Our fates are inextricably tied together. The people who read this blog and others like it know that they are on the front lines of tyranny. When they come, they will come for those who inspire patriotism, who believe in the Constitution and who spread the word of liberty and the law, because it is all of these things that they, the government officials, find offensive and destructive of their intent to remake America.
There are no champions of the people’s rights in government. Both political parties are guilty of violating those rights. Both are guilty of spending the nation into bankruptcy. The battles in congress that consume so much political thought are meaningless. It is designed to placate the opposition, no matter which side one is on. Each party appeals to one half of America against the other half and when some rights are taken from one, they are lost to both. The people lose every time and half of them feel better for having taken something from the other half.

People are waking up. At least in my experience they seem to be. Yesterday I sat in the cafeteria with three public school teachers. I was reading the Max Velocity book Contact! A Tactical Manual for Post Collapse Survival.
One of the teachers asked what I was reading. I showed her the cover. She asked me if I was a ‘doomsdayer’. I responded that I was not, but that I did believe that TEOTWAWKI is coming. She then immediately asked me to define my terms. I simply pointed out that any student of history and economics can clearly see that what the governments of the world are doing is unsustainable and that the resulting collapse will be quite ugly.
She confirmed that she and her husband see a financial collapse coming, too. Another teacher chimed in and agreed. What followed was a lively conversation on the expected results of the insanity in Washington and other world capitals.
Today at a different school I had the same experience. Reading the same book at lunch caused two more teachers to confirm that they are wide awake. One said that if he’d seen what I was reading five years ago he’d have said I was crazy. But not now. I admitted to him that if I’d even considered reading such a book three years ago I would have agreed with him.
Good. Finally the American people seem to be awakening. A little late, maybe – and they will suffer more pain for their tardiness – but at least they’re finally stirring.
Part of the pain they, and we, will likely have to endure is war. Either war with our own government that both they and we appear to be prepping for, or war with foreign powers. DHS isn’t buying all that ammo and 7,000 select fire ‘personal defense weapons’ to sit and gather dust in a warehouse. They either expect to make war on We the People or they expect a foreign, boots on the ground, invasion.
Think I’m over-reacting? Well, at least I’m in good company. Seems like a lot of our top economic advisers see the same end result.

The ACLU of North Carolina delivered a petition with more than 22,000 signatures to Gov. Pat McCrory yesterday that urges him to support issuing licenses to illegal aliens.
Just because we can give illegal aliens a NC driver’s license, doesn’t mean we should. It is not illegal to deny them one and many states do not.
A NC drivers’ license is a privilege reserved for law abiding NC residents, not a right guaranteed to law breaking illegal aliens.
A NC drivers’ license confers a “quasi” legal status to illegal aliens and is the most critical document needed to register to vote. The rest are easily forged or stolen (ie: birth certificates, social security cards, etc)

On February 26, 2011, I wrote an article called “Do You Think You Are One of the 14 Million?” where I outlined the federal government’s program to buy enough food for 14 million people for 10 days in an emergency situation. My personal speculation was that this food was the foundation of a stockpile for the looters in charge of raping our country and the fruits of our labor. So I have a simple question for the victims of Hurricane Sandy: did you get your fair share of food?
Earlier this month [2011], FEMA (the Federal Emergency Management Agency) put out a Request for Proposal, or RFP, for even more dehydrated food. The RFP called for a 10-day supply of meals – for 14 million people. That’s 420 million meals. Typically, FEMA maintains a stockpile of about 6 million meals. Why the sudden need to increase the stockpile by 420 million more? (And that’s in addition to whatever our aforementioned industry leader is supplying.) It almost seems like they’re trying to stock a modern day “Noah’s Ark,” doesn’t it?
Food, ammunition, energy and communications. Looks like the government has all four of these essentials of freedom under their control. So where are these stockpiles? Or the better question is where are this underground safe havens for the “Obama Elect” when the government collapses? I would be more than willing to post the locations so that we know where they have gone to ground.

Misplaced laws restricting the sale and acquisition are not about deterring crime as government officials would have their citizens believe, but are about ostrasizing and restricting the use of precious metals as a wealth preservation asset.

Legislation recently passed in the State of New York outlaws the AR15 and many other firearms, and will make it illegal for the good and free citizens of New York to own a large selection of legal and safe firearms and magazines. We feel as though the passage of this legislation exceeds the authority granted to the government of New York by its citizens, and violates the Constitution of the United States, ignoring such SCOTUS rulings as District of Columbia v. Heller – 554, U.S. 570 of 2008, McDonald v. Chicago – 561 U.S. 3025 of 2010, and specifically the case of United States v. Miller – 307 U.S. 174 of 1939.
Due the passing of this legislation, Olympic Arms would like to announce that the State of New York, any Law Enforcement Departments, Law Enforcement Officers, First Responders within the State of New York, or any New York State government entity or employee of such an entity – will no longer be served as customers.
Assad’s scorched earth policy concerning the rebel held al-Jarra air base should serve as an example in the United States. Consider the economic depression currently in the United States. Except in Washington, D.C. where an unprecedented boom is occurring. Whether the scorched earth policy is physical or economic, the people still suffer. The next time you go to buy ammunition and find empty shelves (again), just remember that your taxes are being used to buy billions of hollow point bullets.

Hangar at the Syrian al-Jarra airfield
Tuesday night, Feb. 12, he Syrian Air Force began bombing the large al-Jarra air base which rebels led by Islamist battalions conquered near the northern city of Aleppo. Bashar Assad has ordered the destruction of the dozens of fighter-bombers on the ground in the captured base. Most are Czech-made L-29 trainer planes which his air force has been using to pound rebel positions in built-up areas of the cities. But still in hangars are also Sukhoi Su-22M bombers and Mig-23 interceptors which too have been pressed into service for striking rebel-held territory.
The loss of the al-Jarra air base is a major blow for Assad’s forces, depriving them of the ability to hunt down and wipe out rebel forces from the air. Now the remnants of his air force are entrusted with somehow destroying their own planes, which are housed in bomb-proof hangars of the captured air facility.
