperate Bernanke Fed. His legacy will be one of disproving his own PhD Thesis, since liquidity in torrents does not repair insolvency, and no traction comes to soaked ground.

The Coming Food Stamp Riots

Riot Control - Photo by James McCauley

It may not happen this month, or even this year, but food stamp riots are coming to America.  In fact, we got a small preview of the coming food stamp riots this past weekend when a “temporary system failure” caused food stamp cards to stop working in 17 U.S. states.  Within hours, there were “mini-riots” at Wal-Marts and other retailers that rely heavily on food stamp users.  So what would happen if food stamp benefits were cut off or reduced for an extended period of time?  As you will see below, if Congress had not pushed through a “deal”, the USDA would have started cutting off food stamp benefits on November 1st.  Considering the fact that 47 million Americans are on food stamps and more than 100 million Americans are enrolled in at least one welfare program run by the federal government, that could have sparked massive rioting.  So the good news is that the coming food stamp riots will probably not happen in November.  The bad news is that the “deal” in Congress only delays the political fighting until after Christmas.  In just a few months we will be dealing with a potential “government shutdown” and a debt ceiling deadline once again.

Most Americans have no idea what almost just happened.  According to Reuters, the state of North Carolina had already cut off some welfare benefits for the month of November…

North Carolina has become the first state to cut off welfare benefits to poor residents in the wake of the partial federal government shutdown, ordering a halt to processing November applications until a deal is reached to end the federal standstill.

Lock and Load: Are You Prepared for Civil Unrest?

civil-300x213

Do you get the feeling that we are right on the verge of chaos?  With the government shutdown, the congressional budget deadline of the 17th, the EBT system under threat, and assorted “drills” that, if history proves to be any guide, could be a loose cover for an upcoming false flag, we could be looking at civil unrest in a matter of days.

These are all situations that we, as individuals, have little control over.

What we CAN control is our response to a crisis.

By planning ahead, we can avoid the fear, panic, and confusion that leads people to rush to the store and clear the shelves like a horde of hungry locusts.  We can stay away from the angry masses, the rioters who will use any excuse to steal, and the hungry people who are determined to feed their kids no matter who stands in their way.

Whether the next few weeks lead to pandemonium due to the welfare strings being cut or some type of martial law, a prepared mindset, a defense plan, and a well-stocked home can help to keep you and your family out of harm’s way.

A Message from Kay Hagan

Congress Must Stop Manufacturing Crises and Instead Work to Grow Our Economy

This government shutdown was completely unnecessary. Congress should have never gotten to the point where the government was shut down and on the verge of a default crisis, and neither Republicans nor Democrats should attempt to take a victory lap after last night’s vote.

However, I am glad the Senate passed a bipartisan plan to re-open the government and avert a default crisis that would have been disastrous for our economy and our middle class families. I wasn’t elected to shut down the government or play political games, and it’s time for Congress to stop manufacturing crises and get to work on a long-term, bipartisan and balanced plan to get our fiscal house in order, grow our economy and give certainty to families and business owners.

Now that the governemnt has re-opened, my office stands ready to once again provide constituent service to any North Carolinian who needs assistance with a federal agency. Whether you’re a veteran seeking your hard-earned benefits from the the Department of Veterans Affairs, a senior trying to reach the Social Security Administration, or a small business owner applying for a loan from the Small Business Administration, my staff and I are here to help.

You can contact my office and my constituent services staff toll-free at (877) 852-9462, or you can submit a request for help online by clicking here. I am committed to providing first-rate constituent services to all North Carolinians. If you run into bureaucratic red tape, please know that the doors of my office are always open.

Sincerely,

GOP’s McConnell promises no more shutdowns over ObamaCare

Senate Republican Leader Mitch McConnell says he will not allow another government shutdown as part of a strategy to repeal ObamaCare.

McConnell (Ky.) told The Hill in an interview Thursday afternoon that his party learned a painful political lesson over the past 16 days, as its approval rating dropped while the government was shuttered.

He said there’s no reason to go through the political wringer again in January, when the stopgap Congress passed late Wednesday expires.

“One of my favorite old Kentucky sayings is there’s no education in the second kick of a mule. The first kick of a mule was when we shut the government down in the mid 1990s and the second kick was over the last 16 days,” he said. “There is no education in the second kick of a mule. There will not be a government shutdown.

“I think we have fully now acquainted our new members with what a losing strategy that is,” he added.

Progressive Arithmetic …

MSNBC’s Chris Matthews asked Thursday whether members of the Tea Party “count blacks as three-fifths” when they talk about the will of the American people.

Matthews was of course referring to when blacks were only counted as three-fifths of a person when it came to taxation and representation.

No … but we find it necessary to apply other “scaling factors” in our calculations:

Anticipated “liberal” votes cast in any given election = (5/3)*(#RegisteredDemocrats).
