Why Are People Buying Firearms and Ammunition?

httpv://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zTzh8uhnlqc

A customer came into our office yesterday and noticed something that was unusual for him: a large table filled with orders of large capacity magazines prior to shipment. He voiced his concern about assault rifles and wanted to know why people were arming themselves. I kept quiet until later when he asked if something was happening to the country. I got up and went to the back of the office and asked him a simple question? If you had one dollar, would you spend ten dollars? He did not understand so I rephrased the question:  if he had one dollar, how much would he spend. His reply was nothing: he would save the dollar.

I then asked him if he knew what our national debt was. He said a few trillion dollars. I showed him reality on usdebtclock.org and explained that his share of the national debt and unfunded liabilities was over $1.2 million. So I asked him what would happen when (not if) the federal government collapses: no more social security checks or EBT cards. He said people would starve. And that is why people are arming themselves for the approaching storm.

A Misallocation of Wealth

Harkin on Sequester: ‘Misallocation of Wealth,’ Not Gov't Spending, Is the Problem

Sen. Harkin believes that our country does not have a spending problem: it has a misallocation of wealth. This misallocation can be rectified by redistributing this wealth into the hands of the government. I can only blame the  people in Iowa for electing this vain and aspiring man to represent them in Washington.

I encourage people to send this excerpt from 1 Timothy 6 to Sen. Harkin’s office:

False Teachers and the Love of Money

These are the things you are to teach and insist on. If anyone teaches otherwise and does not agree to the sound instruction of our Lord Jesus Christ and to godly teaching, they are conceited and understand nothing. They have an unhealthy interest in controversies and quarrels about words that result in envy, strife, malicious talk, evil suspicions and constant friction between people of corrupt mind, who have been robbed of the truth and who think that godliness is a means to financial gain.

But godliness with contentment is great gain. For we brought nothing into the world, and we can take nothing out of it.  But if we have food and clothing, we will be content with that.  Those who want to get rich fall into temptation and a trap and into many foolish and harmful desires that plunge people into ruin and destruction.  For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil. Some people, eager for money, have wandered from the faith and pierced themselves with many griefs.

Harkin: ‘Is It a Spending Problem? No … It’s a Misallocation of Wealth’

Sen. Tom Harkin (D-Iowa) said on Thursday that U.S. government does not have a spending problem, but America suffers from “a misallocation of wealth.”

“I look at it this way,” Harkin said at a Senate Appropriations Committee hearing on the Budget Control Act of 2011 (the law that includes the automatic spending cuts referred to as “sequestration”). “We’re the richest nation in the history of the world.  That kind of begs the question doesn’t it? If we’re so rich, why are we so broke?”

“Is it a spending problem? Harkin said. “No, it’s because we have a misallocation of capital, a misallocation of wealth.”

“All of this wealth that’s been built up by hard-working Americans has been accumulated into fewer and fewer and fewer hands all the time,” Harkin said.

A State Without the Rule of Law

“They [illegal aliens] will be able to come in and get a driver’s license. We will know who they are,” Tata said. “They will have a license. They will have insurance, and it will make our roads safer.”

Tony Tata
NC State Transportation Secretary
appointed by new Republican Governor Pat McCrory

It appears that the concept of a Republic built on a foundation of the rule of law is not a concern under governor Pat McCrory (R) in North Carolina. But we can find solace in pending legislation banning the public exposure of a woman’s breast and restoring the “right” to drop a possum in Brasstown on New Year’s Eve. In the meantime, businesses will be penalized by paying more in unemployment taxes to pay off Gov. Bev’s $2.6 billion tax bill for accepting stimulus money (what a bargain that turned out to be).  And our state gas tax (37.5 cents per gallon) is the highest in the South but I doubt it will go down with any contribution by these newly minted “illegal” drivers.

DMV will issue driver’s licenses to some illegal immigrants

State transportation officials announced Thursday that they will begin issuing driver’s licenses and ID cards March 25 to some immigrants who were brought to the United States illegally as children but qualify under a federal program that blocks deportation and grants work permits.

The Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals program blocks deportation of and grants work permits to immigrants brought to the United States as minors without authorization. Eligible applicants include high school students, high school graduates, those with a GED and those who have served in the military and have no felony convictions or significant misdemeanors.

State Transportation Secretary Tony Tata said the issue comes down to accountability and safety. The decision, he said, balances the rights of lawful citizens and those who have a newly accorded lawful status under the DACA program and wish to become citizens.

Guns And Ammo Production Maxed Out: “This is a Society Preparing For War”

President Barack Obama is, arguably, the best gun salesman ever. Over 65 million guns have been purchased since the President took office in 2009. FBI background check statistics indicate that, over the last twelve months, Americans purchased a new gun every 1.5 seconds, a figure which suggests there is much more to the recent panic buying than people just stocking up to go hunting or sports shooting.

The following guns and ammo industry report indicates that every major gun and ammunition manufacturer in the country is running at 100% capacity, with many so far behind that they’ve stopped taking new orders altogether.

Washington State Bill Would Make Almost All Gun Owners Criminals

(www.examiner.com)  Washington state Sens. Ed Murray (D), Jeanne Kohl-Welles (D) and Adam Kline (D) have introduced new gun control legislation that goes far above and beyond what anyone would consider a simple sales ban.

The bill, S.B. 5737, proposes “banning the sale of assault weapons.” According to the legislation, an “assault weapon” is any semiautomatic pistol, pump-action rifle or shotgun that can accept a detachable magazine, with the capacity to accept more than 10 rounds. Any magazine that accepts over 10 rounds itself will also be banned.

Also included in the definition is any rifle or shotgun with a pistol grip, a stock of any kind, a muzzle brake or muzzle compensator. The bill also prohibits the manufacturing, possessing, purchasing, selling or transferring of an assault weapons “conversion kit.”

In order to continue to possess a so-called assault weapon that was owned before the assumed passing of the legislation, the person must “safely and securely” store the assault weapon and allow the sheriff of the county to, no more than once per year, conduct an inspection to “ensure compliance,” despite some apparent civil liberties implications related to the Fourth Amendment.

Mt Top Patriot said…

I suspect there is another facet to the fear and loathing of Dorner. No matter the cost, no matter the collateral damage, it is far more important he be executed with extreme prejudice rather than be brought in and risk the chance of exposure of all the ugly truths.

Part of the truth, like so many police departments, they are now essentially nothing but little banana military republics, heinous bloodsucking public trough feeding apparatchiks of the local and state oligarchy, mall ninja’s who as long as the fig leaf of legitimacy is hung, have it easy as a country club. Praetorian Guards for the ruling class idiots who think banning people an inanimate object like a rifle that has the same capacity and accuracy as they carry is going to assure a monopoly of violence, hence the power rob with impunity, and to rule over every aspect of the lives of those same people.

It all still, everything, no matter how one slices it, comes down to guns. Especially “Assault Weapons”. The elites are correct, dead nuts right, to call the AR-15 an assault weapon.

If you give it a good think, what is it that the elites and their apparatchiks fear most? Why I think that is very simple. The AR-15, and many other fine military arms in the hands of those not afraid of the ruling tyrants. It is these arms that are going to be used in the assault on them and their crimes of broken trusts, theft, corruptions, treason’s and tyranny.

They know that and understand it only as people who are guilty of such crimes and treason can know.

AN INNOCENT MAN SITS IN JAIL…

AN INNOCENT MAN SITS IN JAIL ON HIS BIRTHDAY! Today is Keith Pantaleon’s 34th birthday but instead of celebrating with people who love him, he is spending what should be his special day at Hudson County Correction Center as I continue to work on raising funds for his bail and legal fees. We’ve raised just enough for his retainer but not nearly enough to get him out. Let’s make our birthday gift our continued support to help him in his time of need as he fights for his freedom. Thank you for your continued support!

Don’t listen to what they say, watch what they do. The ‘state’ and the ‘elite’ are getting ready for something big.

Chris Dorner Was Executed – Fire Set by Police

httpv://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cx4MJhSRun8

I subscribed to StormCloudsGathering based on some of their earlier work. At some point, we have to be able to discern facts from propaganda. Or even more to the point, facts from fear mongering. Distortions and speculation to incite fear and distrust will not serve any useful purpose in regaining our Liberty. If anyone continues to follow the Christopher Dorner story, get the facts and make your own conclusions. Then act accordingly if any actions are necessary.

Euro zone economy falls deeper than expected into recession

The euro zone slipped deeper than expected into recession in the last three months of 2012 after its largest economies, Germany and France, shrank at the end of a wretched year for the region.

It marked the currency bloc’s first full year in which no quarter produced growth, extending back to 1995. For the year as a whole, gross domestic product (GDP) fell by 0.5 percent

Economic output in the 17-country region fell by 0.6 percent in the fourth quarter, EU statistics office Eurostat said on Thursday, following a 0.1 percent output drop in the third.

The quarter-on-quarter drop was the steepest since the first quarter of 2009 and more severe than the average forecast of a 0.4 percent drop in a Reuters poll of 61 economists.

North Korean EMP Red Dawn closer than ever

emp

The bomb test that North Korea conducted over the weekend was a “miniaturized” nuclear device – suggesting to U.S. sources that the day of a North Korean “Red Dawn” EMP attack that could decimate the American power grid might be closer.

The latest test was described by United Nations observers as twice the size of North Korea’s 2009 nuclear test but that the device was “small and light.”

However, it could have been a test for an upcoming nuclear weapon that could be programmed to de-orbit and detonate at a high altitude anywhere from the West to the East coast of the U.S., potentially producing an electromagnetic pulse that could seriously damage or destroy the U.S. electric grid system.

Sen. Burr: CIA Has ‘Flatly Refused’ to Give Intel Committee Some Benghazi-Related Documents

Sen. Richard Burr, a member of the Senate Select Committee on Intelligence, said that the CIA has “flatly refused” to give some Benghazi-related documents to the committee, which is conducting an investigation of the Sept. 11, 2012 terrorist attacks on the State Department and CIA personnel and facilities in Benghazi, Libya.

Sen. Burr made the assertion last week at the confirmation hearing for John Brennan, whom President Barack Obama has nominated to be director of the CIA. Brennan currently serves as the president’s counterterrorism adviser.

“Mr. Brennan, as you know, the committee’s conducting a thorough inquiry into the attacks in Benghazi, Libya,” Sen. Burr said. “In the course of this investigation, the CIA has repeatedly delayed and in some cases flatly refused to provide documents to this committee.”
