Something to Ponder

Do you ever sit down and contemplate your life? Are you where you want to be? Do you have a plan for the future? Are you happy?

I look at the comments on this site and wonder how many people can even remember when the last time was that they were happy or even smiled? How many comments state:

  1. Nothing will be done
  2. Orange man bad
  3. Musk bad
  4. No one will be held accountable
  5. When will people be hanged

I will admit that my perception of the future has vastly improved since Trump was inaugurated. I am more than surprised at what has been accomplished in two months. I am also realistic: we are not out of the woods. I am still vigilant and preparing for bad times. But I also will not let my life be ruled by pessimism and negativity.

Find like-minded people who are looking for a brighter future and who smile. If you let them drag you down, they win. More importantly, you lose. Have faith and remember our Lord also brings joy. If you are not rejoicing, you might want to reconsider your faith.

Totally agree, you can sometimes tell by the comments who has a relationship with God or just know of him. I enjoy your posting of different topics. Very informative on range of topics. Some get me to dive to deeper researching and others I just shake my head, saying they live among us.
The world is like a battery, positive and negative!

Trump and Musk are good men but nothing is being done to the bad, nor are they being held accountable. When the bad are arrested and held accountable I expect a number to be hanged. Otherwise, I’m very happy and life is good, praise God!

I hear you. But it seems to me that most of the people’s unhappiness you may be refering to here is directed towards specific information posted on the site. With regard to a lot of the things that are going on that are newsworthy posted here, I think it is only appropriate for people to be down because there have been no repercussions for the robbery and criminal theft that has been revealed. The fact of the matter is there have been no arrest. The fact of the matter is there have been no indictments. As far as I know, no one has been held accountable for any of the abject criminal activity that has taken place not only in the last administration, but for the last many years. The fact of the matter is unless they do something to reign in the federal court system nothing is going to change because they are clearly going to continue to enter orders to stop any matter that comes before them against Trump. And if you look back over the long historical track record of the Republicans, you have reason to be pessimistic because they have not only done nothing, they have presented a false opposition to the Democrats for years and years and years and years, They were worthless. They remain worthless. Ultimately, they will do nothing. As of today, they still have not done anything substantive and they control the House & Senate. However, that being said, I think a lot of us are generally happy, normal people. I have a great job. I have a family I love. I like to hunt and fish. I have friends. I sit around and smoke a cigars and enjoy a cocktail or 2 and think about how good I’ve had it. But those are not generally the things that we are discussing in your forum ( which I enjoy). Most normal people are happy even if we come here to vent at current events. Enjoy your site. Enjoy your insights. Keep up the good work and know we happy people are here lurking in the shadows.

I am extremely happy with my life. I spend almost everyday at a Baseball field Coaching my 10u Travel Team. I am surrounded by a group of like minded individuals. I have a Beautiful Wife that puts up with me spending more time with my son than her…. lol.. But it doesn’t mean that I don’t want to see people held accountable. I’m tired of the two-tiered justice system. I’m tired of seeing the Big Club that we aint in get away with things that any normal person would be hanged for. I don’t write much anymore because I’m focusing more on my happiness with my family. I dont avoid the news, but I just cant focus on it anymore like I used to. But accountability is a must. Many good things are happening. I am grateful for them. But without evil being held accountable the dark days are just around the corner. Evil must be fought against and punished. It appears we don’t have the stomach to do the hard things at any level. Accountability is just one word, but its a word that has a lot of meaning!

Amen sir! Happiness comes from within. I can be surrounded by a world of hurt but still be smiling and happy. Doesn’t mean I’m not fixing things, or struggling along with everyone else. Just means I’m not ruled by situations. Sovereignty starts with the mind!

Yep. The very last thing I think about in the morning when I wake up is politics. We are still free men and it’s getting better every day.
As far as prosecutions. Don’t be surprised if it doesn’t start happening half way through his term. And then when it does start happening don’t be surprised to see military style tribunals.

Happy everyday. Not happy with the government. Happy the government and the economy will collapse soon. I’ve been waiting impatiently for too long. The collapse is the only opportunity I see for change. Then we’ll find out who’s who.

It’s fascinating that you posted this today, since we were having that discussion this morning. It started with, yes, abject frustration watching the news -- more specifically, the hearings. So we turned it off and watched some gardening videos. BOOM! Better almost instantaneously.

So, yes, I do contemplate my life. I have also found myself contemplating that there’s not nearly as much ahead of me as there is behind me. That’s kinda tough, because I have things I want to do. This leads to frustration, and indeed, anger, because so much as been stolen from us simply because we believed in the system, and only in the last 5 years or so are we aware of have badly deceived we were. Why didn’t we know it sooner? People told us. People showed us. We didn’t believe it because we didn’t want to. Most people never wake up, at least we did before it was too late (I hope).

I smiled today. I smile everyday. Life is good, I just have to occasionally remind myself of that. I also MUST remind myself that what is OUT THERE is not nearly so important as what is inside myself.

My perception of the future has improved since President Trump was inagurated as well. I will only add this… the struggle isn’t over, and we must be vigilant, while we are also living our lives and attempting to find joy in each day, lest we become complacent and everything that is good that is FINALLY happening is swept away.

You are absolutely right, David. If we allow ourselves to be dragged down, we lose. And that is OUR responsibility. We own that. So we must also own our happiness.

I am quite happy with my life, what is happening with our government has no bearing on my happiness. These things are all temporary in my human condition, I have a good wife and our views and beliefs are very similar, we both accept the Lord Jesus Christ, and thank God Almighty daily.

Trump has done more in the last two months in office than the combined efforts of past so-called ‘conservative’ presidents in the last several decades. What we experienced even with Ronald Regan was pale in comparison with what is transpiring presently--which seems to be a complete defunding and dismantling of leftist funding, organizations with its ‘deep state’ collaborators.

This the real reason why the Communist-Democratic-Party zipper-heads are so up in arms now. This is the real reason for the MSM intense propaganda being spewed now.

This what happens when you constantly libel a man, try to put a man in prison with specious charges and try to impeach a man twice over phony charges. That freak of a Senator, Schumer said that ‘they (meaning the intelligence community) know how to get you seven ways to Sunday’ --well the tables have turned Zipper-head-Schumer and now Uncle Sam’s house is up for a spring (deep) cleaning--and its only started.

My hope is that they, (the Trump administration) are taking their time on these and other matters to get them right so those slimy demonrats won’t be able to wiggle out of prosecution when that time comes.
I’m having a wonderful day too!

Life is wonderful! When will anyone be indicted and tried in a court of law? My answer is NEVER! We thought that when Kash Patel was sworn in that heads would roll but so far the new boss is just like the old boss. The release of the Epstein files was a giant nothing burger. How about justice for those in government who planned and implemented J6th? You don’t even hear a squeak about that anymore. The pipe bomber? Nary a squeak either. Fauci? He is off cooking up the next mega virus. Trump has done some very good things but unless Congress acts it will all be turned over once again. Any new Republicans voted in do their usual sputter and crash routine. The sirens song of big money and power is too great for the spineless Republicans to resist. SCOTUS is in no rush to reign in the rogue federal judges. The list goes on and on!

Sometimes contemplating that if Trump doesn’t settle the score with the corrupt and evil scum in .gov and upper society then we will have to is unpleasant. On the plus side, seeing that there are still good people pushing back the darkness all around gives one hope.

My nature is not to be happy. I am a dour pessimist.
But I do not allow my nature to dictate my being.
I have found that praising God -- In everything give thanks -- and -- Rejoice evermore -- is heap big medicine. That is straight out of the holy word of God.
I have discovered that the more often I praise Him, the more often I give Him thanks, the more often I think upon these things (Philippians 4:8) the more a happy countenance I have.

The Most High God knew this, that we all have this need, and He passed it on to us because of His love. His wisdom is exceeding. Of course, certainly, not to cherry pick a few verses, but His entire word is exceeding worthy of us to read, absorb, become, share.
I am so very thankful that God has revealed to us himself and His word. Truly, they are the same for the word which is holy and surpassed all understanding issues from He which is holy.

Our happiness arises from holiness.

Stockdale Paradox: You must maintain unwavering faith that you can and will prevail in the end, regardless of the difficulties, and at the same time, have the discipline to confront the most brutal facts of your current reality, whatever they might be.
Likewise, I have a bumper sticker -- I love my country, I don’t trust the government.
