Our Restoration’s Benedict Arnold

The lines are being drawn in our country. Whatever delineation you use to decide your particular line, I prefer the simplest: those who love Liberty vs. those who would enslave us. Most of those who are “transforming” the country to their agenda (slavery) are well known. However, Justice  Mr. Roberts’ betrayal of the people, Constitution and Liberty is just as egregious as the act of betray by Benedict Arnold. No one expected Mr. Roberts’ reversal betrayal concerning the Supreme Court decision on the Affordable Health Care Act. As outlined below, this tax will be $20,000 per family when fully enacted. What happens when people cannot pay this tax? What happens when people refuse to pay this tax?

What recourse but revolution is available to the people as the government enslaves us with excessive taxation and redistribution? Should restoration of the Constitution of the United States of America be considered revolution? I believe in this country and know in my heart that this government does not represent the morality, Sacred honor and the love of Liberty that I have. This government does not represent the future of a free America.

History shows what happens to vain and aspiring men in the highest offices when evil regimes fall. It is one thing to seek power in the open, but what do you call someone like Mr. Roberts other than this revolution’s Benedict Arnold?

IRS: Cheapest Obamacare Plan Will Be $20,000 Per Family

In a final regulation issued Wednesday, the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) assumed that under Obamacare the cheapest health insurance plan available in 2016 for a family will cost $20,000 for the year.

Under Obamacare, Americans will be required to buy health insurance or pay a penalty to the IRS.

The IRS’s assumption that the cheapest plan for a family will cost $20,000 per year is found in examples the IRS gives to help people understand how to calculate the penalty they will need to pay the government if they do not buy a mandated health plan.

Obama Administration: We Will Still Force Christians to Act Against Their Faith

Hobby Lobby

(CNSNews.com) – The Department of Health and Human Services on Friday set the stage for a massive showdown between the federal government of the United States and American Christians who believe the government has no right to force them to act against their faith by mandating that they buy, provide or facilitate health-care coverage that includes sterilizations, contraception, or abortion-inducing drugs.

HHS released a new proposed regulation under the Obamacare law that the department presented as an accommodation to religious “organizations” that object to providing sterilizations, contraceptives and abortion-inducing drugs in their health care plans. However, the proposal does not truly expand the exceedingly narrow religious exemption presented in the initial regulation, which was finalized last year, and continues to offer no exemption at all to Christian individuals or business owners.

“There really is no expansion of the religious exemption,” said Leonard Leo, a Washington attorney, who is a board member of The Catholic Association, a group of Catholic lay persons dedicated to applying the teachings and principles of the church to the issues of the day.

“The HHS mandate announcement today changes nothing, it is just another accounting gimmick and the HHS mandate continues to be a violation of civil rights, religious freedom and First Amendment rights,” said Maureen Ferguson, senior policy advisor to The Catholic Association. “Catholic institutions and other faith based organizations, including hospitals and universities and private employers, still do not get their First Amendment rights back and are still being forced to either violate their faith or pay crippling government fines for practicing their faith.”

The Barrel Will Be Hot – T.L. Davis

TLDavisEvidence mounts that the federal government is corrupt and is operating outside the Constitution. I might write about it. Others might write about it. But when Sheriffs across the land increasingly vocalize their resistance to unconstitutional laws; when states pass legislation to refuse to comply with federal restrictions on guns, we are not just a bunch of nuts whining about gun laws.

The federal government, particularly Barack Obama and Eric Holder might want to pay attention here. They are losing the PR battle when it comes to the Second Amendment. Instead of making the supporters of the Second Amendment look like nuts who just want to kill people, they are convincing the other half of the nation that the government is full of nuts who just want to kill people.

It wasn’t so long ago when those of us in the patriot/liberty community spoke about resistance we were shrugged off. When we spoke of unconstitutional laws we were ignored. When we called out the President and the Attorney General as Marxists who wanted to disarm the American people to force their collectivist policies on people we were shouted down as unreasonable and delusional.

Obama’s Radical Friends – Organizing for Action is considering merger with radical left-wing groups

BY:

The new Obama advocacy nonprofit Organizing for Action is reportedly considering a merger with a left-wing umbrella group whose financiers have ties to Palestinian terrorists and Central American Marxists.

The Common Purpose Project (CPP), an affiliation of left-wing activist groups, may merge with Organizing for Action, the new 501(c)4 iteration of the Obama campaign’s 527 group, Organizing for America.

The Common Purpose Project held periodic meetings attended by top liberal groups during President Barack Obama’s first term. Top White House officials regularly attended the meetings and the president himself has even attended one.

Erik Smith and Laura Burton Capps—CPP’s founder and the group’s managing director, respectively—have reportedly attended at least 50 “planning sessions” at the White House.

Among CPP’s donors are Sandor and Faye Straus, founders of the left-wing Firedoll Foundation. The couple has funneled money to a host of radical organizations through Firedoll.

Bank of America site down because of ‘technical issues’

Bank of America’s consumer Web site has been hit with a long outage because of what the company called “technical issues.”

The bank confirmed the problems through its Twitter account, telling consumers that it knew about the issues and was “working to resolve as soon as possible.”

The bank did not immediately return a request for comment on what may have caused the attack. People familiar with the situation say it’s an internal glitch.

Banks are a prime target for hackers who have used methods such as denial-of-service attacks to shut down sites and made serious attempts to extract data from the companies or straight from consumers.

The Reluctant Anarchist

A man is the product of his knowledge, or lack thereof.

Most Americans are ignorant – not stupid or mentally challenged – just ignorant. We lack knowledge. But many of us have begun to awaken, slowly. We have seen one deception after another fall. We have become aware, reluctantly, that institutions that we have been taught to love and revere and which we have trusted have actually deceived us, misled us, despoiled us.

The late Joe Sobran was a columnist with whom I shared a kindred spirit. I can’t recall ever reading anything he wrote with which I disagreed. This morning I read a column of his that I had somehow previously missed – The Reluctant Anarchist. Again, I found myself in agreement with his reasoning. He questioned the ability of the Constitution to restrain the state. Alas, he appears to have been proven correct.

Sobran writes, “… no constitution could restrain the state. Once its monopoly of force was granted legitimacy, constitutional limits became mere fictions it could disregard; nobody could have the legal standing to enforce those limits. The state itself would decide, by force, what the constitution “meant,” steadily ruling in its own favor and increasing its own power. This was true a priori, and American history bore it out.

What if the Federal Government grossly violated the Constitution? Could states withdraw from the Union? Lincoln said no. The Union was “indissoluble” unless all the states agreed to dissolve it. As a practical matter, the Civil War settled that. The United States, plural, were really a single enormous state, as witness the new habit of speaking of “it” rather than “them.”

So the people are bound to obey the government even when the rulers betray their oath to uphold the Constitution. The door to escape is barred. Lincoln in effect claimed that it is not our rights but the state that is “unalienable.” And he made it stick by force of arms. No transgression of the Constitution can impair the Union’s inherited legitimacy. Once established on specific and limited terms, the U.S. Government is forever, even if it refuses to abide by those terms.

For me this is anything but a happy conclusion. I miss the serenity of believing I lived under a good government, wisely designed and benevolent in its operation. But, as St. Paul says, there comes a time to put away childish things.”

Naked Truth on What Progressives Want

(DailyKos.com)  It’s nice that we’re finally talking about gun control. It’s very sad that it took such a terrible tragedy to talk about it, but I’m glad the conversation is happening. I hear a lot about assault weapon and large magazine bans, and whilst I’m supportive of that, it won’t solve the problem. The vast majority of firearm deaths occur with handguns. Only about 5% of people killed by guns are killed by guns which would be banned in any foreseeable AWB. (so we see that they know the truth, here)

Furthermore, there seems to be no talk about high powered rifles. What gun nuts don’t want you to know is many target and hunting rifles are chambered in the same round (.223/5.56mm) that Lanza’s assault weapon was. (still propagating the LIE that Lanza used an AR15, here) Even more guns are chambered for more powerful rounds, like the .30-06 or (my personal “favorite”) 7.62x54R. Even a .22, the smallest round manufactured on a large scale, can kill easily. In fact, some say the .22 kills more people than any other round out there.

Again, I like that we’re talking about assault weapons, machine guns, and high capacity clips. But it only takes one bullet out of one gun to kill a person. Remember the beltway sniper back in 2002? The one who killed a dozen odd people? Even though he used a bushmaster assault rifle, he only fired one round at a time before moving. He could have used literally any rifle sold in the US for his attacks.

The only way we can truly be safe and prevent further gun violence is to ban civilian ownership of all guns. That means everything. No pistols, no revolvers, no semiautomatic or automatic rifles. No bolt action. No breaking actions or falling blocks. Nothing. This is the only thing that we can possibly do to keep our children safe from both mass murder and common street violence. (Here it is folks, their end-game desire – it is a NO COMPROMISE position, if ever there was one)

At least 2 dead in suicide blast at US embassy, Ankara

UK Telegraph

According to first reports, a suicide bomber detonated an explosive device Friday, Feb. 1, at a side entrance to the US embassy in Ankara, Turkey, killing two security guards and causing other casualties.  Ambulances and fire engines have reached the site of the massive explosion which sent smoke and debris flying into the street. Turkish sources quote witnesses as seeing the bomber approach the embassy building and enter a gate in the fortified compound. They were not clear whether he entered the building before detonating his explosives.

The embassy staff took cover in a fortified part of the embassy after the blast. Local TV showed damage to a wall of the compound and what appeared to be a bullet-proof window in the embassy building smashed.

Dutch SNS Bank Fails On Real Estate Losses: First “Too Big To Fail” Nationalization In Five Years

Earlier today we got one hint that not all is well in the European banking system, as far less than the expected €200 billion was tendered back to the ECB in the second LTRO repayment operation, when just 27 banks paid back some €3.5 billion. Another, perhaps far bigger one, comes courtesy of AAA-rated Netherlands, which just experienced its first bank failure since 2008 following the nationalization of SNS Reall NV, as the previously announced bad loan writedown finally claimed the bank. As a reminder, half a month ago we got news that “SNS Reaal NV (SR), a Dutch bank and insurer struggling to wind down a money-losing real estate lending unit, fell the most in more than two months after a report said it may have to post a 1.8 billion-euro ($2.4 billion) writedown on property-finance loans.” Today we got the inevitable conclusion: nationalization, one which will cost taxpayers about $5 billion to avoid contagion to what many see as Europe’s “strongest” banking system.

From Bloomberg:

The move, aimed “at stabilizing the SNS Reaal group,” will cost taxpayers 3.7 billion euros ($5 billion), the Dutch Finance Ministry said in a statement today. SNS’s property- finance unit will be separated from the company.
