Fukushima Debris “Island” The Size Of Texas Near US West Coast

While it took Japan over two years to admit the Fukushima situation on the ground is “out of control“, a development many had predicted for years, a just as important topic is what are the implications of this uncontrolled radioactive disaster on not only the local environment and society but also globally, particularly Japan’s neighbor across the Pacific – the US.

To be sure, there has been much speculation, much of it unjustified, in the past two years debating when, how substantial and how acute any potential debris from Fukushima would be on the US. Which is why it was somewhat surprising to see the NOAA come out with its own modeling effort, which shows that not only “some buoyant items first reached the Pacific Northwest coast during winter 2011-2012” but to openly confirm that a debris field weighing over 1 million tons, and larger than Texas is now on the verge of hitting the American coastline, just west off the state of California.

Obviously, the NOAA in releasing such a stunner could well be hammered by the administration for “inciting panic” which is why it caveated its disclosure carefully:

Many variables affect where the debris will go and when. Items will sink, disperse, and break up along the way, and winds and ocean currents constantly change, making it very difficult to predict an exact date and location for the debris’ arrival on our shores.

The model gives NOAA an understanding of where debris from the tsunami may be located today, because it incorporates how winds and ocean currents since the event may have moved items through the Pacific Ocean. This model is a snapshot of where debris may be now, but it does not predict when debris will reach U.S. shores in the future. It’s a “hindcast,” rather than a “forecast.” The model also takes into account the fact that winds can move different types of debris at different speeds. For example, wind may push an upright boat (large portion above water) faster than a piece of lumber (floating mostly at and below the surface).

Obama is proud of Illinois after same-sex marriage vote

AP Health Overhaul That Promise_001

President Obama expressed deep pride in the Illinois General Assembly after it became the 15 state on Tuesday to legalize same-sex marriage.

Obama, who served in the state’s General Assembly, came out in favor of same sex marriage ahead of his reelection last year after years of stating that his views were “evolving” on the issue.

The president’s support of civil union dates back to 2004.

Here’s what Obama had to say about the vote in Illinois:

“Tonight, I applaud the men and women of the Illinois General Assembly, a body in which I was proud to serve, for voting to legalize marriage equality in my home state.

As President, I have always believed that gay and lesbian Americans should be treated fairly and equally under the law. Over time, I also came to believe that same-sex couples should be able to get married like anyone else. So tonight, Michelle and I are overjoyed for all the committed couples in Illinois whose love will now be as legal as ours – and for their friends and family who have long wanted nothing more than to see their loved ones treated fairly and equally under the law.

Confirmation

va

From the Washington Post

The Virginia gubernatorial  election yesterday was confirmation of the following points for me:

1. The Republican party does not support the Liberty movement to restore the Constitution. Their abandonment of Ken Cuccinelli as a “Tea Party” candidate confirmed their hypocrisy.

2. There are more of them than us. See the above map.

3. There is no political solution to restore Liberty.

4. Mr. Cuccinelli lost the election by 55,539 votes. The difference between McAuliffe and Cuccinelli  in FairFax County was 66,482 votes. One county populated by the ruling class defined the election results. Currently, 99.8% of the precincts have reported their vote counts.

5. Obamacare will be implemented at any monetary cost.

Unnecessary Death: NC Veterans Killed by Illegal Aliens

Earlier this month the Examiner published an article: More than 100 North Carolinians have been killed by illegal aliens.  As Obama rekindles a fresh push for Amnesty and as Veterans’ Day approaches, I would like to highlight the stories of veterans killed by illegal aliens.  Because our government refuses to enforce current immigration law and refuses to protect and seal our borders, these individuals who served their country with honor were killed by criminals who never should have been in the country.  The Amnesty pushers are telling you these criminals just came here for a better life.  Were these murders just good, hard-working folks like you and me?  Hardly.

It is a tragedy when anyone becomes the victim of violent crime.  It is all the more shameful when the criminal is an illegal alien flying under the radar and given cover by the government.  These American veterans who were killed volunteered to protect the rest of us from all enemies foreign and domestic.  They signed a blank check valued up to and including their lives to keep that oath, but they were not killed in the line of duty on the battlefield.  They were shamefully murdered in the streets of North Carolina.

Student Loan Debt Owed to Federal Government Up 463% Under Obama

Student Loan Debt Owed to Federal Government Up 463% Under Obama

Since President Barack Obama took office in 2009, the amount of outstanding federal student loan debt owed to the government has skyrocketed, increasing by 463 percent. The balance owed currently stands at $674,580,000,000.00 compared to $119,803,000,000.00, where it stood in January 2009, according to the Financial Management Service’s latest monthly treasury statement.

Direct federal student loan spending began to rise rapidly in fiscal year 2010, when the Health Care and Education Reconciliation Act – one of the two laws that make up Obamacare — gave the federal government complete control over federal loans for education, the Direct Student Loan (DL) program.  This aspect of HCERA became effective July 1, 2010, when the amount of outstanding loans stood at $178,806,000,000. Since then, the balance has increased by 277 percent.

Is a Race War Occurring?

race-war

Dr. Thomas Sowell, the intellectual juggernaut, recently concluded that a Black and White race war is in effect. He stated, “Initial skirmishes in that race war have already begun, and have in fact been going on for some years. But public officials pretend that it is not happening, and the mainstream media seldom publish it at all, except in ways that conceal what is really taking place.”

The Peoples’ ColonelAllen West, echoed Dr. Sowell’s sentiment and further added, “We were supposed to be living in a post-racial America since we elected the first ‘African-American’ president. That’s hardly the case.”

Even though these gentlemen are demonized in the Black community for not being Grievance Industry members or stockholders, I respect them tremendously. They are straight-shooting realists, and as Black men, understand that racial solidarity shouldn’t supersede critical thinking. Moreover, Sowell and West want to do what’s right for America instead of what’s best for a few Americans.

REP. TREY GOWDY’S EXPLOSIVE CLAIM ABOUT BENGHAZI SURVIVORS

httpv://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AX5WwWSuL3k

The Obama administration is “changing names” of the Benghazi survivors and “creating aliases” to keep them hidden from congressional investigators and the American people, Rep. Trey Gowdy (R-S.C.) told Greta Van Susteren on Thursday night. He also said the administration is “dispersing them around the country” to keep them out of sight.

Gowdy’s stunning claims were overshadowed by CNN’s bombshell report that revealed there were “dozens” of CIA operatives on the ground in Benghazi on Sept. 11, 2012, the night of the deadly attack that killed four Americans. Meanwhile, the CIA is taking “unprecedented” to keep whatever it was doing in Benghazi a secret, according to the report.

How Many Lives the Government “Eats” Each Year

FREEMANSPERSPECTIVE

I like to look at things from an outsider’s viewpoint – to notice things that most people pass over. And I usually find these things more or less by accident. For example, take a quick look at this formula:

government spending

This looks like physics or economics, but I actually ran across it in a legal case. As it turns out, this is the formula to determine the monetary value of your life.

That may sound crazy, but it’s absolutely true.

Officially termed “the monetary value of human capital,” this calculation is used every day in courts of law to help determine various awards – typically when someone is injured and prevented from working.

What struck me as interesting is that this formula could also be used in other ways… like for government for example.

Government is the biggest business on the planet – by far. (We examined how in FMP #32.) And government functions with money.

So, I decided to use arithmetic to determine the cost of government – not measured in dollars, but in human lives.

Think of this as a currency conversion: dollars-to-lives, rather than the usual dollars-to-euros or dollars-to-yen.

‘Million Mask Protest’ in D.C.

Here’s some Kabuki theatre to distract the population from the fact that local and state elections are being ‘engineered’ today…

Compliments of the Occupy crowd and Anonymous:

million-mask-3

million-mask-1

million-mask-4

Pray that this does not become the next Kent State…  because if they feel it is needed, those in the halls of the capital WILL escalate a distraction to that magnitude.

Polling Machine Problems Happening In Swing County In Virginia

Problems appear to already be happening on election day in Virginia. Two callers from Loudoun County called into WMAL’s Morning’s on the Mall radio show and told hosts Larry O’Connor and Brian Wilson that the electronic validation system across the county was down when they showed up to go vote.

Warner from Lovettsville said, “I got to the polls about 6:15 and the parking lot was packed and I go in and there are about hundred people in line and come to find out that the electronic system to validate voters is down. They didn’t have the printed voter registration list for the first time ever, as far as I can tell. Up until about 6:40 not one person had voted in lovettsville and it looks like a countywide problem.”

Paul from Lovettsville agreed telling WMAL, “I’m experiencing the exact same thing he did. I  arrived just before six ‘o’ clock. The great news was that in Loudoun County the lines were packed. People were definitely showing up, but once you got in, there was a connectivity problem. Two people would get through and then we’d stop and wait and then just kept going over and over. And the poor IT guy, he was working everything he could, but he told me that the connectivity problem was a countywide problem.”
