Newt Gingrich Highlights from the CNN South Carolina Debate

httpv://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uhNv5vLCjGI

Newt Gingrich did well in another debate where once again the real issues facing our future were not discussed. I give Mr. Gingrich credit for what I would consider another victory last night. The highlights here do not represent any type of endorsement but it should serve as an example of what the people expect in a president as far as appearance and confidence. How do I know? Look at the reaction of the audience including several standing ovations.

Credit Suisse Gets a Sweetheart Deal from Bernanke

Even an idiot can understand how bad the Federal Reserve is:

httpv://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pE3oiKuU8UI#!

If we could audit the Federal Reserve, we might know how much money they lost in this bailout. Everyone should watch the end of this movie starting at 9:00 to see who will really be in control of the housing market.

ON BANKS REFUSING CASH WITHDRAWALS – Ann Barnhardt

Ann BarnhardtI have received enough calls and emails on this within the last few weeks to A.) cause concern and B.) merit a post.

People are having difficulty withdrawing cash from banks. I just received the SECOND call on this from California this week. The question is, do banks have the right to deny you cash withdrawals?

The answer is NO. They do not. And both of the men I have heard from in California were obviously being bee-essed by their bank. The bank couldn’t cite statute, and then started haggling over the amount of cash withdrawals they would allow. That’s your dead give-away. If there were ANY statute or actual rule, the bank wouldn’t set up a conference call and then start haggling. You don’t haggle over laws and rules.

What banks can do is ask for up to 7 days notice on a large cash withdrawal just so that they can order the cash in special and not completely drain their cash on hand. This is very logical and sensible. For transactions over $10,000 the bank also does have to file a transaction report. Again, this is standard. We may not like it, but that has been the law for a very long time.

Who Needs A Department of Energy with a President Like Obama

President Obama has single-handedly destroyed our nation’s energy production while increasing funding to Muslim extremists through increased oil profits. The Gulf of Mexico shutdown of oil and gas production coupled with an almost complete shutdown of exploration licenses has resulted in a two fold increase in the price of gasoline in just three years. Obama’s arbitrary excuse to deny the Keystone Pipeline yesterday once again shows us that this president will stop at nothing to destroy any chance of an economic recovery.

Obama’s Keystone Denial Prompts Canada to Look to China Sales

President Barack Obama’s decision yesterday to reject a permit for TransCanada Corp.’s Keystone XL oil pipeline may prompt Canada to turn to China for oil exports.

Will ABC Pick the Republican Presidential Nominee?

ABC News is continuing its open support for the Obama administration. The Democrat Party and president Obama received 88% of all TV executives, writers and reporters in the 2008 election. In 2009, ABC aired a special for Obama and healthcare legislation in prime time. Media support and bias is now accepted by the American people. Today’s news from ABC is threefold:

1. Rick Perry is suspending  his campaign.

2. Newt Gingrich “Lacks Moral Character to Be President”.

3. Mitt Romney “Parks Millions in Cayman Islands”.

Although no one is surprised by ABC’s coverage and “timing”, are they really to blame? After all, Obama openly supports ABC and its subsidiaries like Disney as shown in this story also from ABC today:

President Obama to Unveil New Tourism Strategy

The president will visit Disney World to make the announcement.

America is at a historic crossroads: Continue reading

Japan Will Help Bailout the European Union – Is Anyone Asking How?

Japan is preparing to “lend” money to the International Monetary Fund (IMF) to help bailout the European Union. With want? The full faith and credit of Japan? Japan’s debt to GDP ratio is over 200%. Their economy was in shambles before the tsunami. How is Japan able to fund this debt?

One reason is that Japan owes most of its debt to Japanese families and businesses, who have been willing to plow their savings into government bonds.

When the Japanese people understand that their savings are being used (or more accurately misused) to finance Southern Europe’s fiscal incompetence, the very future of the Japanese government will be in jeopardy. Or are we talking about the United States where the Federal Reserve and the government are using our children’s future instead of our savings to fund the EU bailout?

Why Is Eastman Kodak’s Bankruptcy Important?

The graph below represents the price of Eastman Kodak stock since January 3rd, 2012. The spike to over 80¢ per share occurred on news that the company might be filing for Chapter 11 bankruptcy. The bars indicate the volume of trading.

So why would the price of this stock double on the possibility of bankruptcy? Whatever the reasons, Eastman Kodak has filed for bankruptcy and pre-market trading is now 39¢ a share. There is an important lesson in this news: financial ignorance, greed and manipulation impact the price of stocks. If we apply the same principles to the entire stock market, add the low volume of trading, the hoarding of cash by investors and world economic news, then the stock market should be in a meltdown.

The except below from Zerohedge explains a “melt-up stock market”. Continue reading

Comprehensive Crisis Communications Planning for the Prepper

From SurvivalBlog.com:

In the words of the fictional character Jeff Trasel from the novel “Patriots: A Novel of Survival in the Coming Collapse”: “If you don’t have Com, you don’t have jaaack”. The subject of radio communications as it relates to Prepping is an often misunderstood topic. Understanding radio communications issues can also be confusing, complicated, and daunting for the newcomer. There is a lot to know about the subject, and speaking as one that has spent a good part of his life experimenting with radio communications, it seems that the more I learn about radio communications, the more I learn how much I have to learn! In this article I would like to share much of the information that I have gleaned about radio communications technology and it’s applications. I will attempt to present this article in a way that the reader can glean real world applications, and in a way that it is easy to understand for the novice.

Before delving into any technical issues about radio, one must establish what it is that one wants and needs their communications systems to accomplish. Communications is yet another area where rule 6-P applies; that is, “Proper Prior Planning Prevents Poor Performance“. Proper planning is absolutely crucial to accomplishing your communications related goals. Communications equipment can be somewhat costly, depending on what it is designed to do. The main question one must ask when planning a crisis communications system is, “What is it exactly that I want my crisis communications system to accomplish?” Crisis communications planning must be approached from a system wide mindset and not a compartmentalized mindset. This means you have think of the big picture and you must be cognizant of how all the pieces of your communications plan fit together before you start buying equipment This will allow you to better utilize your limited resources as it relates to what equipment you will buy and how you will use it. It will also prevent significant headaches later on.

Warren Buffett’s “Generous” Contribution to the Treasury

Warren Buffett is “particularly impressed that you took this action before my challenge” concerning Rep. Scott Rigell’s contribution over $49,000 to pay down the national debt. Mr. Buffett matched the amount and this story makes good fodder for the media. Now here is the “but”. Mr. Buffett is in a dispute with the IRS for ten years over what he feels is his fair share.

How much does Mr. Buffett owe in taxes? According to an article on American Thinker, it is considerably more than $49,000:

Robert Romano, senior editor at Americans for Limited Government informs us that Buffett’s total tax bill is more than $1 billion. Pay up or shut up, Warren.
