Another Aspect of SOPA and PIPA

Imagine a meeting with Janet Napolitano, Eric Holder and the assistant to the president for Homeland Security and Counterterrorism John Brennan to meet with LEOs to discuss the administration’s plan to prevent violent extremism in the United States. Remember the DHS report targeting rightwing extremists:

Confirmed: The Obama DHS hit job on conservatives is real
By Michelle Malkin  •  April 14, 2009

The “report” (PDF file here) was one of the most embarrassingly shoddy pieces of propaganda I’d ever read out of DHS. I couldn’t believe it was real.

….

By contrast, the piece of crap report issued on April 7 is a sweeping indictment of conservatives. And the intent is clear. As the two spokespeople I talked with on the phone today made clear: They both pinpointed the recent “economic downturn” and the “general state of the economy” for stoking “rightwing extremism.” One of the spokespeople said he was told that the report has been in the works for a year. My b.s. detector went off the chart, and yours will, too, if you read through the entire report — which asserts with no evidence that an unquantified “resurgence in rightwing extremist recruitment and radicalizations activity” is due to home foreclosures, job losses, and…the historical presidential election.

Here are some relevant excerpts to the initial DHS report:

Egan Jones Downgrades Germany From AA To AA-

Sean Egan strikes again, this time downgrading Germany from AA to AA-

Germany maintains its position as the European Union’s top economy. However, Germany has been shouldering the burdens of other EU countries via its exposure to the EFSF and indirectly via the ECB’s hefty exposure to the weaker banks and the weaker sovereign credits. The country’s debt to GDP of 83% as of 2010 (expect near 86% for 2011) and a deficit to GDP of 4.6% is weak (and getting weaker) for a top-tier country. On the positive side, unemployment was only 6.8% but will probably increase as many EU countries implement austerity measures. Other positives were the positive (EUR133B) balance of trade and the positive (EUR193B) current account as of the end of 2010. Inflation has been fairly moderate at 2%, but we expect an increase as a result of the decline in the euro relative to the dollar.

Why Are US Treasuries Being Dumped?

There are three reasons why China and Russia are dumping US Treasuries.

  1. They believe US Treasuries are a bad investment.
  2. They are dumping them before the war starts.
  3. Both reasons 1 and 2.

Based on the results of Tim Geithner’s trip to China last week, our financial credibility is not too high in their viewpoint. I believe China will sit on the sidelines for the first part of the war. Based on the Russian graph, it looks like they are close to achieving their goal. For whatever reasons treasuries are being dumped, you can be sure that the American people will suffer the consequences.

What has really happened to ‘State Rights’…?

State Rights have been at the forefront of the liberty movement for some time now. With Ron Paul’s campaign in 2007/2008 a great awakening has taken place in the hearts and the minds of many of the people. A waking up, if you will, to the blatant fact of lawlessness executed by our governments, and an era of the Rule of Men and their monetary system of slavery, here in America – all the way up and all the way down. I am here to do my very best to explain and inform you of what has happened, a point Dr. Paul has touched upon, but one which the people (those who actually care about freedom, liberty, and unalienable rights) have not grasped; the starting point of the overthrow of law (usurpation), the destruction of State rights, and the downward spiral of our great American institutions.

Most of us who support the rule of law (the fundamental principles of constitutional republics) have come to the realization that we are not being told the whole story, we were and are being taught half truths, and brazen lies about what our governments have and have not done. We have been spoon-fed revisionist history, told to place our hope in men once every two years to restore to us what has been lost, and to ignore the evils of the past because the ‘ends justify the means’. The truth is, my countrymen, comfort and security have reigned supreme in our communities for generations now; we have lost our way and have come to believe that a little freedom is equal to the “Freedom” our forefathers intended for us. If you are reading this you are the exception, truth is what matters most, and the consequences in pursuit of truth are worth the sacrifice: “..our lives, our fortunes, and our sacred honor.

The Lines Are Being Drawn

No government has ever survived after reaching a debt to GDP ratio greater than 90%. The only exception to this rule is war. As we used to be taught in school “War Is Peace”. Most countries in the European Union are over 100% as is the United States and Japan.

Is war coming? Since Israel will not accept a nuclear Iran and Iran will not stop their nuclear program, the answer is obvious. At least this will probably be the main catalyst. The real reasons for war are always financial and/or religious.

Iran’s success at making 20% fissile uranium was the last part of the puzzle. The Obama administration’s complete failure in lining up allies for Iranian sanctions shows only weakness and now appeasement. On the other side, Iran is basking in their successful efforts to increase their allies and their position:

“Turmoil in European still has the potential to trigger a global financial crisis”

World Bank Cuts Global Growth Forecast

The World Bank cut its global growth forecast by the most in three years, saying that a recession in the euro region threatens to exacerbate a slowdown in emerging markets such as India and Mexico.

The world economy will grow 2.5 percent this year, down from a June estimate of 3.6 percent, the Washington-based institution said. The euro area may contract 0.3 percent, compared with a previous estimate of a 1.8 percent gain. The U.S. growth outlook was cut to 2.2 percent from 2.9 percent.

“Even achieving these much weaker outturns is very uncertain,” the World Bank said in its Global Economic Prospects report released today in Asia and yesterday in the U.S. “The downturn in Europe and weaker growth in developing countries raises the risk that the two developments reinforce one another, resulting in an even weaker outcome.”

Geithner Raids Federal Pension Funds – Déjà Vu from Last May

Tim Geithner once again is raiding the federal pension funds since the debt ceiling has been breached. Don’t worry about federal retirees not getting their pension check: the government is required to pay them whether money is in the pension fund or not. In other words, the federal pension fund is just another slush fund and its assets are available to be spent as necessary without any penalties. If an “evil corporation” did this, their officers would be put in prison after a well publicized trial.

Remember last may when Geithner blackmailed Congress using this same trick?

US raids civil service pension fund as it hits $14.3 trillion debt limit

The US has suspended payments into a civil service pension fund to free up almost $150bn as the major debtor nation approaches its legal borrowing limit.

Timothy Geithner, the US Treasury Secretary, announced the move in a letter on Monday to Congressional leaders as he explained that the move extends the government’s breathing space to August 2 to avoid an unprecedented default on its borrowings.

How did that work out for us? Continue reading

A Letter From Jill Biden

Friend —

Michelle’s birthday is today — and I think you’ll agree with me when I say she’s a pretty special woman.

So I hope you’ll take a moment to sign her card before we deliver it. You can even leave a note if you’d like:

http://my.barackobama.com/For-Michelle

After all, everyone loves hearing from friends on their birthday. And the year ahead is going to be a tough one, so I know this card will mean the world to Michelle.

Thanks,

Jill

What Are the Consequences of Beverly Perdue’s Default on Payments to the Federal Government?

Governor Perdue’s attempt to buy votes by paying exorbitant unemployment benefits for two years has now led to a default on payments to the federal government. What are the consequences for North Carolina? The federal government has imposed a penalty on businesses to pay for her fiscal incompetence. Here are some facts concerning our state’s unemployment debt:

Facts Concerning North Carolina’s Unemployment Debt

  • Since the onset of the Great Recession, North Carolina’s Unemployment Insurance (UI) administrators have vastly outspent revenues and generated a debt of $2.6 billion with the federal government—the third-highest in the nation, on a per-capita basis.
  • The state’s debt continues to grow at an annual rate of $178 million and generated its first interest charge of $78 million in September 2011.
  • After three years of delinquency, the state faces a 0.3 percent punitive tax imposed by the federal government on N.C. wage income, starting in January 2012. That tax will step up in additional 0.3 percent increments every year until repayments begin.
  • The state’s UI benefit generosity exceeds that of all four neighboring states and also, on average, the after-tax remuneration of a minimum-wage job. Continue reading

Do You Believe Mitt Romney Will Not Abuse Power Under the NDAA?

httpv://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GuHbMAMMjB4

This question on the NDAA asked at the GOP primary debate in South Carolina should have been addressed by every candidate. It needs to be distributed widely if you feel that the Republican party is the answer to our security and future.

Mitt Romney’s assertion that neither Obama or he will abuse this unConstitutional authority. Really? What part of America’s founding principles allows the central government to become a dictatorship with tyrannical powers?

Choose wisely.

The Key To Seeing What the Future Is

httpv://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UZw0djAhfes

The above video highlights some of what we are facing. Mr. Beck is completely  correct in his assessment of MF Global. Why is Jon Corzine not in custody? Are your life’s savings at risk? What would you do if the banks closed for a bank holiday due to bank runs or the issuance of a new currency?

I understand that most people feel impotent concerning their role in the future of the country. Whether it is apathy, lack of confidence or the belief that our “leaders” will take care of us, most Americans are putting their faith in the 2012 elections. I am putting my faith in God first and then my own actions.
