Most people do not understand why the founding fathers and the individual states wanted the 2nd Amendment. It was to ensure that a tyrannical government could not coerce the people to do what was not in their best interests. If we did not have the 2nd Amendment, I have no doubt that we would be suffering the same fate as Europe.
