“Ready for the pop? Here comes the pop.” The quote above is from a Loveland Police officer – Austin Hopp – said in reference to the sound it made when he dislocated and fractured Karen Garner’s shoulder. Hopp made this comment to two fellow Loveland Police officers while they watched his body camera video together at the police station. They all laughed about it. The comment was made while Karen Garner, who has dementia, remained handcuffed to a bench in a cell just 10 feet away from them, alone, confused and crying in pain. She would ultimately go over six hours without any medical attention. This horrific statement comes to light after Ms. Garner’s family hired a sound engineer to enhance the audio on Loveland Police station booking videos from the day of Karen’s arrest. The video reveals a grotesque culture of callous disregard for the health and safety of citizens. The officers fist-bump one another multiple times in self-congratulation for both the assault on Garner and the intimidation of the citizen who attempted to complain about it. In an April 26, 2021 press release responding to the revelations seen in this video, Ms. Garner’s attorney, Sarah Schielke of The Life & Liberty Law Office states: “This is utterly disgusting. These videos cannot be unseen or unheard. I am sorry to have to share them with the public. This will be traumatic and deeply upsetting for everyone to see. But as it often goes with bad police departments, it seems this is the only way to make them change. They have to be exposed. If I didn’t release this, the Loveland Police’s toxic culture of arrogance and entitlement, along with their abuse of the vulnerable and powerless, would carry on, business as usual. I won’t be a part of that.” “Loveland knew. They’ve known all along,” Schielke continues. “They failed Karen Garner. They failed the community. And they did it all on camera. Do you realize how horrifying that is? That means they were used to getting away with it. That the comfortable norm in Loveland is one of zero accountability. That this is not just some ‘isolated incident.’ It is not just one single ‘problem.’ It is widespread, sociopathic criminality. And to attempt to shift the burden to Karen, or a bystander, or her family, or counsel, to report this? Shame on you, Loveland. You took an oath to protect and serve. This is a disgrace.” Since filing a federal lawsuit against the City of Loveland and three of its officers on April 14, 2021, the Loveland Police Department’s gruesome arrest and abuse of 73-year-old grandmother Karen Garner has horrified the country, making national headlines (New York Times, Washington Post, CBS News, NBC News, CNN, Newsweek, The Guardian, Vice). The 8th Judicial District Attorney’s office, in conjunction with the FBI and Fort Collins Police, has since opened a criminal investigation into the Loveland Police. Meanwhile, the City of Loveland has vowed to protect the “due process” rights of its officers, with Chief Robert Ticer putting one officer on administrative leave (Hopp) and “reassigning” the other two officers (Sergeant Metzler and Officer Jalali) to “administrative duties” (desk duty) until the various investigations are completed. To date, the City has yet to extend any apology to Ms. Garner or her family for the various atrocities witnessed on these videos. The Supreme Court announced Monday that it will decide a core gun rights issue: Whether the Second Amendment requires states to give permits to law-abiding citizens to carry concealed weapons.

The Second Amendment protects “the right to keep and bear arms.” The Supreme Court held in its 2008 landmark decision District of Columbia v. Heller that the Second Amendment guarantees that right for private citizens.  In its 2010 follow-up case McDonald v. City of Chicago the Court held that the right to bear arms applies against state and local governments the same way it does the federal government.

But both of those cases involved a law-abiding citizen who wanted to keep a single handgun in his home for personal protection, which would be the absolute floor of what the Second Amendment could possibly provide. It left all other issues for future cases as to how far the right to keep and bear arms extends.

Perhaps the most heavily debated follow up issue is what a citizen’s Second Amendment rights are when he leaves his home. Given the popularity of concealed carry permits, one of the questions concerns carrying weapons as people go about their daily lives.

The latest comments from the Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas City provide a chilling insight this month into the labor shortage developing at manufacturing firms across Denver, Oklahoma City, and Omaha: 

“Stimulus and increased unemployment money are wrecking the labor pool. Lower-level employees are quitting to make just as much not working.”

So, lower-level employees are making more money collecting stimulus checks and other handouts under the Biden administration. This was very similar when former President Trump dished out helicopter money during the early days of the pandemic. 

What this creates are more bottlenecks for the supply chain as labor becomes scarce. 

“It is very difficult to handle the increased business with supply chain issues across all materials and finding anyone who wants to work. The federal government has incentivized people to stay home and not be productive.”

“Unemployed workers have no incentive to return to work given the COVID bonus payments.”

We do not need another article outlining the obvious. People are not working because they make more by staying home. Which is what the government wants. They want to demoralize the people who still have a work ethic. They want to crash the economy. They want it all.

I talked to three plumbing companies today and they all had one thing in common: defeat. They are worn out, overworked and cannot find any help. They did have another commonality: they knew that the government was the cause.

How do you feel if you are a moral person who will not be bought off to stay at home to destroy the country? How do you feel to see your money redistributed to people who have no issue with stealing our money?

Be assured that the government knows exactly what they are doing to the country: they are stealing our wealth, our country and our future.

Editor’s Comment: Advances in technology are often both fascinating and terrifying.

We see within these the ways in which life can be improved, and history is replete with examples. The convenience of electricity. Life saving medicines. Travel made possible with commercial flight. In big ways, and small ways, life is more comfortably and longer lived in the presence of innovation and invention.

The danger for all of us lies in the use of these very same technologies for dreaded and dark purposes. Evil coexists with good, and its presence cannot be denied. The electricity on which we’ve become so dependent could be taken from us in a cyber attack, or with the sudden strike of an EMP. Modern life-sustaining and life-saving medicines, now produced and traded internationally, might be withheld in an act of economic retaliation, or an act of war. Organs intended for transplantation are said to be harvested in some countries from the condemned, but while these human beings – no matter their alleged crimes – remain living. In acts of terrorism, planes are hijacked and used as weapons against the very cultures and countries that made the celebration of flight possible. We should never forget the horror of September 11^th even as we mark the 20^th anniversary of that terrible day in 2021.

Within this context, we should consider carefully how robotics has changed our world, and will continue to do so. Some of these applications will save life. Others will extinguish it. Without so much as a moment of human hesitation, robots with the capacity to kill will do so on command, and absent any conscience. In the hands of the soulless whose decisions are made with little more than the press of a button, there will be no mercy. Distant to pain and suffering and death, robotics will make too easy the decision of one human being to end the life of another, or perhaps many millions of others.

When I first read about Dr. Fauci’s funding of Sars-Cov gain of function research both in Chapel Hill, NC and Wuhan, I was skeptical of the reasoning. RNA based viruses are well documented for their ability to mutate so their research to make vaccines for wild mutations was not valid for long term scenarios. Assuming this was their true reason (Dr. Fauci and Dr. Shi Zhengli), then their motive was to make money off of the vaccines.

Let’s make the next logic conclusion: they did not care if the vaccine worked or not. As stated before, RNA viruses mutate quickly which is why the yearly Spanish flu vaccine is different from previous years (and mostly ineffective) after more than 100 years. If the vaccine did work, they would be rich. Until the next mutation rendered the vaccine worthless.

So what is our course of action? China and Dr. Fauci should be held accountable but we know that the largest mass murder in the world’s history will go unpunished. Let’s look at what we know:

1. Hydroxycholorquine is a documented treatment for Sars-Cov. Millions of people who died from Sars-Cov-2 would have been cured by this low cost medicine. This would have prevented profits from a vaccine, reduced government control of the people and proved Trump correct early in 2020.
2. The masks people wear have no effect on preventing the spread of the pandemic. The negative impact by wearing dirty masks has been suppressed.
3. Sunshine for vitamin D production and being outdoors in fresh air are good for maintaining a healthy immune system. Lockdowns are counterintuitive to this logic.
4. The government has overestimated the deaths and cases of Sars-Cov-2.
5. The government will not acknowledge the successes of Florida and Texas which opened their economies.
6. Dr. Fauci is still the country’s highest paid employee.
7. Viral mutations will continue. History shows the only effective course of action is to acquire herd immunity.
8. Our government is using this pandemic to collapse the economy by printing money and paying people more to stay at home than to work.
9. The government’s path forward to address this disease is not valid. They are either incompetent, complicit or more likely both.
10. We have no idea what the mRNA vaccine’s purpose really is.

If the vaccine is effective and the number of people who have had the disease and recovered is true, we should already have herd immunity. Until the next mutation.

I have one question for Dr. Fauci: what made you think that you could play God?
