Biden, Did You Know?

Posted in Editorial | 6 Comments

An Alt Christmas Carol

      The White House, Christmas Eve, 2023. Imagine the painfully lugubrious scene….

     “Joe Biden” rattles around in the upstairs “residence” like a BB in a packing crate. Nobody is around besides a few secret service agents, so still at their posts they might as well be statuary. The Big Guy is all alone. His spouse, Dr. Jill, had enough of pretend caretaking quite a while ago, and flew off to Oprah’s place in Santa Barbara for counseling and commiseration. Hunter is Gawd-knows-where doing Gawd-knows-what.

     “JB” shuffles out of the residence kitchen, where he just demolished a half gallon of Ben & Jerry’s Americone Dream® ice cream, against his doctor’s orders. His gall bladder writhes in revolt, sending a distress signal up the vagus nerve to the shriveled hypothalamus in his brain. A jumbled fugue of emotions — rage, fear, sexual arousal — quickens his step as he navigates by dead reckoning to the executive bedroom where he hurries to bed and falls into leaden slumber — only to be awakened by a cacophony of ringing bells. His eyelids roll open like shades in the windows of a skid row hotel room. Plangent moaning resounds as a mist emerges through the bedroom door and resolves into a mysterious figure garbed in the raiment of the Ku Klux Klan.

      “Joe Biden” shrinks under the luxury Boll & Branch signature duvet— acquired when the agriculture minister of Ukraine slipped him an envelope stuffed with 100 hryvnia notes. The spirit wails something that resembles the old Confederate anthem Eatin’ Goober Peas.

     “Who are you spirit?” the quaking president asks.

Resistance!

I saw a short little post the other day on FaceBook and couldn’t find it again, so I decided to put my own little spin on it.

The State of Our Schools

Southeast Raleigh Magnet High School is reeling from a violent encounter that took place on its campus Monday, resulting in one student’s death and another hospitalized with injuries.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
While this deadly fight occurred in Raleigh, North Carolina, this behaviour is endemic in throughout our city’s schools. Watching this fight, reminded me of one of the main reasons why I left Raleigh. Until a discussion is started concerning race in this country that is based on truth, nothing will change. I know how this sounds but the evidence in this video speaks for itself.
This is supposed a “magnet” school. The young woman speaking in the video has poor vocabulary skills. Here is one selected statement from a student who attended the school:
March 06, 2013
Southeast Raleigh is probably the worst school to go to for high school. We have no structure, it’s total chaos and it’s a disgrace to even claim that I go here. I’m a sophomore. And freshman year I wanted to transfer immediately but I wanted to give it a chance. I did not learn anything as I never do because the teachers can’t even control us. They are weak and can’t teach, it’s amazing how they got hired. I am definitely transferring now.
I know that our children are not being educated; they are being indoctrinated. The reason is to destroy our nation and its workforce. There are simple solutions but this is another problem that has been created by politicians and they want the issue to continue.
As our schools turn into battlegrounds, I look back to when I went to school. There were no police or resource officers. Teachers were never to be questioned and I actually had homework every night. We could ask how we have gotten to this point but we all know. We do not fight for our country, our children or our freedom. Which is right where our “leaders” want us.
Until…
United Nations set to call on Americans to reduce meat consumption
lead United Nations agency overseeing food and agriculture policy is expected to issue a road map in the coming weeks which will call on the West, including America, to dramatically reduce its meat consumption.
The UN’s Food & Agriculture Organization (FAO) will publish its so-called global food systems’ road map during the upcoming COP28 climate summit in Dubai which will kick off on Thursday and extend nearly two weeks until mid-December. FAO’s first-of-its-kind document will recommend nations that “over-consume meat” to limit their consumption as part of a broader effort to reduce greenhouse gas emissions, Bloomberg reported.
“The failure of leading meat and dairy companies to reduce emissions underlines the urgent need for more policy focus on the food and agriculture sector,” Jeremy Coller, the chair and founder of the FAIRR Initiative, an investor network that works with financial institutions to promote climate-friendly agriculture worldwide, said in a recent statement.
