An ill wind blows between US and Israeli intelligence over attack on Iran
The acrimony reached a nadir with an unusually detailed Association Press report on July 28 quoting anonymous sources as stating, “The CIA considers Israel its No. 1 counterintelligence threat in the agency’s New East Division,” – the group that oversees spying across he Middle East.
Prime Minister Binyamin’s Office reviled its content, including allegations of Mossad intrusions of US officials’ homes, as “a lying report.”
This leak had two objectives, says DEBKAfile:
1. To deter US presidential candidate Mitt Romney from using his visit to Israel Sunday and Monday July 29-30 to promise, if elected in November, to review Jonathan Pollard’s life sentence for spying for Israel, which all previous US presidents have refused to do at the CIA’s behest. It has been suggested that he may be considering going on record with this pledge to win Jewish votes.
2. To hit back at the Israel watchers dogging the footsteps of CIA agents planted in a widely-flung undercover network for picking up any clues that Israeli preparations for a unilateral attack on Iran’s nuclear program are moving into operational phase.
Although American and Israeli officials habitually stress the commonalty of the two government’s decisions on Iran – and top US officials are again turning up in Israel every few days – President Barack Obama still can’t be sure that Netanyahu and Defense Minister Ehud Barak won’t take him off-guard by springing an attack at a date earlier than the one under discussion between them.
With only 100 days to go, 2012 election remains up for grabs
With 100 days until the 2012 election, President Obama has a tenuous lead, but the struggling economy hurts his bid for a second term.
Obama leads Mitt Romney by a narrow margin in most national polls, and has a slightly wider lead in most swing states, giving Romney little room for error. But while Obama continues to lead Romney in personal likability — a major asset — there are few signs that Obama’s sustained summer attack on Romney’s business background has changed the contours of the race.
The president, Romney and their allies have spent hundreds of millions of dollars on advertising since the general election campaign officially began, though neither side has been able to move the needle much.
Polls have been remarkably unchanged during that period. Obama leads Romney by slightly more than one percentage point nationally, according to Real Clear Politics’ average of the national polls. That is nearly identical to where the polls had the race three months ago.
In the swing states Obama has continued to hold a slight lead, and there is little hard evidence that the heavy spending by both sides has changed many voters’ minds.
What is the price of economic ignorance?
A recent article by Bill Sardi has raised some interesting points concerning the safety of keeping your savings in a bank. However this quote succinctly from Mr. Sardi’s article puts our economic crisis in perspective:
A major problem is that Americans grew up without significant training in how to handle money. This appears to be planned. Ask any American if they know what fiat money, debt-based money or fractional banking is and they are usually clueless. This makes it easy to fleece the public of their wealth.
We have no one to blame but ourselves for our economic collapse. We must stop blaming our lack of knowledge on a failed educational system or the media. Anyone can advance their knowledge with just a little bit of initiative. However, our nation’s lack of knowledge concerning economic and monetary systems makes it easy for politicians and banks to fleece the sheep. What is the price of ignorance? Economic enslavement to the tune of a minimum of $130 trillion. Each taxpayer in the United States currently has a liability of over $1 million.
What is the difference between economic enslavement and slavery? None. Notice that the liability of over $1 million per taxpayer excludes people who are not paying taxes. Now ask yourself who are your masters if you pay taxes?

The Channel-Stuffed GDP Report
I don’t think there was much in the GDP report that wasn’t expected, except durable goods. The decline in durable goods was comparable to Q2 2011, right down to the primary driver of that weakness – motor vehicles. However, there was no earthquake in Japan this year to disrupt supply chains, production schedules and brand availability. Just like last year, marginal economic growth overall seems to be backfilled with a tide of inventory. The trouble with inventory at the margins of growth is that it is essentially a build-up of forward demand, and therefore susceptible to reversal should overdone production move out of alignment with final demand. Both monetary and fiscal policies actively seek to pull forward demand, meaning this inventory-driven activity conforms to policy goals. This is true in perhaps more ways than expected since the heavy arm of fiscal activism is readily apparent in an important sector of the marginal manufacturing economy.
That brings up a bit of a curiosity since durable goods “sales” of motor vehicles should be largely in sync with durable goods “output” of motor vehicles:
“Sales of MV”, contributions to GDP past 5 quarters -.53 .05 .63 .31 -.29
“Output of MV”, contributions to GDP past 5 quarters .05 .03 .55 .72 .13
That’s a pretty big deviation in the past two quarters. The “sales” figures include the sales of motor vehicle parts, while the output figures do not, but I highly doubt the marginal difference is solely a collapse in parts purchases. It might be a statistical anomaly that gets revised away but it might also explain some of the recent weakness of the regional Fed surveys and the ISM manufacturing survey.

Stop Paying Taxes Now – TL Davis
For a long time now the trend has gone against the Constitution. The latest Supreme Court ruling that proves that as long as it is considered a tax the people can be forced to buy anything. The penalty for not buying shoes, handbags, cars or any other crazy thing they want us to buy to pay off their political friends can be as high as the products themselves so long as it is considered a tax.
The First Amendment has been under fire by hate speech crimes, by the the fact that one supports life over abortion and the laws against protesting certain political figures as long as the Secret Service denies the opportunity.
The Second Amendment has been denied in every important way already.
The Fourth Amendment has been under fire since the passage of the Patriot Act and has been heightened under the Obama Administration who seeks to use drones to surveil every movement of the people and the development of the TSA into an intrusive and invasive police force. 106 independent political organizations (towns and cities) have been given permission to begin flying drones over our heads to keep track of us, to identify organizations pursuing their First Amendment rights to peacefully assemble and petition the government for a redress of grievances.
Israel prepares for battle to secure Syrian chemical weapons
HAIFA, Israel – As Syria’s regime teeters on the brink of collapse, Israeli soldiers and civilians alike are preparing for possible military action to make sure Bashar al-Assad’s chemical weapons don’t fall into the hands of terrorist groups.
Sources close to the Israel Defense Force told FoxNews.com soldiers have been put on standby and are ready to move, while civilian demand for gas masks has jumped 66 percent over the last few weeks from 2,200 to 3,700 per day. The fears center around the prospect of Hezbollah getting Syrian chemical weapons as the Assad regime shows imminent signs of collapse.
“Israel…will not hold back and will respond decisively if this happens,” Israeli Foreign Minister Avigdor Lieberman said.

UN states fail to reach global arms trade treaty
UNITED NATIONS: UN negotiations to draft the first international treaty on the multi-billion-dollar arms trade have ended without a deal, with some diplomats blaming the United States for the deadlock.
UN chief Ban Ki-moon said on Friday he was “disappointed” that member states failed to clinch an agreement after several years of preparatory work and four weeks of negotiations, calling it a “setback.”
But he vowed “steadfast” commitment to obtaining a “robust” arms trade treaty, noting that countries had agreed to pursue negotiations.”There is already considerable common ground and states can build on the hard work that has been done during these negotiations,” he added.Some diplomats said Washington had refused to vote on the proposed text, saying it needed more time before the midnight deadline and was worried about a pushback from the US Congress.Russia and other countries followed suit.”It’s the fault of the United States that we failed,” a Western diplomat said, requesting anonymity to speak freely about the subject.”They derailed the process and we will have to wait for the US presidential elections” in November to get out of the impasse, the diplomat added.But State Department spokeswoman Victoria Nuland said, in a written statement issued late Friday, that the United States supported a second round of negotiations, conducted on the basis of consensus, on the treaty next year.
Nuland noted that while the illicit trafficking in conventional arms was an important national security concern for the United States, Washington did not support a vote at the UN General Assembly on the current text.”While we sought to conclude this month’s negotiations with a treaty, more time is a reasonable request for such a complex and critical issue,” the spokeswoman said. “The current text reflects considerable positive progress, but it needs further review and refinement. “She did not offer any specifics.Conference chairman ambassador Roberto Garcia Moritan of Argentina acknowledged that some countries had objected to the final treaty draft. The UN General Assembly, which begins its new session in late September, will decide whether and when there will be more negotiations.

The corruption of America is complete
The corruption of America is complete. The Congress is corrupt. The Supreme Court is corrupt, and the President is both corrupt and a fraud. How can this be possible? Because the citizenry of this nation, for the most part, is the product of an education system that has brainwashed it students for several decades. These “Blind Sheep” only know how to destroy, or pick apart, any subject or person. They are not capable of logical reasoning. This birth certificate issue is one where logical reasoning would apply.
The case has been made by reasonable persons qualified in the field of document analysis that this document is a composite and a fraud. The press doesn’t listen and then ask questions about the results found, it asks questions and attacks the persons who have presented the creditable evidence. THE GAME IS RIGGED. We have a Republican candidate for President who is aware of this birth certificate issue and is being pummeled in the press to give up more tax returns so that the Democrats can destroy him by nonsense. And yet this coward, Mitt Romney, refuses to attack this fraud of a President on the birth certificate issue.
All this confusion could be ended in one afternoon. President Obama could let Sheriff Arpaio view his real birth certificate in the vault in Hawaii, under the “protective eyes” of the press, so that it could be ascertained that the Internet version of this birth certificate and the one in the vault are one in the same. But this is not going to happen for two reasons: 1. The two versions of this certificate will not match, and 2.This great distraction is a divisional issue between the Patriot’s of America and the Republican, public educated, “Blind Sheep”. It is good sport as we say in England.

Of course Holder and Corzine are in bed together. Of course Edith O’Brien’s attorney is Holder’s best friend. Why are you people shocked at any of this? Further, why do you expect the exposure of this to make any difference? As I said in the Puplava interview, the Republic is dead. This is no longer a nation of laws, it is a nation of men. It does not matter what you do – all that matters is who you know and are in bed with. You can steal a billion-plus dollars – like Corzine, or you can commit mass murder – like Holder himself, and NOTHING will ever happen to you. Do you think the people of the Soviet Union didn’t know that tens of millions of their fellow countrymen were being killed? Of course they knew – many times they witnessed it with their own eyes. It didn’t matter to Lenin or Stalin. Lenin and Stalin WERE THE RULE OF LAW, so therefore there was no way short of a war against them to ever hold them to account for their crimes – and the people of Russia and the other Soviet-controlled lands never waged that war – and so they were raped, pillaged and murdered by the tens of millions by the oligarchy which they permitted by cowering in self-serving fear and refusing to fight it.

US bunker-buster bomb ‘ready to go’
The US Air Force’s massive 30,000lb bunker-buster bomb critical for striking heavily fortified Iranian nuclear facilities is “ready to go”
Michael Donley, the US Air Force Secretary, said that the bomb “if it need to go today”, would be available.
“We continue to do testing on the bomb to refine its capabilities, and that is ongoing,” he said “We also have the capability to go with existing configuration today.”
The endorsement of the Massive Ordnance Penetrator (MOP) – the world’s largest conventional bomb – comes after concerns were raised that the weapon still needed refining if was to be effective against Iran’s deepest installations.
Last February Congress agreed to an “urgent” Pentagon request to divert $81.6m (£52m) into improvements for the 14-ton MOP.
The 20ft long, 1ft wide weapon will be delivered by the B2 stealth bomber, is the critical piece of military hardware that underwrites American assurances to Israel that it will neutralise Iran’s nuclear facilities if diplomacy and sanctions fail.
GRNC Alert – Anti-Gun Senators Propose Magazine Ban
Not Letting the Aurora Crisis Go To Waste
In the wake of the Colorado tragedy, anti-freedom legislators have predictably seized it as an opportunity to punish those who were not responsible – the nation’s law-abiding gun owners.
Using the cybersecurity bill as a vehicle, an amendment (S.A. 2575)banning the sale and possession of magazines and other feeding devices with capacity exceeding 10 rounds has been added, and will be voted on by the Democrat-controlled senate sometime next week.
Sponsors of the magazine ban include Democratic Senators Frank Lautenberg (NJ), Barbara Boxer (CA), Jack Reed (RI), Bob Menendez (NJ), Kirsten Gillibrand (NY), Chuck Schumer (NY) and Dianne Feinstein (CA).
Schumer has characterized the ban as “a reasonable restriction” and “rational”. Co-sponsor Lautenberg is on record stating that high capacity magazines are not necessary for “shooting a duck,” as if the Second Amendment protects bearing arms only for sporting purposes.
These anti-freedom Senators have apparently overlooked the fact that the Second Amendment is a check against government tyranny. It is therefore absurd to suggest it can be “restricted” by the very government it limits. It is time they were taught a civics lesson, and you’re just the people to deliver it.
