Dems call for ban on ‘pink stripe’ licenses

Proposed DACA license

Proposed DACA license

House Democrats spoke out Monday in support of a bill prohibiting the state from issuing distinctively marked licenses to young immigrants allowed to be in the U.S. under federal Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals program.

DACA allows a two-year block on deportation for immigrants who were brought to the country illegally as children, who are in or have completed school or are in the military and who have no criminal record.

After DACA was implemented in August, the state Division of Motor Vehicles began issuing licenses to DACA drivers. Shortly after Republican Gov. Pat McCrory took power, licensing was stopped pending an official opinion on the matter from state Attorney General Roy Cooper.

Once Cooper advised that DACA immigrants are legally eligible for licenses, Transportation Secretary Tony Tata announced he would begin issuing them again, but only with a special design that includes a bright pink stripe across the top and with the words “NO LEGAL STATUS” imprinted on them.

House Bill 184 would ban the state from using the special design.

NCFIRE ACTION ALERT: Email to NC Leadership- HB141

NCFIRE

Members of the NC General Assembly need our help. They need help moving HB141- DACA Beneficiaries/Drivers License Moratorium out of committee. Time is critical. The NCDMV will begin reissuing licenses to illegal aliens on March 25th unless they are stopped.

Please send the following message to the 4 individuals listed below. (Don’t forget to send this email to all your friends so they can contact the Leadership as well)

“I urge you to support NC HB141- DACA Beneficiaries/Drivers License Moratorium. This bill is currently sitting in the Committee on Rules, Calendar and Operations of the North Carolina House. Chairman- Representative Tim Moore (R- Cleveland County).

This bill would give the General Assembly the time necessary to study all the ramifications of issuing licenses to DACA eligible illegal aliens in North Carolina.

I feel the decision of the NCDMV, to begin reissuing licenses to DACA eligible individuals on March 25th, was made in haste and below the level of Government necessary to make such a decision.

I strongly urge you to slow this process down by supporting HB141 and give our elected officials time to thoroughly study the effects of granting driving privileges to DACA eligible illegal aliens in North Carolina”.

Day of Disruption! It’s On! – Video

Is this how it starts? People standing up against attempts to remove our rights through unConstitutional laws and regulations? Denver or Albany? It has to break open somewhere at sometime. Additional videos should be coming in as people are still coming.

The people of Colorado vs. the administration’s efforts at a quick victory to push gun control across the entire country.

12 Things That Just Happened That Show The Next Wave Of The Economic Collapse Is Almost Here

12 Things That Just Happened That Show The Next Wave Of The Economic Collapse Is Almost Hereby Michael Snyder

Are we running out of time?  For the last several years, we have been living in a false bubble of hope that has been fueled by massive amounts of debt and bailout money.  This illusion of economic stability has convinced most people that the great economic crisis of 2008 was just an “aberration” and that now things are back to normal.  Unfortunately, that is not the case at all.  The truth is that the financial crash of 2008 was just the first wave of our economic troubles.  We have not even come close to recovering from that wave, and the next wave of the economic collapse is rapidly approaching.  Our economy is like a giant sand castle that has been built on a foundation of debt and toilet paper currency.  As each wave of the crisis hits us, the solutions that our leaders will present to us will involve even more debt and even more money printing.  And each time, those “solutions” will only make our problems even worse.  Right now, events are unfolding in Europe and in the United States that are pushing us toward the next major crisis moment.  I sincerely hope that we have some more time before the next crisis overwhelms us, but as you will see, time is rapidly running out.

The following are 12 things that just happened that show the next wave of the economic collapse is almost here…

#1 According to TrimTab’s CEO Charles Biderman, corporate insider purchases of stock have hit an all-time low, and the ratio of corporate insider selling to corporate insider buying has now reached an astounding 50 to 1….

While retail is being told to buy-buy-buy, Biderman exclaims that “insiders at U.S. companies have bought the least amount of shares in any one month,” and that the ratio of insider selling to buying is now 50-to-1 – a monthly record.

#2 On Friday we learned that personal income in the United States experienced its largest one month decline in 20 years

Personal income decreased by $505.5 billion in January, or 3.6%, compared to December (on a seasonally adjusted and annualized basis). That’s the most dramatic decline since January 1993, according to the Commerce Department.

#3 In a stunning move, Michigan Governor Rick Snyder says that he will appoint an emergency financial manager to take care of Detroit’s financial affairs…

Snyder, 54, took a step he avoided a year ago, empowering an emergency financial manager who can sweep aside union contracts, sell municipal assets, restructure services and reorder finances. He announced the move yesterday at a public meeting in Detroit.

If this does not work, Detroit will almost certainly have to declare bankruptcy.  If that happens, it will be the largest municipal bankruptcy in U.S. history.

U. S. Boosts War Role in Africa

The U.S. is markedly widening its role in the stepped up French-led military campaign against extremists in Mali, providing sensitive intelligence that pinpoints militant targets for attack, U.S. and allied officials disclosed.

U.S. Reaper drones have provided intelligence and targeting information that have led to nearly 60 French airstrikes in the past week alone in a range of mountains the size of Britain, where Western intelligence agencies believe militant leaders are hiding, say French officials.

The operations target top militants, including Mokhtar Belmokhtar, the mastermind of January’s hostage raid on an Algerian natural gas plant that claimed the lives of at least 38 employees, including three Americans. Chad forces said they killed him on Saturday, a day after saying they had killed Abdelhamid Abou Zeid, the commander of al Qaeda in the Islamic Maghreb’s Mali wing.

French, U.S. and Malian officials have not confirmed the deaths of Mr. Belmokhtar or Mr. Zeid, citing a lack of definitive information from the field. But they say the new arrangement with the U.S. has led in recent days to a raised tempo in strikes against al Qaeda-linked groups and their allies some time after the offensive began in January. That is a shift for the U.S., which initially limited intelligence sharing that could pinpoint targets for French strikes.

OBAMA ADMITS, ‘I REALLY HAVE NO IDEA HOW MONEY WORKS’

Turning fear-mongering into comedy may provide some ratings for NBC (which cannot even match the ratings of the  Talking Dead, let alone the Walking Dead), but it did provide some truth. The federal government limps from one crisis to the next with one common feature: impotence. No solutions are provided. No budgets are adopted (or even introduced). There is no accountability for their actions.

So the people in charge can raise their salaries and benefits, not do any work, degrade the country through fear mongering and incompetence, make regular people into criminals, ignore the rule of law and have no consequences? Sounds like tyranny to me.

You Might Be An Idiot If …

Free-Idiot-Test-random-30504314-375-325

… you have been brainwashed to believe that …

—Bush was better than Obama.
—Clinton was better than Bush.
—A lone nut assassinated JFK.
—There is a difference between the Republican and the Democratic parties.
—A bunch of ragtag Muslims that could not fly a Piper Cub hijacked four airliners and crashed them against the Pentagon and the World Trade Center towers.
—World Trade Center Building 7 collapsed on its own footprint as the result of fires.
—The attacks happened because the U.S. intelligence agencies failed to connect the dots.
—U.S. armed forces are all around the globe protecting you from terrorist attacks at home.
—The same guys who are planning to kill 85 percent of us now want to confiscate your guns to prevent you from killing somebody.
—The so-called “free trade” has benefited the U.S. economy.
—Waterboarding is not torture, but an “enhanced interrogation technique.”
—Getting rid of Obama the puppet and bringing another puppet to the White House and things will get better for you.
—Losing liberties is not a high price to pay in exchange for alleged “security.”

Medical ‘Care’ Killing More Than Guns

doctor-via-shutterstock

By the most conservative estimate, researched and published by mainstream medical sources, the US medical system kills 225,000 people each year.

That’s 2.25 MILLION deaths per decade.

You’d think such a mind-boggling fact would rate a relentless series of page-one stories in the press, along with top-story status on the network evening news.

But no. It’s wall-to-wall silence.

The Department of Justice: We Must Reevaluate the Role of Traditional Parents

Donald Verrilli

Brave New World: courtesy of Eric Holder. The pressure to destroy the American family structure has become a primary goal of this administration. What happens when the role of a mother and father joined in Holy Matrimony are redefined by the state? When a government that has become arrogant without constraint, we see the consequences at all levels of our life.

Is this Liberty? Marginalization of the family, which is the cornerstone of our republic’s future, is the last step to confiscating our children and placing them into learning centers. Glenn Beck’s  vision for our children outlined in his book “Agenda 21”   must not come to fruition.

Kerry talks economics, finds Morsi preoccupied with Islamizing Egypt

US Secretary John Kerry meets President Mohamed Morsi in Cairo

US Secretary John Kerry meets President Mohamed Morsi in Cairo

When visiting US Secretary of State John Kerry sat one-on-one with Egyptian President Morsi in Cairo, Sunday, March 3, he talked at length about Egypt’s calamitous economic straits, relations with Israel, democratization and essential reforms. He had hoped to find the Egyptian president amenable to getting to grips with his country’s fast approaching bankruptcy. In the event, Morsi nodded politely but, DEBKAfile’s Middle East sources report, he was far more preoccupied with pushing forward the three-point plan he and the Muslim Brotherhood’s supreme leader Mohammed Badie have begun implementing:

1. The Muslim Brotherhood will not settle for a parliamentary majority in the coming general election – most likely in April or June; it is aiming for 100 percent of the seats.

2. To set the stage for this campaign, the Brothers have installed their loyalists in the governates of Egypt’s 19 provinces. The spreading of Brotherhood values in the national constituency is going full steam ahead across Egypt.

The MB turned to this course when they saw they had no hope of exercising total control over the restive capital and the protest movements springing up regularly in Tahrir Square. So they decided to build up their support in the country at large in the hope of making Cairo an isolated Island in the predominantly Islamist country.

Financial globalization: Retreat or reset?

For three decades, the globalization of finance appeared to be an unstoppable trend: as the world economy became more tightly integrated, new technology and access to new markets propelled cross-border capital flows to unprecedented heights. But the financial crisis brought that era of rapid growth to a halt.

Drawing on our proprietary database of financial assets in 183 countries, Financial globalization: Retreat or reset? continues the McKinsey Global Institute’s ongoing series of reports on global capital markets. More than four and a half years after the financial crisis began, we find that recovery has barely started, despite a rebound in some major equity indexes. Growth in financial assets has stalled, while cross-border capital flows remain more than 60 percent below their 2007 peak. Some of the shifts under way represent a healthy correction of the excesses of the bubble years—but continued retrenchment could damage long-term economic growth.

Among the report’s findings:

  • Global financial assets—or the value of equity-market capitalization, corporate and government bonds, and loans—have grown by just 1.9 percent annually since the crisis, down from average annual growth of 7.9 percent from 1990 to 2007 (Exhibit 1). This slowdown is not confined to deleveraging advanced economies; surprisingly, it also extends to emerging markets.
