XVII. That the people have a right to bear arms, for the defence of the State; and, as standing armies, in time of peace, are dangerous to liberty, they ought not to be kept up; and that the military should be kept under strict subordination to, and governed by, the civil power.
Our founding fathers recognized the danger to Liberty of standing armies in times of peace. The above section comes from the original North Carolina state constitution that was illegally overthrown by the Federal government after the War of Northern Aggression. The traitors who have usurped our US Constitution have another interpretation of a standing military. They have replaced military leaders with lackeys to support the agenda of endless foreign wars for their personal profit.
Their secondary objective to weaken the military is to destroy our borders for their final step to control the country completely. They have not considered what history has taught us when these conditions exist:

A democracy will continue to exist up until the time that voters discover that they can vote themselves generous gifts from the public treasury. From that moment on, the majority always votes for the candidates who promise the most benefits from the public treasury, with the result that every democracy will finally collapse due to loose fiscal policy, which is always followed by a dictatorship.

The illegal government has created a dependency on their largess funded by taxation of wage slaves and fiat currency printing. If we are not in the bondage phase outlined above, we are about to be “awakened” to our chains in the very near future.
