Well, it was a good experiment. It fostered the greatest engine of innovation and advancement in human history. Our poor, by world standards, aren’t poor at all and the average American is ,by world standards, very prosperous. There were troubles to be sure but by the standard of history the former US was the best nation the world has ever seen.

The devil is in the details it is said and rightly so. By allowing such a free and open society we inadvertently allowed Collectivism to get a foothold and fester … spread. Like a cancer it turns productive cells into unproductive malignant foreign bodies bent on changing everything into their kind.

Most Americans desired to just be left alone and in turn left others alone … and this is the Achilles Heel of Individualism. By their nature, Individualists leave people to believe and promote whatever they desire, even if it is pure evil and detrimental to the entire society. Even cancer.

How many times have you heard “I might not agree with what you say but I’ll die to protect your right to say it”? It’s a paradox. Certain men have weakness that makes the idea of Collectivism attractive and by letting those ideas move freely in society we allow cancer to do what cancer does and are loathe to end it because we believe the individual should be free to choose their own pursuits. It is almost a forgone conclusion that this will eventually ruin the body. It is fairly easy to define crimes of action or even omission but thought crimes or belief crimes are the slipperiest of slopes. 

Collectivism by nature does not allow for free thought and does not allow people to have their own ideas nor profess beliefs if they are contrary to the prevailing groupthink. The factions of Collectivism don’t often war with each other or go after each other but tend to always be furthering the spread. They join forces to move the Overton Window regardless of the nuances of their particular brand of Socialism/Communism. The only arguments among them seem to revolve around who is the more progressive, who is pushing the window hardest. In their disagreements there is barely a hiccup in the overall goal of simply not allowing Liberty to survive.

In contrast, Individualists attack the slightest nuances of Individualism among their brothers. Freedom-centric people die on tiny hills to be true to their absolute ideas of what constitutes Liberty. Factions war and fight each other over minutiae which allows the steady march of the collective to gain ground without ceasing. Much more time is spent fighting our own rather than the enemy.

Collectivists cannot leave people alone to pursue what they will unless it furthers Collectivism. You cannot coexist as a free man with this ideology. The nature of it is to assimilate all and not allow dissent. The two ideologies are wholly incompatible. 

When allowed to exist, the ideology of Collectivism always will overtake Individualism. You cannot let a cancer exist in the body with the idea that it has a right to do what cancer does. This of course brings up all manner of questions. What or who is to determine what the clear line of collectivism is? What are the implications of Individualists doing things contrary to the mantra of leaving others alone by rooting out and ending certain beliefs that will hurt the body? The slippery slope is apparent and I would not trade the cancer of Collectivism for the danger of runaway witch hunts but I know that some would.

A paradox.

Where does this leave us? 

The very prosperity we have enjoyed by and large for over two centuries has made it possible for men’s thoughts to wander into the siren song of Socialism. By allowing free and open thought, the good and the evil ideas of men are both given equal chance to flourish but evil, by its nature, never stops or sleeps. It is completely averse to Individualists to destroy other’s own ability to choose their beliefs … even beliefs that will ultimately destroy our body. To stamp out other’s beliefs leads us toward the very Collectivism we hate … but to allow them to exist will ultimately destroy it all.

I don’t have a definitive solution and to my knowledge no one else has one with any chance of success. Anyone who longs for a civil conflict is at best ill informed but an Individualist not willing to fight to prevent slipping into the darkness of Global Communism is a coward. Those hoping to just sit it out neutrally will be chaff. The horrors of such a conflict cannot possibly be fully understood without experiencing them and I ,while willing, am loathe to gain the knowledge of it. Is there a large enough will in those desiring to simply be left alone to bring absolute war to the collective? Don’t answer with simple bravado, genuinely consider that question.

What comes after? There are even odds on the after being worse than the now. This 4th turning does not guarantee an outcome, only the fight itself is promised and not even the size and scope of that fight can be known.

For those who would pray that ’God bless America’, I would ask … why? Why would He bless America? It would appear to me that America and the West have determined to become a modern Babylon. What follows is a simple compilation of Scriptures providing those claiming to be Christians why our Western societies have no right to pray for blessings. It is taken as granted that the reader is aware of how current and recent events support the statements here made. It should also serve as an apologetic for resistance to evil and tyranny for fellow Christians.

Globohomo: One World Order
God decreed nations. He divided mankind by language and gave each nation a place on the earth to dwell.
Genesis 10:5 From these the coastlands of the nations were separated into their lands, every one according to his language, according to their families, into their nations.
Genesis 10:32 These are the families of the sons of Noah, according to their genealogies, by their nations; and out of these the nations were separated on the earth after the flood.
Genesis 11:1–9 Come, let us go down and confuse their language there, so that they will not understand each other’s language.’ So Yahweh scattered them from there over the face of the whole earth, and they stopped building the city. What do we see in America and the Western nations today? Open borders and deliberate attempts to mix nations, cultures, races, and religions. Destruction of national monuments and history. Consolidation of ruling power in a one world government.

Depravity
Abortion: Why would God bless a people who are committing acts He considers abominations and all means of unrighteousness? We murder unborn children and use their body parts in medical experiments.
Lev. 18:21 You shall not give any of your children to offer them to Molech, nor shall you profane the name of your God; I am the Lord.
Exodus 20:13 “You shall not murder (take the life of an innocent)..

Homosexuality: Homosexuality is not only tolerated, but celebrated. Even churches have homosexual clergy and weddings. Anyone speaking out against this abomination is derided as a hater and ‘cancelled’ from society.
Leviticus 18:22 ‘You shall not lie with a male as one lies with a female; it is an abomination.
Leviticus 20:13 ‘If there is a man who lies with a male as those who lie with a woman, both of them have committed a detestable act; they shall surely be put to death. Their bloodguiltiness is upon them.

Greed: Acquisition of wealth/money has become the primary goal of society. Altruism has given way to profit in the health care and medical institutions resulting in much suffering. The Hippocratic Oath has been replaced with a new credo: “There is no money in the cure, only in the treatment.” Fraud and corruption abound in government, industry, and business at every level.
1 Timothy 6:10 For the love of money is a root of all sorts of evil, and some by longing for it have wandered away from the faith, and pierced themselves with many a pang.

Adultery & Fornication: Hollywood abandoned the wholesome programming of the 1950’s and 60’s to showcase and encourage sexual immorality, divorce, abnormal families, race mixing, homosexuality, vulgarity, and profanity of every sort.
Exodus 20:14 “You shall not commit adultery.
1 Corinthians 6:18 Flee immorality. Every other sin that a man commits is outside the body, but the immoral man sins against his own body.
1 Corinthians 7:2 But because of immoralities, let each man have his own wife, and let each woman have her own husband.
Galatians 5:19 Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness,
Jude 1:7 Even as Sodom and Gomorrha, and the cities about them in like manner, giving themselves over to fornication, and going after strange flesh, are set forth for an example, suffering the vengeance of eternal fire.

Divorce: Consider how no fault divorce has negatively impacted the family.
Genesis 2:24 For this cause a man shall leave his father and his mother, and shall cleave to his wife; and they shall become one flesh.
Matthew 5:32 but I say to you that everyone who divorces his wife, except for the cause of unchastity, makes her commit adultery; and whoever marries a divorced woman commits adultery.
Matthew 19:9 “And I say to you, whoever divorces his wife, except for immorality, and marries another woman commits adultery.”
Mark 10:11 And He said to them, “Whoever divorces his wife and marries another woman commits adultery against her;
Mark 10:12 and if she herself divorces her husband and marries another man, she is committing adultery.”
Luke 16:18 “Everyone who divorces his wife and marries another commits adultery; and he who marries one who is divorced from a husband commits adultery.

Transgenderism: While they preach “it’s the science”, they ignore the fact that there are only two genders and force the populations to accept multiple faux genders.

Transhumanism: In a quest for immortality and to become gods …
The Books of Enoch and Jasher, considered by many pre-Canon Christians to be Scripture, hint of animal human hybrids developed by the Watchers before the Flood. Today we see the same thing in labs around the world. In addition, human DNA is being altered by way of ‘vaccines’, and research is ongoing for methods of ‘downloading’ human consciousness into computers.
Book of Enoch 7: 3-6 “… And when men could no longer sustain them, the giants turned against them and devoured mankind. And they began to sin against birds, and beasts, and reptiles, and fish, and to devour one another’s flesh and drink the blood. Then the Earth laid accusation against the lawless ones.”
Book of Jasher 4:18 “After the fallen angels went into the daughters of men, the sons of men taught the mixture of animals of one species with the other, in order to provoke the Lord”

False God: Governments in America and the West have cast God out of their institutions. Prayer is disallowed. Reliance on God is abandoned for reliance on worldly government. Rather than acknowledging that all gifts come from God, we are programmed to believe that government provides.
Exodus 20:3 “You shall have no other gods before Me.

Judgment
One gets what one earns. Cause and effect. What goes around comes around. Karma. Just deserts. This is not rocket science. Failure to follow the wisdom humanity has acquired over all its existence is leading us to destruction. The Creator God abandoned. Bedrock of society, the family, destroyed. National borders all but eliminated. All things true, and beautiful, and good being destroyed.
Isaiah 5:20 Woe to those who call evil good, and good evil; Who substitute darkness for light and light for darkness; Who substitute bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter!
Romans 1:29 being filled with all unrighteousness, wickedness, greed, evil; full of envy, murder, strife, deceit, malice; they are gossips,

Revelation 18:19 “And they threw dust on their heads and were crying out, weeping and mourning, saying, ‘Woe, woe, the great city, in which all who had ships at sea became rich by her wealth, for in one hour she has been laid waste!’ What country has been referred to repeatedly as a shining city on a hill?

The Founders of America knew enough to call on the Providence of God and to recognize a Constitutional Republic can only exist within a moral framework.

Gentlemen

Because We have no Government armed with Power capable of contending with human Passions unbridled by morality and Religion. Avarice, Ambition Revenge or Galantry, would break the strongest Cords of our Constitution as a Whale goes through a Net. Our Constitution was made only for a moral and religious People. It is wholly inadequate to the government of any other.”

Rather than praying for blessings, we should be hitting our knees in repentance. Of course, for those who ignore Biblical teaching and basic acquired human wisdom, just continue on the path you’re treading. See how that works for you. As for Christians …
2 Chronicles 7:14 If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.

Action
Assuming the reader is a Christian, what to do beyond repentance? Most church goers have probably heard many sermons on Romans 13. The primary thrust of those sermons is almost always to bend the knee to government because God put it there. There are portions of the passage that are conveniently ignored in 501c3 churches. They are highlighted below.
Romans 13:1 Let every person be in subjection to the governing authorities. For there is no authority except from God, and those which exist are established by God. 2 Therefore he who resists authority has opposed the ordinance of God; and they who have opposed will receive condemnation upon themselves. 3 For rulers are not a cause of fear for good behavior, but for evil. Do you want to have no fear of authority? Do what is good, and you will have praise from the same; 4 for it is a minister of God to you for good. But if you do what is evil, be afraid; for it does not bear the sword for nothing; for it is a minister of God, an avenger who brings wrath upon the one who practices evil.
And then there is Acts 5:29 But Peter and the apostles answered and said, “We must obey God rather than men.

So, what if government punishes good and rewards evil? What if government condones evil? What if government practices evil? Most pastors dodge the question. The Black Robe’s of America’s founding generation answered it from their pulpits by quoting John Knox. “Resistance to tyranny is obedience to God.” Those who know their Bible know that many characters found there disobeyed the ruling authorities; Moses, Rahab, Daniel, Paul, and Jesus, himself among others.
What form should resistance take? Look to the biblical examples. Daniel and Paul practiced civil disobedience. Moses spoke truth to power. Rahab lied and hid spies. Jesus overturned the tables of the moneychangers and practiced civil disobedience. Is there a place for violence? In addition to Jesus’ example mentioned above, he used a whip of chords against the moneychangers (John 2:14-15) and he endorsed self-defense. Lars Larson offers examples. Then there is Ecclesiastes 3:8 A time to love, and a time to hate; A time for war, and a time for peace. Most Christians would adhere to Just War Doctrine in this instance.

One can argue ‘context’ in an attempt to dodge the plain meaning of Scripture. One can ignore it altogether. One thing that one cannot do is to sit idly by as all that is true, good, and beautiful is being destroyed and then expect to be ‘saved’ by some outside agency. Whether or not to act is up to each of us. In the words of Dietrich Bonhoeffer, “Silence in the face of evil is itself evil: God will not hold us guiltless. Not to speak is to speak. Not to act is to act.”
