The portion of the population who support abortions (53 million and counting) are also the same people who are attacking the second amendment and want gun control legislation. As Obama put it: if even one life can be saved, Congress should act against gun violence.
How do you reconcile genocide by abortion on one hand with passing gun control legislation to “save lives” on another hand? You don’t. Both have the same end result: genocide.

As consumer inflation approaches 10%, payroll taxes increased and unemployment is 23%, how much more pain will it take for the American people to wake up? I have no faith in a federal reserve note and am converting this fiat currency to things that actually have value. This strategy has protected us from inflation and made impressive gains vs. the stock market. As for people “socking away less money in the bank” as noted in the article below: who would want an annual rate of interest of 0.001%?

Consumer spending in the U.S. rose in January even as incomes dropped by the most in 20 years, showing households were weathering the payroll-tax increase by socking away less money in the bank.
Household purchases, which account for about 70 percent of the economy, climbed 0.2 percent after a 0.1 percent gain the prior month, a Commerce Department report showed today in Washington. The median estimate in a Bloomberg survey of 76 economists called for a 0.2 percent advance. Incomes slumped 3.6 percent, sending the saving rate down to the lowest level since November 2007.
Employment gains, the rebound in housing and growing demand for autos will probably keep supporting consumer spending in the first quarter as the world’s largest economy picks up from an end-of-year slowdown. Even so, rising gasoline prices and the need to rebuild nest eggs may make it difficult for households to match last quarter’s performance.

Demand a plan? Secure the borders, stop the militarization of police and ask why the federal government is buying 2 billion hollow point rounds (and climbing).

Those who know anything about Islamic expansionism will be aware the Saudi-Arabian based Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) holds the largest bloc vote within the UN, and that they are working hard (and spending a lot of money) trying to stop any criticism of Islam in the West.
The OIC, in accordance with sharia law, deems all criticism of Islam to be invalid. It does not matter if it is true or untrue; the mere fact that it is critical is simply not allowed. Period. The buzzword they have come up with to negate our defence against their extremist ideology is “Islamophobia” which of course means an irrational fear of Islam.
This is very clever. By utilising the word “Islamophobia” they manage to pigeonhole any critics of Islam as being of a mentally questionable equilibrium — which may not be true initially, but may well be the case after a few years, simply because trying to make sense of this madness must surely drive us slowly insane.
For example, I have a perfectly rational fear of Communism, which brought death and social/moral/environmental catastrophe wherever it laid its bloodied boot. During the Cold War it was fortunate for the West that our ruling elites (mostly…) did not lie down before Moscow and that they did not accuse critics of the Soviet Union of suffering from Commieophobia….
This was not emulated in Socialist countries, however. Critics of Communism really were deemed to be mentally ill, and many show trials forced them to admit their insanity before they were consigned to the gulag or given a bullet in the back of the neck. Deeming criticism of the power-elite to be irrational/insane is a tried and tested method of maintaining power, and is seen only in absolute dictatorships, the vast majority of which have been of left-wing bent, with the notable exception of Islam.
Which brings me to the point of this article. The British government, in its infinite wisdom and treachery, has established an All-Party Parliamentary Group on Islamophobia which describes its role as follows:

“He was scared to death, surrounded by six to eight guys he thought were his friends,” Morrissey said.
Local 107 secretary-treasurer Shawn Dougherty downplayed the NLRB ruling.
The genesis of the article is comments that I see on my blog posts and elsewhere from individuals who, to a certain extent, reject small unit tactics as a means for post-collapse survival and prefer to plan to operate as a ‘lone wolf.’ I see comments such as ‘I’ll be going hunting’ and criticism of small unit tactics on the basis of them being ‘for the military’.
Ok, so let’s take that at face value and examine some tactical considerations for such an operator. Let’s envision a post-collapse scenario where a father is protecting his family at a hidden retreat. I am going to put this in the woods/country rather than urban, just to make the article shorter and because that is where most retreats are located, but many of the considerations will apply across tactical environments.
Imagine that in your area there is an active paramilitary marauder gang who thus poses a clear and present threat to your retreat and family. They are conducting active operations in your area of operations (AO) and you therefore decide that the best approach for the tactical self-defense of your family is an active defense. Such an active defense will mean going out and disrupting the operations of this group in such a way that they will be deterred from operating in your area. Otherwise known as goin’ huntin’!
Your primary concern is stealth and concealment. If you are going away from your retreat you need to consider how that retreat is defended in your absence, and what will happen if you do not come back. The best defense of that retreat will be avoidance by concealment. Perhaps if you do deter the gang from your area you are also defending your retreat by preventing the enemy from moving in your direction and discovering your family/stash.
We are going to talk about a lone operator. Many of the disadvantages faced by a lone operator can be overcome by moving at a minimum in a pair, like a sniper team. But this is going to be a purist article, it is going to be about a ‘lone wolf’.

Detroit Mayor Dave Bing says he spoke by phone with Michigan Governor Rick Snyder today. He says the governor will announce his decision regarding the possible appointment of an Emergency Financial Manager for the city of Detroit on Friday.
The mayor said, “Everybody’s got a pretty good idea of what the announcement is going to be.”
When asked whether he expected the governor to announce the choice of an EFM, Bing said, “Not immediately.”
Earlier today, WXYZ reported that Mayor Bing said the governor would announce a state takeover on Friday. The mayor says he did not make that statement and a review of his comments indicates that he did not specifically say a takeover would be announced.
“I shouldn’t make the announcement, the Governor will make it,” said Bing while talking with reporters following a speech before the Detroit Regional Chamber at the MotorCity Casino.

In August 2012, the U.S. Marshal’s Office arrested Tobijah Nelson, 28, in Queens, N.Y., after the Jamaican national spent more than three years on the run, following the murder of Army Spc. Charles Clements at a Spring Lake nightclub.
Nelson has been charged with accessory after the fact to the murder.
WRAL reported:
Clements, a 27-year-old soldier based in Fort Hood, Texas, went to a friend’s birthday party at the Ikola Jamaican Restaurant and Lounge on March 29, 2009. Nelson and another man, Demar Bryan, 24, were regular customers at the nightclub.
That night, Bryan allegedly began arguing with a woman outside. Clements intervened on the woman’s behalf and began arguing with Bryan.
Investigators said Bryan followed Clements back inside and shot him while on the dance floor. Clements was home on leave from Afghanistan and was due to return to war the following week. Mwebe, Clements’ friend, was also injured in the gunfire.

With little time left for Congress to act, I’m deeply concerned about the effects that sequestration would have on our state.
While reducing our national debt is one of my top priorities, indiscriminate, unprioritized cuts on the backs of our service members are not the way to get our fiscal house in order. The packs they carry and the burdens they’ve shouldered are heavy enough without the threat of sequestration.
Sequestration would have harmful effects on our armed forces by diminishing future military readiness and jeopardizing our country’s national security. It would also threaten our state’s fragile economic recovery.

More than 22,000 civilian employees in and around military bases like Fort Bragg, Camp Lejeune and Cherry Point would face $121 million in collective pay cuts. Earlier this week, I provided more details about these cuts in op-eds in the Fayetteville Observer and New Bern Sun-Journal.
Not only are these cuts damaging to the middle class families who will see less pay each month, but they’re also harmful for the spillover effect they will have on our local economies – the small businesses, grocery stores, dry cleaners who are just getting back on their feet.
Education and groundbreaking research funding that is an important part of our economy, especially in the Research Triangle, would be slashed as well. Specifically, I am concerned by $25.4 million in cuts to education that puts 350 teacher jobs at risk and put access to Head Start out of reach for 1,500 children. North Carolina would also lose out on $60 million in fudning for medical and scientific research.
The middle class should not keep paying the price when Washington can’t compromise and work together.
I will continue working with my colleagues on both sides of the aisle to stop these cuts and instead enact a balanced, responsible deficit reduction plan. We owe it to the men and women who have worn the uniform and sacrificed so much for our security.

John Kerry on first foreign trip
Incoming US Secretary of State John Kerry, on his first foreign trip, set forth what sounded like a new Obama administration policy for Syria in his remarks in Paris Wednesday, Feb. 27. They were accompanied by reports that the US was stepping up its support for the Syrian opposition. It would cover training rebels at a base in the region and non-lethal assistances and equipment, such as vehicles, communications equipment and night vision gear.
But Kerry’s remarks did not reflect a new policy but merely recycled old definitions which confirmed US disengagement from Syria, rather than “stepping up support” for the Syrian opposition “for the first time.” US supplies of nonlethal assistance to Syrian rebels date back to early last year. The US has moreover been training Syrian rebels in Jordanian bases near the Syrian border for more than a year to carry out three missions:
1. To seize control of Bashar Assad’s chemical weapons arsenal;
2. To create a pro-Western core command structure as a factor in post-Assad government;
3. To ward off the takeover of the revolt command by Islamist factions, including groups associated with al Qaeda.
It turned out that none of these three missions was actually achieved. The chemical weapons remained firmly in the hands of Assad and his army – which never used them, contrary to rebel claims; factions close to Al Qaeda grew stronger; and their role in the rebel command expanded as they were seen to be the best-armed and trained of any Syrian rebel faction.
