Declaration of the Causes and Necessity of Taking up Arms

An excerpt from the Declaration of the Causes and Necessity of Taking up Arms:

Parliament adopted an insidious maneuver calculated to divide us, to establish a perpetual auction of taxations where colony should bid against colony, all of them uninformed what ransom would redeem their lives; and thus to extort from us, at the point of the bayonet, the unknown sums that should be sufficient to gratify, if possible to gratify, ministerial rapacity, with the miserable indulgence left to us of raising, in our own mode, the prescribed tribute. What terms more rigid and humiliating could have been dictated by remorseless victors to conquered enemies? in our circumstances to accept them, would be to deserve them.

Thomas Jefferson and John Dickinson
Declaration of the Causes and Necessity of Taking up Arms
July 6, 1775

Rewritten today as healthcare “taxation”:

All branches of the federal government adopted an insidious maneuver calculated to divide us, to establish a perpetual auction of taxations where people should be forced to provide for entitlements, all of the workers uninformed what ransom would redeem their lives; and thus to extort from us, at the point of the IRS agents’ shotguns, the unknown sums that should be sufficient to gratify, if possible to gratify, ministerial rapacity, with the miserable indulgence left to us of raising, in our own mode, the prescribed tribute. What terms more rigid and humiliating could have been dictated by remorseless victors to conquered enemies? In our circumstances to accept them, would be to deserve them.

Are impending restrictions on the 2nd amendment a means for the government to exact tribute of unknown sums (your fair share) with limited “resistance” for healthcare taxes, payroll taxes, death taxes, social security taxes and capital gains taxes? At what point will people recognized the same conditions as outlined below in 1775 by Thomas Jefferson and John Dickinson?

Logic and Reason vs. Emotion

It’s terribly frustrating to live in America today. Gone are the days when character counted, when honor was esteemed, when truth was venerated. Today we allow the media to play with our consciousness. We have surrendered our free will to the powers that be by allowing them to manipulate our emotions with lies, half-truths, and false flag events. Fear is their key weapon.

It is interesting to note that the powers that be refer to the rest of us as ‘the walking dead’. This because we have surrendered our free will to them and allow ourselves to be herded like sheep or cattle in whatever direction the powers perceive to be in their own best interests. We are nothing but pieces on their game board. They own the board and are masters of the game.

It doesn’t have to be this way. If we will but renounce fear and laugh at our tormentors, their power over us will evaporate like dew off the summer grass. In order to defeat fear, it must be faced. That means we must learn the truth about the things we fear. Remember the monster hiding in your closet when you were a child? All it took to destroy the fear was the courage to open the closet and look inside.

So it is now. All we really need do is set aside the emotion, the preconceived prejudice, the programing we have received from birth and look in the closet. In this case, the monsters allegedly hiding there are terrorists (Islamists, gun owners, returning veterans, Christians, Constitutionalists, Tea Party members, etc.) and child killers.

But when we look in the closet and examine the stories which are presented to us and do so while exercising logic and reason, we find the stories just don’t add up. There are too many discrepancies, too many loose ends, and any attempt to demand answers is labeled conspiracy theory and ridiculed.

When this occurs we must recognize that we are being ‘played’ and ‘herded’. It is then imperative that we awaken from the trance and utilize our free will. We must resurrect ourselves from the ranks of the walking dead to become enlightened individuals with vibrant consciousness and free will. When we do so the monster in the closet will evaporate and along with it our fear. We will then be free to turn the ridicule back on our tormentors.

Paul Craig Roberts posted an excellent commentary today on the power elite agenda versus truth. I highly recommend it …

Agenda Prevails Over Truth

by Paul Craig Roberts

In the Western world truth no longer has any meaning. In its place stands agenda.

Agenda is all important, because it is the way Washington achieves hegemony over the world and the American people. 9/11 was the “new Pearl Harbor” that the neoconservatives declared to be necessary for their planned wars against Muslim countries. For the neoconservatives to go forward with their agenda, it was necessary for Americans to be connected to the agenda.

Failed Syria envoy Brahimi’s mission brings chemical war closer

Victim of Syrian army poison gas attack in Homs

Victim of Syrian army poison gas attack in Homs

The Syrian crisis unbelievably took another turn for the worse Saturday, Dec. 29: After making no headway with Bashar Assad in Damascus, the UN-Arab League envoy Lakhdar Brahimi was told in no uncertain terms by Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov in Moscow: “There is no possibility of persuading Syrian ruler Bashar Assad to leave Syria.” As they spoke, a record 400 people died in hostilities in the country. The burnt remains of hundreds of people slaughtered by the army were discovered in a Homs district. And Syrian opposition leaders have repeatedly preconditioned their acceptance of the Russian invitation to talks on Assad’s prior exit.

This stalemate is compounded by escalation in the use of two extreme weapons of war. Since Dec. 12, the Syrian army has been firing home-made Scud missiles at rebel centers. The US and NATO have responded by stationing six Patriot batteries manned by 1,000 American, German and Dutch servicemen, on the Turkish-Syrian border to protect Turkey from Syrian attack. The inference here is that so long as the Scuds are confined to targets inside Syria, Western intervention will stop at the border.

Then on Dec. 26, The Syrian army, under the command of Iranian officers, began shooting Fateh A-110 high-precision, short-range surface missiles made in Iran. They were sent to Syria at top speed by an Iranian airlift flying over Iraq. Syria in fact manufactures a local version of the Fateh A-110, called M600.  But Tehran decided to deliver the originals to show the world that Assad is not fighting alone and that Iran’s military support for his regime is solid – not just against the uprising, but also against NATO, its missiles and the units which have taken  up position in Turkey.

In effect, both sides to the conflict appear to have resorted to a form of chemical warfare. Western and Middle East military sources report that, last week, Syrian forces loyal to Assad are thought to have used in the Homs battle of Dec. 23 grenades containing a gas that paralyzes lungs and causes extreme infirmity, or even death.

FEDERAL JUDGE DISMISSES SILVER MANIPULATION LAWSUIT AGAINST JP MORGAN

Jamie Dimon

Federal US District Court Judge Robert P. Patterson Jr. has dismissed the class-action litigation suit brought against JP Morgan (and originally HSBC) regarding silver market-rigging.  Judge Patterson cited lack of specifics and claims of bad intent necessary to bring the suit to trial.

Perhaps Judge Patterson never bothered to actually read the litigation, because if he did, (assuming he was not paid off) he would have come to the same conclusions we did when the suit was filed in September of 2011:

The lawsuit completely exposes JPMorgan’s silver manipulation from insiders’ perspectives for ALL TO SEE.
We’re talking your wife streaking on the field during the opening kick-off of the Super Bowl type of exposure.

Que the CFTC announcement that their 4 year silver probe found no evidence of market manipulation in silver.

Full details of Judge Patterson’s dismissal of the suit, as well as the full original suit below:

Government Dependents Outnumber Those With Private Sector Jobs In 11 U.S. States

DeathSpiral

America is rapidly becoming a nation of takers.  An increasing number of Americans expect the government to take care of them from the cradle to the grave, and they expect the government to dig into the pockets of others in order to pay for it all.  This philosophy can be very seductive, but what happens when the number of takers eventually outnumbers the number of producers?  In 11 different U.S. states, the number of government dependents exceeds the number of private sector workers.  This list of states includes some of the biggest states in the country: California, New York, Illinois, Ohio, Maine, Kentucky, South Carolina, Mississippi, Alabama, New Mexico and Hawaii.  It is interesting to note that seven of those states were won by Barack Obama on election night.  InCalifornia, there are 139 “takers” for every 100 private sector workers.  That is crazy!  The American people have become absolutely addicted to government money, and it gets worse with each passing year.  If you can believe it, entitlements accounted for 62 percent of all federal spending in fiscal year 2012.  It would be one thing if we could afford all of this spending, but unfortunately we simply cannot.  We are drowning in debt, and we are stealing more than a hundred million more dollars from future generations with each passing hour.  No bank robber in history can match that kind of theft.

Did the Market Collapse Start?

See additional comments on Tea Party Nation.

The stock market was down 158.20 yesterday (December 28th): the fifth straight day of losses. There are two very important facts concerning the stock market shown below in two charts below from CNNMoney.com. The first chart shows a loss of over 80 points in the last thirty minutes of trading. This time frame at the end of the trading session usually shows a high volume of program trades where the market normally goes up. s1b - Copy

Trying to Inflame the People?

Is the purpose of the latest executive order to unfreeze federal workers’ pay or is it to inflame the people? Is now the time to raise federal payrolls when the debt ceiling is about to be broached again on December 31st? Or is this an attempt to incite civil unrest along with a proposed gun ban, increased taxes, increased health care taxes, increased social security taxes and food inflation (dairy prices to double)?

Obama Orders Pay Raise for Biden, Members of Congress, Federal Workers

President Barack Obama issued an executive order to end the pay freeze on federal employees, in effect giving some federal workers a raise. One federal worker now to receive a pay increase is Vice President Joe Biden.

According to disclosure forms, Biden made a cool $225,521 last year. After the pay increase, he’ll now make $231,900 per year.

Members of Congress, from the House and Senate, also will receive a little bump, as their annual salary will go from $174,000 to 174,900. Leadership in Congress, including the speaker of the House, will likewise get an increase.

Here’s the list of new wages, as attached to President Obama’s executive order:
