Gun Group Targets Restaurants

Web_BannerLetterhead.jpg

GRNC ‘Safe Restaurants Project’ will admonish gun rights supporters to report restaurants which post against concealed handguns

Recently signed by Governor Pat McCrory, on October 1st House Bill 937 will expand North Carolina’s concealed handgun law into restaurants. Under the statute, restaurants may still elect to post signs prohibiting firearms.

Although concealed handgun permit-holders will still be prohibited from imbibing  alcohol, gun control advocates are already planning to pressure restaurants to prohibit concealed carry.

Accordingly, and with great reluctance, GRNC is responding with its GRNC Safe Restaurants Project,” to ensure the new law will provide its intended deterrent to violent crime.

The 3 objectives of the “GRNC Safe Restaurants Project”:

  1.  Provide education for concealed handgun permit-holders to avoid accidental violations;
  2.  Provide “Protection Preferred” signage enabling supporting restaurants to subtly identify their support to permit-holders and supporters; and
  3. Create a “Restaurant “Don’t Buy List” which:
  • Allows thousands of gun owners to report posted restaurants;
  • Sends restaurants notification they have been reported and requests them to remove signs or inform GRNC that a mistake has been made;
  • Provides contact information for posted restaurants, enabling thousands of supporters to contact those restaurants to explain that they will not patronize posted establishments.

Think your password is secure from the NSA? Try this.

Silent Circle

by Simon Black

Seven minutes.

That’s how long it would take to crack one of the passwords I had been using for more than ten years, according to the crypto experts at Silent Circle.

But a few months ago when I signed up for my Silent Circle account, I was surprised to see the results when I tested one of my passwords against their crypto analysis tool.

It turns out that the password wasn’t so secure after all. You can try it for yourself here:

https://accounts.silentcircle.com/join/

(You don’t have to sign up, you can just type in a password and see for yourself…)

I was never a crypto specialist while in the intelligence business, so I studied the issue for the last few months to find out about the latest password cracking algorithms.

It turns out that most things we think about password security are completely wrong.

BETTY CROCKER GETS ON ‘GAY’-MARRIAGE TRAIN

BettyCrocker

General Mills, widely known for throwing its considerable influence behind same-sex marriage, has now unleashed one of America’s most beloved icons, Betty Crocker, in the effort.

When Minnesota begins allowing homosexual duos to legally exchange marriage vows at midnight Thursday, a few couples will be treated to free wedding cake, compliments of Betty Crocker.

According to the homosexual advocacy organization GLAAD, “Betty Crocker is performing this donation as a part of ‘The Families Project.’”

The organization says that three couples visited the Betty Crocker kitchens in Golden Valley, Minn., to sample wedding cakes on Monday, in a blog post titled “Betty Crocker Toasts Marriage Equality With Wedding Cake Tasting.”

“The company states that it wanted ‘to celebrate with these families and mark this moment in the state’s history’,” says the GLAAD blog.

General Mills hasn’t been shy about promoting homosexual marriage, as WND has reported, including a rainbow-colored Oreo cookie.

The Coming Shortage Of Physical Gold That Will Change Everything

Gold Is the paper gold scam about to be brutally crushed by a crippling shortage of physical gold?  If so, what will that do to global financial markets?  According to the Reserve Bank of India, “the traded amount of ‘paper linked to gold’ exceeds by far the actual supply of physical gold: the volume on the London Bullion Market Association (LBMA) OTC market and the major Futures and Options Exchanges was OVER 92 TIMES that of the underlying Physical Market.”  In other words, there is a massive amount of paper out there, but very little actual physical gold to back it up.  And right now, we are witnessing voracious hoarding of physical gold all over the globe.  This is especially true in Asia.  Just see this article and this article.  All of this hoarding is putting a tremendous amount of pressure on those that have made all of these “paper promises”, because the truth is that there really isn’t all that much physical gold on the planet.  In fact, Warren Buffett once estimated that if all of the gold in the entire world was brought into one place, it could be formed into a cube that would only be 69 feet long by 69 feet high by 69 feet wide.

As the emerging shortage of physical gold becomes increasingly apparent, the massive Ponzi scheme that the bullion banks have been running for decades is going to completely fall apart.  The following is what Egon von Greyerz told King World News the other day…

Governments and central banks have, for decades, leased or sold their gold to the bullion banks.  So they are very likely to own very little of the 23,000 tons that Western central banks are said to hold.

Lies, Deceptions and Bank Runs

See additional comments on Tea Party Nation.

The federal government and the media have deceived the people about the true state of our economy. If, has now been replaced by “when” will the economy collapse. What are the signs that the collapse is imminent? We have to look at the facts and also what is not being reported in order to deceive us.

Here are some facts:

1. The stock market is reaching new highs (not accounting for inflation), in a recession/depression. The stock market can be analyzed by its value and also by its volume. The volume on July 29th, 2013 was only 69.5% of its three month average volume and 29% of its average volume in 2008. Continue reading

GRNC Update 7-29-13 HB 937 Finally Becomes Law!

Update: This becomes law on October 1, 2013

HB 937 Finally Becomes Law!

Governor signs HB 937 just minutes ago…

GRNC has learned that Governor McCrory has just signed HB 937 into law. After a long and sometimes hard fight to push HB 937 through the North Carolina General Assembly (NCGA) and onto the Governor’s desk, victory is finally at hand. More information concerning this issue will follow in future GRNC alerts, but for now we can take a collective breath and celebrate by thanking those who have worked hard to move HB 937 from the House and Senate all the way to the Governor’s desk.

Below, you will see contact information for many of the key legislators involved. Please take a moment to thank them for their hard work and dedication. Above all, GRNC would like to thank all of YOU for your tireless efforts through this process! Without your dedication and steadfast resolve, HB 937 would have been left on the shelf or buried in yet another obscure committee to die a low death. Despite efforts to derail HB 937 at several points in its journey, Grass Roots North Carolina worked hard to claim victory and that victory would not have been possible without YOUR help!

Syrian army and Hizballah capture Homs – opening way to Aleppo and decisive Assad victory

Three months after winning the strategic town of Al Qusayr, the combined Syrian and Hizballah armies have captured the historic Muslim Brotherhood city of Homs, 162 kilometers northeast of the capital Damascus. DEBKAfile’s military and intelligence sources report that Sunday, July 28, jeeps with recoilless guns, pick-up trucks with anti air guns – all loaded with defeated rebel Farouq Brigades fighters were to be seen fleeing the city. As they fled, Syrian and Hizballah army tanks facing no resistance rolled into the center of Homs, the old city and the Khladiyeh district and hoisted images of President Bashar Assad.

The fall of Homs, which the rebels designated from the start of the uprising “capital of the revolution,” opens the way for Syrian-Hizballah forces to move north on Aleppo, Syria’s largest city.

Aleppo’s capture would grant Assad a decisive victory in the civil war and confer on the Lebanese Shiite terrorist Hizballah for the first time the standing of an armed force with strategic capabilities, as well as giving the Iran-Syrian-Hizballah alliance a major boost.
Early Monday, Syrian ground-to-ground missiles were pounding rebel fortifications Aleppo to soften their resistance, while Syrian air force helicopters struck Kurdish PYG units ranged along the Syrian-Turkish border. Although the helicopters flew over the frontier, they did not run into any interference from the Turkish air force, its artillery emplacements or the NATO Patriot anti-missile batteries deployed there.

Detroit Looks to Health Law to Ease Costs

As Detroit enters the federal bankruptcy process, the city is proposing a controversial plan for paring some of the $5.7 billion it owes in retiree health costs: pushing many of those too young to qualify for Medicare out of city-run coverage and into the new insurance markets that will soon be operating under the Obama health care law.

Officials say the plan would be part of a broader effort to save Detroit tens of millions of dollars in health costs each year, a major element in a restructuring package that must be approved by a bankruptcy judge. It is being watched closely by municipal leaders around the nation, many of whom complain of mounting, unsustainable prices for the health care promised to retired city workers.

Similar proposals that could shift public sector retirees into the new insurance markets, called exchanges, are already being planned or contemplated in places like Chicago; Sheboygan County, Wis.; and Stockton, Calif. While large employers that eliminate health benefits for full-time workers can be penalized under the health care law, retirees are a different matter.

Reality (Reposted)

httpv://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cdbRKfXyQEw

I posted this video when it came out two years ago. We still have no federal budget and I doubt that we ever will. What has changed in two years? The size of the national debt. The amount of scandals. The amount of people who have died under this president. Racism, surveillance, healthcare, taxes and arrogance have increased. Well maybe not arrogance since it is hard to be even more arrogant than politicians in DC.

What has decreased? Freedom.
