New intelligence reveals Iranian military nuclear program advancing faster than previously thought

Western diplomat and Israeli officials who asked not to be named say U.S., Britain, France, Germany and Israel share same intelligence information, agree that assessment.

New intelligence information obtained by Israel and four Western countries indicates that Iran has made greater progress on developing components for its nuclear weapons program than the West had previously realized, according to Western diplomats and Israeli officials who are closely involved in efforts to prevent Iran from building a nuclear bomb.

Voting Against Tyranny

Knowledge will forever govern ignorance; and a people who mean to be their own governors must arm themselves with the power that knowledge gives.
— James Madison

Many, if not most, who vote in a Presidential election consciously realize that both the Democratic and Republican candidates are not worthy of support but they cast their votes under the premise of supporting “the lesser of two evils.”  This is often explained asrealistic since one of the two major political party’s candidates will win the election.  Such “logic” is faulty and injurious to our liberty.  Voters need to vote in light of the obvious truth that no substantial difference exists between Barack Hussein Obama and Willard “Mitt” Romney.  Understanding and applying this simple truth – that no substantial difference exists between the 2 major candidates – is liberating.  Casting a vote for either Obama or Romney will advance tyranny since both candidates are committed statists who despise the Constitution.

The correct practical strategy is to cast a vote for anyone other than Obama or Romney who appears on the ballot.  The establishment will see that a growing number of the electorate refuse to be manipulated by false rhetoric.  If either Obama or Romney “win” with less than 50% of the vote this will be a victory for liberty.  Voting third party will help foster real political change as the voters help the paradigm shift from the phony “Left vs. Right” conflict to the legitimate battle of the State vs. individual liberty.  Well meaning but manipulated voters continue to vote for tyranny based upon a terribly misplaced allegiance to the 2 major political parties. When Patrick Henry wrote, “Give me liberty or give me death” that was not a campaign slogan.  As we continue to witness the treason of the federal government we realize that our ultimate political allegiance must be to the Constitution.

Obama Reelection Insurrection Imminent – Canada Free Press

Sher: Doug, in your recent and extraordinary column “The Planned Re-Election of Obama, Revolutionary Style” you wrote about the coming plans of the Obama syndicate to install Martial Law in order to forcefully thwart and attack the American people, in order to maintain their jobs.  Your source advises that various false flag attempts could be in the works by Obama’s operatives, including perhaps an event to evoke sympathy for Obama that would also serve to foment racial chaos. Would you give us a little background on how your source believes the Obama syndicate might plan to bring this to fruition, perhaps resulting in suspending elections in November?

They hate, and I mean hate the democratic system of government and loathe capitalism

Doug: I’ve been in contact with my source since that column was published and we’ve had more discussions about this. In fact, our last contact was after the shooting at the Sikh Temple in Wisconsin, and I’ve obtained more information about this very issue.

First, it seems that people have an over-simplistic view of how things are being planned by the people who are most influential to Obama, or by those who are in the position to help Obama stay in office. Their playbook is full of asymmetrical tactics, but suitably transparent if one understands what’s at stake.

According to my source, it is the very existence of our country and way of life is at stake. Many people who are currently in positions of power, whether elected or appointed, have the same ideological goals of Barack Hussein Obama. Like Obama, they want to transform the country, and will use every tactic possible to do so. They believe that under Obama, they finally have the perfect opportunity to implement the socialism-to-communism agenda in America. They hate, and I mean hate the democratic system of government and loathe capitalism. They are the “red diaper babies” of the 1960’s who have gained power through the very process they seek to destroy. Continue reading

GRNC Update 8-6-12 Senate Fails To Pass “Cybersecurity” Bill

Last minute effort to insert Magazine Ban dies with bill…

On Thursday, August 2nd, the US Senate failed to gain the 60 votes needed to move forward with S. 3414, otherwise known as the “CyberSecurity Bill”. Particularly important to gun owners was that the bill contained a last ditch effort by anti-gun Senators that would have, in part, effectively banned all magazines with a capacity of more than ten rounds.

Interestingly, while Senator Richard Burr (R-NC) voted just as he indicated he would to kill the measure, North Carolina’s other Senator, Senator Kay Hagan (D-NC) voted for the Bill to move forward, even with the Magazine Ban amendment as part of it. While it’s been frustrating to say the least when trying to pry an actual position on gun rights from Senator Hagan, we need look no further than her voting record to get a clearer picture.

While the “Cybersecurity” Bill that contained the Amendment to limit magazine capacity is now effectively dead, this will not prevent further attempts by anti-gun politicians from inserting similar language into future bills until they get their way. GRNC will remain vigilant for future legislative attempts to limit your rights, but we also need your help.

IMMEDIATE ACTION REQUIRED! Continue reading

Letter Re: Halfway Preppers

What is a halfway prepper? Some people think it is a lazy prepper. Well, if you’re lazy you’re not getting prepped. A halfway prepper is someone who gets things done slowly but isn’t going to let life pass them by. Is prepping worth losing friends (I try to make them see the light), missing date night with the wife, missing out on your favorite sports, living as a recluse? When SHTF things will change but I don’t want to miss those things. We have to continue to live in the world as we prepare for the future. I know I fall in this category with a lot of other people. Sometimes life gets in the way of prepping and we need to take a break. I want to move to the American Redoubt and have a survival group with rehearsed plans and member responsibilities and 30 years worth of food stored up, with an arsenal that would make the Marines proud. But that just isn’t going to happen anytime soon.

Just over three years ago I started prepping for the first time. I keep an eye on what’s going on in the world for my job and I could/can see very bad times ahead. I started my prepping with firearms of course since they are so much fun and it was a great hobby the wife and I could do together. Being the halfway prepper I bought the least expensive firearms I could fine. Some people might say that’s a problem and I should have gotten the best on the market. I feel that I’m not going to be more accurate with a more expensive gun and I couldn’t afford a second for the wife. We try to go shooting at least twice a month to stay proficient. We have gone shooting at night and practice malfunctions and magazine changes. We haven’t done any formal shooting classes but that’s on the “to do” list for this halfway prepper.

Sen. Tom Coburn’s New Book Outlining Our Future

The Debt Bomb: A Bold Plan to Stop Washington from Bankrupting AmericaSenator Tom Coburn creates a chilling “end of the world as we know it” scenario in his recent book The Debt Bomb (Thomas Nelson 2012, 349 pages, indexed). The CIA should take note. Maybe it already has.

I’ll synopsize Senator Coburn’s fictional crisis that begins on August 4, 2014 in Tokyo where a large mutual fund is holding a meeting there along with dozens of private funds and representatives from foreign governments. The mutual fund is a large buyer of U.S. Treasury Bills that fund U.S. debt spending.

The Japanese mutual fund, frustrated that the U.S. has failed to cut spending, fears the Federal Reserve will print more money to inflate itself out of repaying its debts in full to holders of its IOUs (U.S. T-bills). The head of the Japanese mutual fund openly espouses a sell-off of U.S Treasury Bills “before the Americans have a chance to devalue their currency any further.”

Recognizing some of the smartest investors in America had also declined to buy U.S. Treasury bills, the Japanese mutual fund officially votes to sell off its T-bills, which makes the newswires that morning in Asia.

The initial response is calm. But then another large fund in Asia also sells its holding in U.S. T-bills and by that afternoon Singapore releases its holdings as well. By then the European markets open and every major private firm is in a frenzy to unload their T-bills. Japan itself, the second largest holder of U.S debt, unloads its T-bills while China elects to wait it out.

In the dark of night, U.S. officials are awakened to a financial crash of unprecedented proportion. The newly elected Republican President, awakened at his vacation home, emphatically responds: “there will be no bailouts on my watch.”

Americans arise to a day more memorable than the JFK assassination or the 911 terrorist attacks – everything they own has now lost a third of its value compared to other currencies.

DHS Requests Plastic Explosives Then Hides Evidence

By James Smith

With the odd purchases of ammunition by the Department of Homeland Security, I decided to see what else they have purchased. To my surprise a solicitation for a flexible explosive was posted. This explosive is known as Prima Sheet. Prima sheet comes in two styles:

Prima Sheet 1000 is PETN based, and Prima Sheet 2000 is RDX based. Both are water resistant high explosives and this material is available to the US military.

And, according to the manufacturer, Ensign-Bickford Aerospace & Defense Company the materials uses are:

• Breaching
• Military demolition
• Ordnance disposal
• Metal hardening
• Metal forming and welding
• Skin severance charge

With regards to breaching, the information sheets state: Continue reading

Why Europe Matters… And How Spain Could Wipe Out Your 401(k)

Many people have been writing in to ask me, “why are you focusing on Europe so much? Who cares about Spain?”

The short answer is that everyone should care about Spain. Spain could potentially take down the banking system in Europe, which would mean the US facing a Financial Crisis at least on par with 2008.

How would this unfold?

To understand this, you need to understand how the European banking system works. By now everyone knows that many European countries have massive debt problems: Portugal, Italy, Ireland, Greece, and Spain, the infamous PIIGS.

Well, when these countries issue debt, it is mainly the European banks that buy it. So let’s say Spain issues €5 billion in new debt. Most of that will be snatched up by Spanish banks or some other European financial entity.

This bank will then park this debt on its balance sheet as a “senior asset” or an asset that has the least amount of risk (I realize this sounds insane given how bad Spain’s finances are, but this is how the banking system’s “risk models” work).

The bank will then use this Spanish bond to backstop loans to Spanish businesses, developers (not so much any more) even student loans: pretty much every other type of loan the bank might make.

On top of this, the bank will also use this Spanish bond to backstop hundreds of billions of Euros worth of trades.

Do you see the problem with this? If Spain defaults, one of the most important “assets” used to backstop its loan and trade portfolio goes up in smoke. At that point the bank is essentially insolvent and would have to liquidate its loan portfolio while trying to stave off a bank run (as you’ve likely noticed, Spain is facing bank runs galore).

So what? Who cares? This is Spain’s problem right?

How Do You Know When Europe Is Close to Collapse?

Royal Dutch Shell is pulling its cash out of Europe. That is a clear sign that Europe’s lingering demise is close to collapse. The reasons for removing cash due to a “shift in willingness to take risk” is irrelevant: they know that the banks will not be able to bail out the whole of Southern Europe as evidenced by Greece’s latest extension last week. George Soros’ prediction of a collapse of the Euro within 90 days (September 2012) seems to have been prescient (or not if he is pulling the strings). What people do not realize is the close association between European banks and American banks – see MF Global as an example. If Europe collapses, our banks will quickly follow. Although the USD has strengthened against the Euro, I want to point out two facts:

1. The USD’s strength is based on being a “perceived” historical safe haven. The article below did not state where Shell and other European companies are transferring their money.

2. The USD’s value should not be based on another currency which is collapsing.

David DeGerolamo

Shell Pulling Cash Out Of Europe Due To “Shift In Willingness To Take Risk”

The company’s chief financial officer Simon Henry told the newspaper that Shell is cutting back its exposure to European credit risk in the worst-hit economies and putting a higher price on doing business with the region’s peripheral nations.

There’s been a shift in our willingness to take credit risk in Europe. The crisis has impacted our willingness to afford credit,” Henry is quoted as saying.

Henry is cited as saying that the Anglo-Dutch oil major would rather deposit $15 billion of cash in non-European assets, such as U.S. Treasuries and U.S. bank accounts.

The firm is forced to keep some money in Europe to fund its operations, but is keeping the bulk of its reserve liquidity out of the euro zone to avoid growing macroeconomic risk, the report said.

And what Shell is doing, everyone else can’t be far behind – certainly not the head of a Greek bank who decided to pull his money out of Greece and “launder” it via London real estate: just as so many others are doing.

A political row has erupted in Athens after the former head of a big Greek state bank admitted to transferring €8m of personal savings abroad to buy a London property months before his Agricultural Bank headed towards insolvency.

Theodoros Pantalakis, former chief executive of Greece’s Agricultural Bank (ATEbank), strongly denied any wrongdoing, telling Realnews, a Greek website, that he had declared the transaction to authorities in 2011 and had paid tax on the amount transferred.

“I’m on holiday and I don’t plan to say anything more until I come back to Athens,” Mr Pantalakis told the FT from his villa on the Aegean island of Paros. He is expected to testify on his three years at the helm of ATEbank before a parliamentary committee at the end of August, said a person with knowledge of the dispute.

Australia gets ready for war against Asia

Australia gets ready for war against Asia. 47698.jpegEmployees of the Australian Strategic Policy Institute asked the authorities to increase defense spending. They fear the rapid growth of Asian countries, and even though Australia is now friendly with them, it is time to think about defense. What is happening in the world, if one of the most non-conflict countries in the Southern Hemisphere is preparing for war?

Not that long ago, Australian strategists announced the results of the studies of Asian region. Why would they care about Asia it would seem? The experts were afraid of the conclusions they made, and now suggest that the authorities reconsider the policy of financing the armed forces.

The intensive development of the Asian countries will inevitably lead to the emergence of geopolitical problems in whose solution the Australian army will have to participate, analysts say. Rod Lyons, a senior researcher, is confident that the state should allocate to the army at least two percent of GDP – and this is assuming that the relations with Asian countries remain peaceful and neighborly. If the situation is heated, the amount of funding should be increased to 2.5 percent of GDP.

This is quite interesting. Australia, perhaps one of the most peaceful and non-conflict countries in the Southern Hemisphere, is seriously recommended to raise the defense and the strategic power of the state with reference to the political situation in the Asian region. As early as in 2013, the “White Book” will be signed – a response to the recommendation of the analysts that will subsequently be provided to the Australian defense department for review.

Syria Arrests Turkish Army General in Aleppo

TEHRAN (FNA)- The Syrian Army announced that it has recently apprehended a Turkish general who commanded the terrorists trying to seize control of Aleppo.

According to an informed source in Syria, the Turkish general was arrested during the Syrian Army’s clashes with the terrorists in Aleppo.

News reports said that the Turkish general has been taken to Damascus for further interrogations.

Earlier, Turkish media also reported that Syria has detained 40 Turkish military officers in different parts of the country, and said that efforts to release them have failed.

Turkey along with the US, Saudi Arabia and Qatar have been supporting terrorists and rebel groups in Syria and have practically brought a UN peace initiative into failure to bring President Assad’s government into collapse.

Syria has been experiencing unrest since March 2011 with organized attacks by well-armed gangs against Syrian police forces and border guards being reported across the country.

Hundreds of people, including members of the security forces, have been killed, when some protest rallies turned into armed clashes.

The government blames outlaws, saboteurs, and armed terrorist groups for the deaths, stressing that the unrest is being orchestrated from abroad.

In October 2011, calm was eventually restored in the Arab state after President Assad started a reform initiative in the country, but Israel, the US and its Arab allies are seeking hard to bring the country into chaos through any possible means. Tel Aviv, Washington and some Arab capitals have been staging various plots in the hope of increasing unrests in Syria.
