Asthmatic Subjected to EPA Experiments at UNC-CH; Inhofe Wants Hearing

A former student at the University of North Carolina has come forward publicly to call attention to the disturbing experiments theEnvironmental Protection Agency has conducted – and is likely still performing – at its Human Studies Facility in Chapel Hill, N.C.

Meanwhile Sen. James Inhofe, ranking minority member on the Environment and Public Works Committee, has requested that Chairman Barbara Boxer conduct a hearing about EPA’s activities during the current lame-duck session.

The student, Landon Huffman, found out about the EPA program through an advertisement in The Daily Tar Heel, the university’s newspaper. The experiments exposed subjects to fine particulate matter (called “PM2.5”) at extremely elevated levels for up to two hours at a time. Researchers – at the direction of medical doctors – sought test subjects with health problems such as heart conditions, obesity or breathing difficulties. Huffman is an asthmatic and is a member-plaintiff in a lawsuit against EPA to get the experiments halted.

Chart Of The Day: America’s Debt Crisis – Who Really Is Responsible?

While we watch the election process unfold, skewed polls and sound bites are used to mask the real issues: the debt and war. The national debt quietly hit $16 trillion less than one month ago and now $200 billion has been added to bring the total debt to $16.2 trillion. Our debt is going parabolic in an upward death spiral and no candidates on any level are addressing this “issue”. Of course, Ben Bernanke is addressing it: the printing presses are at full throttle to redistribute our life’s savings into free housing to buy votes.

America is at the crossroads for its very survival. If Congress cannot even pass a budget, does it really matter who wins the presidential election? The answer is yes with a qualified “but”. The federal government is broken in all three branches. Once the Constitution was abandoned, the rule of law has degraded to a system based on class structure and the producers are now the oppressed. What can we do? Prepare for it.

David DeGerolamo

From Zerohedge:

Yesterday we brought you the news that US debt quietly soared by $90 billion overnight to celebrate the new fiscal year end, reaching $16.2 trillion and sending total US debt to GDP to 103%. Needless to say, this comes at an exciting time, with the first Wall Street muppet presidential debate in about 12 hours, where the US debt crisis will be a front and center topic because in about 2 months, the US debt ceiling will again be breached adding to the Fiscal Cliff fiasco, resulting in a flashback to August 2011 when the market had to tumble by nearly 20% for Congress to get the hint that first and foremost its job is to make sure the money on Wall Street keeps flowing, all else secondary. And while it has become fashionable to say that US debt rose by this much under that president, the truth is that the Presidency is merely one of three institutions that are responsible for the shape of the US debt-to-GDP line (which is now going from the lower left to the upper right by default). The other two are, of course, Congress and the Senate. Luckily, to simply things substantially, we have a handy graphic (see above)  from today’s Bloomberg Brief which conveniently plots not only the political affiliation of the presidency, but of the House and Senate, in the chronology of the US debt crisis.

DUBAI – Iranian riot police clashed on Wednesday with demonstrators and foreign exchange dealers in the capital Tehran over the collapse of the country’s currency, which has lost a third of its value against the dollar in a week, witnesses said.

Police fired tear gas to disperse the demonstrators, angered by the plunge in the value of the Iranian rial. Protesters shouted slogans against Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, saying his economic policies had fueled the economic crisis.

NCFIRE- September Crimes by Suspected Illegal Aliens

NCFIRE

North Carolinians For Immigration

 Reform and Enforcement

Secure Our Border-Enforce Our Laws!

We have posted the latest monthly issue of the North Carolina Crime Report by Suspected Illegal Aliens on our website; www.NCFIRE.info. This report covers crimes by suspected illegal aliens in NC for the month of September.

This month we focused on Cabarrus, Guilford, Johnston, Chatham, Mecklenburg, Durham, Rockingham and Brunswick Counties. It is over 200 pages long and can be viewed online as a pdf file here: http://ncfire.info/september2012.pdf.

The amount of monthly crimes by suspected illegal aliens in NC is staggering. These crimes are not compiled in any statewide database and that tends to make the problem look smaller than it really is. By issuing these reports, our goal is to draw attention to the size and scope of the problem in NC. This is not ALL of the crimes by suspected illegal aliens in NC and we do not report every crime, in every county, each month. There is simply not enough time to enter it all! That is the magnitude of the problem we are facing.

You can view the past 3 years worth of monthly NC crime reports on our “Crime Report Archives” page here: http://ncfire.info/crimearchives.htm

This ongoing illegal alien crime wave against NC citizens has got to stop. It is killing us: financially, emotionally and physically.

North Carolina Autumn Patriot Convention

Engraved shotgun door prize

People are starting to arrive for the North Carolina Autumn Patriot Convention in Tarboro, NC. The agenda and a multitude of door prizes guarantee that this event will be a success. I am looking forward to the III Arms prototypes since this is the first time that this product line will be seen in public. I will be posting videos from this event (and the Nullification Seminar on Sunday) as soon as possible.

Ever Wonder How Effective the Department of Homeland Security Is?

The Department of Homeland Security: always brings visions of Nazi Germany to mind. The newest campaign issue is “Do you feel safer now than four years ago”? Absolutely not. In fact my safety (as is your safety) is in jeopardy from domestic enemies that are supposed to be providing our security.

I have a dream. One day, the two Janets and Eric Holder will be brought to justice. On that day, we know that America has regained its way and its long journey back to the rule of law and the Constitution.

Homeland Security ‘fusion’ centers spy on citizens, produce ‘shoddy’ work, report says

By Michael Isikoff
NBC News

The Department of Homeland Security has spent hundreds of millions of dollars on a network of 77 so-called “fusion” intelligence centers that have collected personal information on some U.S. citizens — including detailing the “reading habits” of American Muslims — while producing “shoddy” reports and making no contribution to thwarting any terrorist plots,  a new Senate report states.

The “ fusion centers,” created under President George W. Bush and expanded under President Barack Obama, consist of  special   teams of  federal , state and local officials collecting and analyzing  intelligence on suspicious activities throughout the country.  They have been hailed by Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano as “one of the centerpieces”  of the nation’s counterterrorism efforts.

But a bipartisan report by the Senate Permanent Subcommittee on Investigations released Tuesday concludes that the centers “often produced irrelevant” and “useless” intelligence reports. “There were times when it was, ‘What a bunch of crap is coming through,’” one senior Homeland Security official is quoted as saying .

Atwater, Next In A Tidal Wave Of California Municipal Bankruptcies

by Chriss Street

Atwater, California, just admitted they did not have the cash flow to make a $2 million municipal bond payment due in November and may become the 4th local California government file for Chapter 9 municipal bankruptcy this year.  The farming community of 28,000 residents has been strangled by the battle with environmentalists more interested in protecting the lifestyle of a two-inch fish called the Delta Smelt than family farms.  Burdened with crippling unionized public employee wage and pension costs, while private sector wages and property values drop, Atwater is the latest in a soon to be tidal wave of local government failures.

Beginning in 2007, Federal Judge Oliver Wanger imposed limits on the amount of water pumped from the San Joachin-Sacramento River delta to farms in California’s Central Valley in order to protect the Delta Smelt.  As a result, hundreds of thousand acres of farmland lie fallow, and tens of thousands of jobs were lost. Over 200,000 farmers, migrant workers and their family members were financially devastated.  Homeless shelters and bread lines were overwhelmed as crops withered and banks foreclosed on family farms.  Local public schools continue to report rising malnutrition as many proud families are too embarrassed to take government welfare.

Do Western Central Banks Have Any Gold Left?

By: Eric Sprott & David Baker

Somewhere deep in the bowels of the world’s Western central banks lie vaults holding gargantuan piles of physical gold bars… or at least that’s what they all claim. The gold bars are part of their respective foreign currency reserves, which include all the usual fiat currencies like the dollar, the pound, the yen and the euro.

Collectively, the governments/central banks of the United States, United Kingdom, Japan, Switzerland, Eurozone and the International Monetary Fund (IMF) are believed to hold an impressive 23,349 tonnes of gold in their respective reserves, representing more than $1.3 trillion at today’s gold price. Beyond the suggested tonnage, however, very little is actually known about the gold that makes up this massive stockpile. Western central banks disclose next to nothing about where it’s stored, in what form, or how much of the gold reserves are utilized for other purposes. We are assured that it’s all there, of course, but little effort has ever been made by the central banks to provide any details beyond the arbitrary references in their various financial reserve reports.

Our analysis of the physical gold market shows that central banks have most likely been a massive unreported supplier of physical gold, and strongly implies that their gold reserves are negligible today. If Frank Veneroso’s conclusions were even close to accurate back in 1998 (and we believe they were), when coupled with the 2,300 tonne net change in annual demand we can easily identify above, it can only lead to the conclusion that a large portion of the Western central banks’ stated 23,000 tonnes of gold reserves are merely a paper entry on their balance sheets – completely un-backed by anything tangible other than an IOU from whatever counterparty leased it from them in years past. At this stage of the game, we don’t believe these central banks will be able to get their gold back without extreme difficulty, especially if it turns out the gold has left their countries entirely. We can also only wonder how much gold within the central bank system has been ‘rehypothecated’ in the process, since the central banks in question seem so reluctant to divulge any meaningful details on their reserves in a way that would shed light on the various “swaps” and “loans” they imply to be participating in. We might also suggest that if a proper audit of Western central bank gold reserves was ever launched, as per Ron Paul’s recent proposal to audit the US Federal Reserve, the proverbial cat would be let out of the bag – with explosive implications for the gold price.

A cooking option for the prepper…Firebox Stove

httpv://www.youtube.com/watch?v=amdd8ispP1Y

From YouTube:

A ideal stove for a bug out bag or if space is limited at your house or apartment. The firebox stove is well made and has its place in the prepper’s pantry.

www.foldingfirebox.com/

Full disclosure the stove was given to me freely to review. I will make nothing from the review or if you purchase the item. I do get to keep the stove which I am very grateful for.

The Face of Tyranny

The Spanish Revolution may be just starting but the message to their “elected” officials is clear: Cuts are necessary. While our government is stealing our freedom and the fruits of our labor, most people still do not understand the simple concepts of slavery and tyranny. But our government is taking it a step further as their tyranny is becoming unleashed in every facet of our lives: they are taking legal action against people and companies whose only crime is the truth.

Imagine the gallows humor coming toward Washington, D.C. in the near future.

SEC Sues the One Rating Firm Not on Wall Street’s Take

The Securities and Exchange Commission, it seems, has finally lost its mind.

In April, motivated by what I consider pure maliciousness, the SEC initiated a “cease and desist” administrative proceeding it deemed “necessary for the protection of investors and in the public interest” against Egan-Jones Ratings Co., a privately owned, 20-person firm based in Haverford, Pennsylvania, and against its principal owner, Sean Egan.

NC Renegade posts do-it-yourself assassinate the mayor video

I could respond to the article below that was forwarded to me yesterday. But I will not. I will defer to my wife’s opinion after reading it: I must be doing something right if people stoop to this level of personal attack.

Does NC House Speaker Thom Tillis regret meeting with David DeGerolamo yet?

“Things to think about—the nerds, the engineers—are going to be vital for a grid-down situation,” the instructor for NC Renegade’s ‘prepper’ series explains to his YouTube followers. Why are the “nerds” important? Because without them, he says: “We’d never have a chance of taking out the mayor.”

NC Renegade released a video as part of its “fictional training series” about overthrowing a “self-appointed mayor.” In a “grid-down situation”—shorthand for a scenario in which the United States has been disabled from using phones, Internet, and other technologies—NC Renegade urges its video fans to consider how it might organize to protect itself against home-grown tyranny. The NC Renegade instructor is a self-described ‘prepper’—a person who is preparing to do battle with the forces of tyranny in the United States.

DeGerolamo’s other great ideas, discussed at length on NCRenegade.com, include dissolving the Department of Justice and repealing the Fourteenth Amendment. NC Renegade’s prominent display of “Three Percent Patriots” regalia, referring to the estimated percentage of the colonial population that took up arms against the British Empire and a “President [Obama]’s Enemy List” decal place it clearly within the Patriot movement line of rhetoric. RC Renegade also promotes the Rex 84 conspiracy theory, suggesting that the federal government will, by a series of executive orders, institute martial law and place Americans into internment camps.

NC Renegade has also been promoting the “IIImpact Conference,” an anti-immigrant conference intended to bring together all of the state’s nativist bigwigs, including members of the state legislature. Other organizations in attendance will be NC Listen, the FAIR state contact, NC FIRE (whose president regularly shares white nationalist publications), and Americans for Legal Immigration PAC (ALIPAC). Despite their extremist associations (or flirtation with notions of race warlike ALIPAC president William Gheen), these organizations have found a receptive audience in the legislature. Although separate, these organizations have increasingly become team players in the state, holding their own joint meeting with Speaker Tillis.

Anti-government crusaders are active in NC politics. Rep. Glen Bradley (R-Franklin)  is a founding member of the Oath Keepers. Stewart Rhodes, the national founder of the Oath Keepers, recently gave a lecture to members of both chambers of the NC legislature alongside Bradley. Nor are anti-government and anti-immigrant groups in separate camps. Jeff Lewis, an organizer for the Fire Coalition, is also a representative for the Patriot Coalition.
