This Won’t Be Pretty on Monday Morning

Will this be the last straw to decouple gold from the stock market? Unless some very strong measures are finalized over the weekend, next week’s financial markets may become a bloodbath.

S&P Cuts Credit Ratings for Nine Euro Zone Nations

Standard & Poor’s cut the credit ratings of nine European countries on Friday in a widely-anticipated move. Rumors that the downgrades were imminent had been circulating in various reports throughout the day.

S&P lowered its long-term rating on Cyprus, Italy, Portugal and Spain by two notches, and cut its rating on Austria, France, Malta, Slovakia and Slovenia by one notch.

“Today’s rating actions are primarily driven by our assessment that the policy initiatives that have been taken by European policy makers in recent weeks may be insufficient to fully address ongoing systemic stresses in the euro zone,” S&P said in a press release announcing the downgrade.

Tim Geithner Strikes Out in China

The lines are being drawn between Iran and the United States. Timothy Geithner’s attempt to persuade China to initiate sanctions against Iran have failed. The European Union has postponed any sanctions for six months citing their poor economic conditions which would lead into a recession. On the other side, Mahmoud Ahmadinejad is concluding his successful Latin America tour in Cuba with Fidel Castro.

In regards to VIPR teams

The following response concerning VIPR teams come from a Free man in Pennsylvania:

Now to my response when I find one of these criminal enterprises in action:

1) I have a smart phone with the ability to live feed video to the internet, and it will be rolling and feeding before I come to a stop at said checkpoint.

2) I will knowingly submit to some violations of my G*d-given and unalienable rights in order to be allowed to pass through this checkpoint.

3) Even though I will eventually submit, I will put up a verbal fight and get as close to the line of being arrested as I feel comfortable doing without actually getting arrested.

4) I am breaking no laws for which they can legally arrest me (While Open Carry is legal without a license in Pennsylvania, being inside a vehicle is considered concealed and therefore requires a license in accordance with state law. I have a valid License to Carry Firearms issued in Pennsylvania.)

5) After I am ‘cleared’ to go about my business, I will deliver any non-combatants from my vehicle to a safe location and I will return from a distance… there will be no live video feed of any further actions, but there may be video of one form or another available at a later date.

Quote of the Day

Being elected to a post wherein one pledges fidelity to the Constitution, who, by legal wrangling, eludes that obligation and obfuscates their intent is nothing but a traitor and should suffer the traditional fate of those who chose to defy their sworn oath. I don’t give a rat’s ass how they justify it, they are criminals in government and must be opposed in the most strenuous of terms.

T.L. Davis

All We Ever Wanted

It is as Thomas Jefferson once said: A government big enough to give you everything you want, is big enough to take everything you have.

It is big enough to take everything we have, because it is big enough to take from us the most important aspect of US, it has taken the individuality, the innovation, the creation of the American. It has turned us into nothing other than subjects of a popularly elected government. It has turned its principles on its head and made us into a bunch of government dependent fools. Is this who we are? Is this what makes us run?

There are those of us who would gladly be minutemen of the Second order, who would rally to the cause and put forth our lives to defend what is supposed to be ours by birthright. But, who would support our loss, our sacrifice, or would the rest simply wag their heads and say we did it the wrong way?

John Boehner’s Sellout of the TEA Party

House Speaker John Boehner (C) speaks during a news conference at the Narino Presidential House in Bogota January 11, 2012. REUTERS/John Vizcaino

The quote of the day from one House Republican leader aide:

“I think Boehner will seek a more accommodating approach to get a good percentage of Democrats to vote for it – even if it costs him a lot of House Republican freshmen.”

John Boehner will appease Democrats once again at the expense of the “TEA Party” aligned representatives in order to “spare fellow Republicans a second embarrassing defeat”. Once again we see the ends justifying the means which in this case is to put a Republican in the White House in 2013.

Did we elect representatives to the US House to run a political campaign or the nation? If you are thinking that they should be doing both tasks, I have a question. How’s that working out for us? We have no budget, the freshman representatives that were elected to put us back on a fiscally responsible track are marginalized and John Boehner is submissive to the president.

Mitt Romney vs. Mitt Romney

httpv://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K9njHHyRI7g#!

This video was released on November 27th, 2011 and promotes the following website: mittvmitt.com. The fine print at the bottom of their information page shows that this site is paid for by the Democratic National Committee. I don’t think they got their money’s worth from this effort based on the results of the first caucus and primary.

David DeGerolamo

Mitt Romney, unparalleled flip-flopper, has proved he is his own toughest opponent on the issues. The one thing Mitt and Mitt can agree on? That they want to be president—so Romney will say and do whatever it takes to get elected, no matter how contradictory.

“Experts are predicting kind of a tough fight between Romney and his biggest ideological opponent: Mitt Romney from four years ago. Those guys don’t agree on anything.”

Executive Order 12333 Controversy

It appears that my article concerning Executive Order 12333 has generated some controversy. Here is the section of EO 12333 that was in question:

Executive Order 12333–United States intelligence activities

Source: The provisions of Executive Order 12333 of Dec. 4, 1981, appear at 46 FR 59941, 3 CFR, 1981 Comp., p. 200, unless otherwise noted.

2.11Prohibition on Assassination. No person employed by or acting on behalf of the United States Government shall engage in, or conspire to engage in, assassination.

Some people took exception to it by reading more into it than what the article’s point was meant to be. We have to start using our critical thinking skills to survive individually and as a nation.

We will start with the Church Committee:

The Church Committee took public and private testimony from hundreds of people, collected huge volumes of files from the FBI, CIA, NSA, IRS, and many other federal agencies, and issued 14 reports in 1975 and 1976. Since the passage of the JFK Assassination Records Collection Act in 1992, over 50,000 pages of Church Committee records have been declassified and made available to the public. These files contain testimony and information on U.S. attempts to assassinate foreign leaders, on the Church Committee’s investigation of the intelligence agencies’ response to the JFK assassination, and related topics.

Although I am only putting excerpts in this article from a legal review from Boston College, I encourage everyone to read more opinions outlining why the assassination of foreign leaders and enemies was made illegal.

Redistribution – The Obama Way

The administration’s plan to redistribute America’s wealth to the poor has now added a new dimension. The trustees of MF Global have announced that there are “no immediate plans to transfer more money to” the people whose personal assets were illegally used to finance Jon Corzine’s bad investments in Europe. Instead of the Department of Justice arresting the “Honorable Jon Corzine” and returning stolen property to their proper owners, Eric Holder is busy validating Obama’s recess appointments.

Where did their assets go? To Europe with the blessing of this administration along with the Federal Reserve’s European bank bailouts being carried out without any government oversight. Redistribution works multiple ways: to the poor, to the European banks and to the pockets of the administration.

I believe Germany poses the biggest threat to global harmony for 2012.

Here’s why…

European banks are (in addition to borrowing on a secured basis from those customers they usually lend to) also paying insurers and pension funds to take their illiquid bonds in exchange for better quality ones, in a desperate bid to secure much-needed cash from the ECB, which only provides cash against collateral. This may not be as safe a measure as it sounds. Below is a sensitivity analysis of Generali’s (a highly leveraged Italian insurer, subscribers see File Icon Exposure of European insurers to PIIGS) sovereign debt holdings.

Banks Say Debt Swap Time Is Running Out In Greece, Key Issues Unresolved

EU Is Collapsing Like Tower Of Babel 070510top

Banks — well, technically the institution for international finance, which represents them in negotiations — say time is running out to resolve plans to writedown and restructure Greek debt.

Key issues, they say, remain unresolved.

This has kind of been known for a while, that the agreement made last October was not coming along smoothly, but now they issues are being made public.

Greece will likely default in March without a solution on this front, so time is of the essence.
