Axios correspondent Barak Ravid has cited several US and Israeli officials who say Iran’s attack against Israel has started. It is currently almost 11pm in Israel.

“Iran launches attack against Israel using dozens of drones, four U.S. and Israeli officials told me,” Ravid writes. Airspace across Iran, Jordan, and Israel has reportedly been shut in the last hours.

President Joe Biden has reportedly cut short a beach vacation to head back to the White House where he’s meeting with his national security team, monitoring the attacks, as well as Israel’s defense. It’s as yet unclear if Iran has launched ballistic missiles, following the initial drone salvo. Fox News is reporting that the head of US Central Command, Michael Kurilla, has safely departed Israel.

In a bizarre incident, 26 barges broke loose in Pittsburgh and drifted uncontrollably down the Ohio River on Friday night.

Shortly after the barges broke free, Pittsburgh authorities closed the McKees Rocks Bridge and the West End Bridge “out of an abundance of caution.”

Authorities reported that eleven barges were stopped by running into a river bank by Brunot Island, and now tugboats are on the scene pulling the barges out.

Nine were found stopped at the Emsworth Lock and Dam.

Update: better link. The amendment vote was 212 to 212 to require a warrant which failed. Warrants are required by the 4th amendment.

I saw this movie yesterday. I do not want to give away any spoilers so I will just recommend people see it. I will give one piece of information that I do not consider to be a spoiler.

The movie gives no background information on how or why the states seceded. It gives no information on how the war got to its present state where Washington, D.C. is the next target in the war. This lack of background is not explained but makes moviegoers figure out which side is really at fault.

We can make analogies to the movie and real life. I left the movie thinking this is what a modern day French Revolution look like.
