NC University Bans Chick-fil-A

Davidson College in North Carolina is banning Chick-fil-A, becoming the first in the nation to do so, The Huffington Post reports.

Students began a protest and collected nearly 500 signatures in an online petition calling for the school to stop serving Chick-fil-A at campus sanctioned events

Davidson doesn’t have a Chick-fil-A on campus but the company’s food was served on campus events occasionally. Some colleges have protested the restaurants being on campus but none has banned the business.

More Seasonally Adjusted Propaganda

The following excerpt outlining the July retail sales increase shows the continuation of propaganda by our “government”. Manipulation of the data for unemployment, Federal Reserve POMO policy propping up the stock markets and retail sales seems to be an effective means to misdirect the people and media. So how can a watchman on the wall warn people under these conditions? And just as important, what happens when people finally have to face reality?

Mystery Of July Retail Sales “Beat” Solved: It Is All In The “Seasonal Adjustment”

The July retail sales beat came as a surprise to many: an 0.8% increase (full series here) at a time when the data was supposed to grow at less than half this would surely be indicative of a potential turnaround in the US economy. Then we decided to do a quick spot check if maybe the Census Bureau had not adopted one of the BLS’ worst habits: fudging seasonal adjustment factors. Continue reading

Syrian rebels armed with first T-62 tanks

Syrian pilot captured by rebels

Syrian pilot captured by rebels

The Syrian rebels’ Western and Arab sponsors have ratcheted up their military assistance by giving them tanks, 20 Russian-made T-62 tanks from Libya,DEBKAfile reports. US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton gave the nod for the transfer to the rebels of their first heavy weapons during her brief visit to Istanbul Saturday, Aug. 13, as the prelude to the next step of the war. Qatar is paying for the tanks.

The Obama administration first agreed to Turkey arming the Free Syrian Army with FIM-92 anti-air Stinger missiles, as DEBKAfile disclosed Aug. 11.

Monday, Aug. 13, for the first time in the 18-month revolt against the Assad regime, rebels shot down a Syrian Air Force fighter jet, a Mig-21, over the northeastern town of Deir al-Zour, using shoulder-carried Stingers. The Syrian government claimed it had crashed because of technical problems, but the rebels quickly released photos of the captured pilot, Col. Rafiq Mohammed Suleiman, surrounded by their guns.

Chinese companies pull out of US stock markets

BEIJING (AP) — Just a few years after Chinese companies lined up to sell shares on Wall Street, a growing number are reversing course and pulling out of U.S. exchanges.

This week, Focus Media Holding Ltd., announced its chairman and private equity firms want to buy back its U.S.-traded shares and take the Shanghai-based advertising company private. The deal would value Focus Media at $3.5 billion, according to financial information firm Dealogic.

Smaller companies also are withdrawing from U.S. exchanges. In a sign of official encouragement, a Chinese business magazine said a state bank has provided $1 billion in loans to help companies with listings abroad move them to domestic exchanges.

The withdrawals follow accusations of improper accounting by some companies and a deadlock between Beijing and Washington over whether U.S. regulators can oversee their China-based auditors.

No Consent: Your child can now be sterilized in Oregon for free

Liberty has requirements. It means that we must be responsible for our actions and make informed decisions. If we do not, apathy and submission to the state will erode our freedom and we will find ourselves reading articles such as the one below. Is the author presenting a real case scenario of the new health care or an extreme interpretation? Is the NDAA the precursor to implementing a police state similar to the Soviet Union? Why do we even have to ask such questions if we are truly “the Land of the Free”? Or “the Home of the Brave”? Why separate them into two parts: because we must be brave to maintain (or regain) our freedom. They are not mutually exclusive and if we do not understand this simple premise, we have lost our freedom and do not deserve Liberty.

When we take freedom for granted, we will find ourselves in the exact situation that our country is now facing. Where are the brave? Where are the people who will bravely stand up and shout “Enough”?

The Most Divisive Campaign in American History

Obama can’t win on the economy. He can’t win on foreign policy. He can’t win on any aspect of his administration. All he can do is stir up violence and then promise to heal the country in his second term while winking to all the representatives of the grievance groups. It’s not a new game, but the Democratic Party has never played it quite this baldly in a national election. And if it succeeds, then national politics will have finally been reduced to the level of a Chicago election. Continue reading

Dylan Ratigan’s Epic Rant on the International Banking Cartel and Political Corruption

httpv://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OlSd9OURbCE

From YouTube:

Not sure as I will have to check but I think I own copyright to this rant from 2003. Dylan must have dug up one of my old videos.

MSNBC’s Dylan Ratigan is mad as hell about the U.S. financial crisis–and he ain’t gonna take it anymore!

While convening a roundtable discussion on the market meltdown on eponymous MSNBC show on Tuesday, Ratigan exploded.

“We’ve got a real problem!” an exasperated Ratigan shouted. “This is a mathematical fact! Tens of trillions of dollars are being extracted from the United States of America. Democrats aren’t doing it, Republicans aren’t doing it. An entire integrated system, financial system, trading system, taxing system, that was created by both parties over a period of two decades is at work on our entire country right now. And we’re sitting here arguing about whether we should do the $4 trillion plan that kicks the can down the road for the president for 2017, or burn the place to the ground, both of which are reckless, irresponsible, and stupid.”

“I’m sorry to lose my temper,” he continued. “But, I tell you what, I’ve been coming on TV for three years doing this, and the fact of the matter is that there’s a refusal on both the Democratic and the Republican side of the aisle to acknowledge the mathematical problem, which is that the United States of America is being extracted.”

Deep Fried Black Swan Lands As China Admits It Has A Food Inflation Problem, Releases Corn, Rice From Reserves

Last week we wrote an article that to many was anathema: namely an explanation why everyone is deluding themselves in their expectation that the PBOC would ease, soft, hard, or just right landing notwithstanding. The reason? The threat that food inflation is about to read its ugly head which is “Why The Fate Of The Global Equity Rally May Rest In The Hands Of Soybeans.” This was merely a continuation of our observations from a month ago that as a result of the Black Swan being “deep fried” in 2012, that the threat of food inflation will keep key BRIC central banks in check for a long time. As of today the threat has become fact, because as China Daily reports “China will release corn and rice from state reserves to help tame inflation and reduce imports as the worst US drought in half a century pushes corn prices to global records, creating fears of a world food crisis…The release may prompt Chinese importers to cancel shipments in the near term and take some pressure off international corn prices, which set a new all-time high on Friday as the US government slashed its estimate of the size of the crop in the world’s top grain exporter.” Sure, as every other short-termist measure the world over, it may help with prices in the short-term, but will merely expose China, and thus everyone, to the threat of a much greater price spike in the future. Because just as the strategic petroleum reserve release did nothing to help gas prices, nor the short selling ban in the US and Europe did anything to help the underlying broken financial system, so this will merely force the local population to scramble and ration whatever food they can get asap, now that the government has admitted there is, indeed, a food inflationary problem.

Sure enough:

Bottom line – rationing is in full force, and given the continually declining state of the US corn crop, more will be needed,” said Christopher Narayanan, head of agricultural commodities research at Societe Generale.

U.S. Too Dependent on Foreign Suppliers in Crises

httpv://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MqLVkbIfU34

From YouTube:

The United States is at risk of being dangerously unprepared for serious emergencies because of the offshoring of critical manufacturing sectors and a reliance on foreign suppliers for products needed in the wake of catastrophic events. According to a groundbreaking report released by the Alliance for American Manufacturing (AAM), the U.S. must revitalize its manufacturing capacity to reduce such vulnerability. The report was co-authored by Tom Ridge, the first secretary of the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, and Robert B. Stephan, a former Assistant Secretary for Homeland Security for Infrastructure Protection.

False Flag of the Day – College Station, TX

Police Using Armor?

First, An Apology – it turns out the report below, from Wichita Falls, TX, was less than accurate.  I passed it on… Mea Culpa.  What I can still say that I have received well over a dozen reports in the past 8 weeks that folks have witnessed armor on America streets and highways.

Many of the reports confirm that these vehicles have been seen “guns up” which has always been a big no-no.  While I was active, operating off military property meant mandatory removal and securing of *ALL* guns and ordinance, unless it was specifically requested and ordered for a parade.  That means no rifles in soldiers’ possession, no machine guns in turrets or  other vehicle mounts, and “no shells , no brass” with any artillery pieces.  This was the DoD policy to maintain a precedent of clear compliance with Posse Comitatus for many, many years.  A change in this policy, if in fact such a change has been made, would have profound and far-reaching implications for the future of our society.
~~~Below is the original article~~~
Cops using armored vehicles for traffic detail?  I reported over a month ago that I saw vehicles similar to US Army Stryker vehicles on I-95 in Virginia, I have heard, but been unable to verify that they are being *given* to local law enforcement by the DOD/DHS.  I expect this topic will be generating a lot of passionate conversation in the coming months, as it represents a serious move towards tyranny if it bears out.
Heather Lewis 12 hours ago via Mobile near Wichita Falls, TX – – Hwy 82 Witchita Falls,TX…WTF? This is a Sheriff in a light armored tank with a gun turret pulling people over for speeding. Flashing red/blue lights and all. I would not have believed it if I hadn’t seen it with my own eyes. We are so screwed! — with Marianne Stebbins, witchita Falls, Freddy Crisp III, Erik Daniel Blair and Pamm Adams Skogen.
Iran can build an N-bomb by Oct. 1. Cairo coup hampers Israeli action
Binyamin Netanyahu and Ehud Barak visit scene of terrorist Sinai attackAt its present rate of enrichment, Iran will have 250 kilograms of 20-percent grade uranium, exactly enough to build its first nuclear bomb, in roughly six weeks, and two-to- four bombs by early 2013, DEBKAfile’s military and intelligence sources report. Hence the leak by an unnamed Israeli security source Sunday, Aug. 12, disclosing Iran’s progress in developing the detonator and fuses for a nuclear warhead which can be fitted onto Shehab-3 ballistic missiles capable of reaching Israel.
Since 20 percent refined uranium is a short jump to weapons grade fuel, Iran will have the capability and materials for building an operational nuclear bomb by approximately October 1.
This knowledge is not news to US President Barack Obama, Saudi King Abdullah, Syrian ruler Bashar Assad, or Israeli Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu – and certainly not to Iran’s Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.  Netanyahu’s comment at the opening of the weekly cabinet meeting Sunday: “All threats against the home front are dwarfed by one – Iran must not be allowed to have nuclear arms!” – was prompted by that deadline.
FULL SENTINEL RULING LINK – ANN BARNHARDT
Background: Sentinel Group used and lost their clients’ segregated assets but a judge has ruled that the bank is not guilty of stealing people’s private property as outlined below. This is the third such theft: MF Global and PFG Best were the other two companies guilty of stealing their clients’ assets. The bottom line is that your assets are being used and lost without your consent. There is not much left to a Republic with allows the theft of personal assets with no consequences. Get your money out of the stock markets now.
A reader with a Westlaw subscription downloaded this and then emailed it to me. Many thanks for that, as it is NOT published on the internet. Until now. Mwah-ha-ha-ha.
This commentary came from the fellow who sent this to me. I think it is spot-on.
Miss Barnhardt,
I thought you might be interested in reading the actual opinion of the In Re Sentinel Group case, which I have attached in PDF. It was very hard to find for some reason, and I had to access my Westlaw account in order to get it. I think it would be well worth your time to read it, as I am afraid that it appears to confirm what you have been saying. Continue reading
GRNC Alert 8-12-12: Pinehurst Bans Guns on Greenway Trails
In Violation of State Law…
The Village of Pinehurst is the latest municipality to violate your right to effective self-defense within NC parks. State law HB 650 that was enacted last December guarantees this right.
Apparently without citizen input, the Village Council has unilaterally approved a measure (Ordinance #12-24) that immediately bans lawfully concealed handguns within virtually all outdoor recreational facilities. The Council failed to specify in their ordinance which areas are subject to bans, and took the additional over-step of including the Village’s greenway trails in clear violation of HB 650. There is evidence that Village staff may have misinformed the Council about state law requirements. Continue reading
Everywhere…Right Now!
All the elements of global disruption are being brought together.  From Egypt to Tatarstan, across Europe and Asia, and in the United States, dissent is being fomented into a caustic brew, etching through the layers of civility and social composure we rely on for the daily operation of civil society.  As with most chemical reactions, the heat produced only increases the volatility of the factions involved, and further accelerates the reaction process…until it conflagrates fully.  Here are just a few tastes of what is currently brewing around the globe –
(Jamestown Foundation) On July 19, a double attack against the official Islamic leadership of Tatarstan took place in the republic’s capital, Kazan. In the space of 15 minutes, the mufti of the republic, Ildus Faizov, and his deputy, Valiullu Yakupov, came under attack in two different locations. Yakupov was gunned down at the entrance of the apartment block where he lived. Faizov’s car was blown up, but the mufti survived as he managed to get out of the car after an initial smaller explosion. However, both of his legs were broken in the incident. Continue reading
