I have included the entire article from the NC Institute for Constitutional Law below in order to give the readers an opportunity to comment on its content. An opinion which bases itself on a ruling of the Supreme Court instead of the Constitution speaks for itself. As we have seen since Marbury v. Madison, this “Court” has one purpose: to increase its power.
I agree with Stewart Rhodes of Oath Keepers: nullification first, then civil disobedience if that fails and then revolution to restore our Constitution. While I have doubts that our North Carolina legislature has the courage to stand up for our 10th amendment rights, Sacred honor requires that we take these measures in order. As for the conclusion offered below, I will side with Jefferson and Madison over unlawful interpretations of the Constitution. We all know that this nullification effort is directed against the affordable health care legislation which is an abuse of the Constitution and the people.

Introduction
Recently, some groups have attempted to revive the doctrine of nullification, which holds that a state can invalidate what it believes are unconstitutional federal laws based on states’ rights under the Tenth Amendment to the U.S. Constitution. Nullification is not a new idea, having come to life in the Kentucky and Virginia Resolutions of 1798 and again at various points in U.S. history. John Dinan, Contemporary Assertions of State Sovereignty and the Safeguards of American Federalism, 74 Alb. L. Rev. 1637, 1639-1640 (2011). However, nullification not only lacks any basis in the Constitution but also is directly contrary to the most basic principles of federal supremacy and judicial review contained in the Constitution. U.S. Const. art. VI, cl. 2;Marbury v. Madison, 1 Cranch 137, 177 (1803). It should be no surprise, then, that nullification has never been widely accepted as a solution to alleged unconstitutional federal actions, and it has been flatly rejected and repudiated by a unanimous U.S. Supreme Court. Cooper v. Aaron, 358 U.S. 1, 17 (1958). Though nullification may be an attractive option for those who feel the federal government has encroached too far on the powers of the states and the rights of citizens, it is not a constitutional remedy.

As you know, a new noise ordinance narrowly missed becoming the law of the land in Johnston County earlier this month. In a move to restrict gun use in the county to only three “acceptable” circumstances, the Johnston County Board of Commissioners voted to accept the new noise ordinance. Only the absence of one commissioner kept the ordinance from becoming law, but they will try again on September 4th at the next meeting without your input!
For me, the question is simple: Do we struggle against tyranny simply to be free of it ourselves, or to free our children from the iron clasp of its shackles? If it is merely ourselves that we seek to free, it is a simple task, it is accomplished with the slightest wave of the hand.
The purpose for me has always been to destroy it so that it cannot, for a long time, reach its ugly claw into the cradles of our children and grandchildren. To surmise that it is possible to defeat tyranny completely and forever is also a foolish notion. Tyranny is defeated only by the vigilant watchmen of the age.
For too long our watchmen have been asleep, we have allowed them to sleep by our silence and our inaction and the hen has been devoured by the fox. It is ours, then, to rise and defeat the beast and restore what has been stolen. It is ours to fight as our forefathers fought in previous centuries.

The truth is that we are endowed by our Creator with certain unalienable rights as human beings and that our government has stood to deny them. Whether it was ever written down, or not; whether it was ever meant for us, or not; we either believe that these rights are ours and will fight to secure them, or we will die as slaves securing nothing for our posterity, but slavery.
Watching the coverage and in this case of the rule changes and the treatment of Ron Paul Delegates, I am even more convinced that we will not find relief from the unconstitutional actions coming out of Washington, DC. We all know that in recent years the Conventions have become nothing more than a Coronation process for the party candidate and not really a convention where ideas and candidates vie for delegate votes. What we are witnessing is the party establishment asserting complete control to make sure that no one opposes the party establishment and if that means violating their own rules then that is exactly what they will do. I was hoping for better but I should have known that a party that has violated the Constitution on numerous occasions would not hesitate to violate a few party rules if that was all that was standing in their way.
Okay, now what? Well, looking at comments across Facebook and YouTube there are many and I mean many of angry and frustrated citizens/voters who are either tuning out of politics altogether or will change their party affiliation, I can understand the feeling but we can not let this opportunity slip away from us, we must reach out to them, we can not let the establishment win. Let’s face facts we are only kidding ourselves if we think we can change the federal government by electing a few new “conservatives”; it is not going to happen. If we can not control our own state party apparatus how in the world could we ever hope to change the national party apparatus, we must make people understand the answer is local not national.

The Convention is where delegates are meant to cast votes for the nominee, yet the Tampa Bay Times Forum was already plastered with embedded Romney banners, and additional ‘Mitt’ signs for people to hold were also smuggled in to make it appear that many are behind him. All Ron Paul material was promptly confiscated.
Six states filed to put Ron Paul into nomination while the rules still said it only took five states. Realizing this, the RNC met early Tuesday morning to change the rules in order to make the minimum needed as eight states, which Ron also would have had if the RNC had not decided to take the Ron Paul delegates away from LA and ME. One bus of delegates on the way to the RNC was essentially kidnapped for two hours, and arrived too late to vote on the matter said the RNC.
Rather than taking proper vote counts or listening to objections, several votes were clearly not unanimous, but this didn’t stop the RNC “leaders” from ignoring the dissent. Video surfaced just after this video published, but a link is in the video showing that the teleprompter already had pre-approved results before the public vote was taken. Ron Paul’s name and delegate totals were not allowed to be mentioned officially on the stage, even when he won the specific state.
The Republican Party has lost all hope, and the disrespect Paul supporters received will eventually be replied with “I told you so.”

A few weeks ago, western governments’ war on productive people took an interesting twist when US immigration authorities detained two teenage children of an asset manager based here in Switzerland.
The kids were traveling through the United States by themselves to visit extended family, and they were interrogated for six hours about their father’s business and whereabouts.
During the six-hour ordeal, the children were not allowed to contact family members who were waiting for them, nor any sort of attorney or advisor. You can just imagine grandma and grandpa waiting in the arrivals hall for six hours, petrified that something terrible had happened to the children.
This is incredible. It’s not enough that Switzerland already agreed in April to end its once sacrosanct banking privacy and turn over bank records to the IRS. Uncle Sam will not rest until they hunt down every last banker and pump them for details about clients’ assets.
Yet even mafia thugs know that wives and kids are off limits. Western authorities clearly have absolutely no moral compunction whatsoever in getting their ‘fair share.’
Look, this is not some defense of tax evasion. If for no other reason that simply to avoid prison, people ought to pay the minimum amount… and not a penny more. But the fervor with which these bankrupt governments pursue suspects where there is even a -hint- of impropriety is extraordinary.
This writer understands the definition of insanity. He understands exactly what doing the same thing over and over again and expecting a different result is; he also understands that supporting the lesser evil still results in supporting evil. He understands that our political system is rigged and corrupt and that he has no chance of being heard or having his God given liberties protected by such a system.
How did he come to this conclusion? To answer this question one needs to know just a little of the writer’s history. He was previously very active in Republican politics. He served as a county Republican Party Chairman in Virginia, worked as a volunteer in many campaigns and was a paid staffer on a Senatorial campaign. He also served as the state chairman of Young Americans for Freedom. He suspects that his love of liberty runs in his blood. He had a grandfather that fought for American independence in Captain Skille’s militia in Pennsylvania during the American Revolution and another grandfather that fought for Southern independence in Lincoln’s war of subjugation.
The writer’s goal was simple; elect a Republican Congress, Senate, and President and our country would be returned to its Constitutional foundations – limited (small) government, elimination of the national debt, and free enterprise (not the centrally controlled mess we’ve been operating under during most of his lifetime). That was, after all, what the GOP promised. The problem was, the writer actually trusted the ‘party’ to deliver on its promise. He depended on politicians to be honorable people and to tell the truth.
This is Shariah law. The first step to defeating evil is to acknowledge it exists. We live in a culture of denial where sound bites replace rational thought and cowardice has become a virtue in our leaders in Washington, DC.

I have spent much of the past two years in meetings with members from both parties trying to solve the debt problem. It has felt like pushing twenty boulders up a mountain of ice. My colleagues are well intended, and I love them dearly as individuals, but there is no real leadership in either party. Both sides do the same calculation: “If I tell the voters the truth, they won’t like me and they won’t vote for me.” They then convince themselves that they can’t do the right thing now because they won’t have the power to stay in office. The force bringing these boulders – and solutions – back to earth is careerism.
If members of Congress knew their current term would be their last, I have no doubt we could defuse the debt bomb within a matter of days. The fact that we haven’t passed such a bill has much more to do with careerism than ideology. Bridging the gap between conservatives and liberals is easy compared to bridging the gap between courage and cowardice.
Although this book is a non-stop exposé of the corruption and incompetence of our elected officials, the above solution to institute term limits and clean the cowards out is a simple solution. But as we have seen in Tampa, the political party leaders have no intention of listening to the people or solving problems. As our national debt hit $16 trillion, the focus of the people has been misdirected to the hurricane and the conventions. The solutions are looking back at us in the mirror: politicians and political parties are the cause of our downfall. The sooner we accept this truth, the sooner we can start the recovery process.

Silver-spooners like Romney and Ryan have never experienced real fiscal insecurity–and their policies reflect it
The rich, those born sucking silver spoons like Mitt Romney and Paul Ryan, really are different from the middle class. The wealthy grow up and live their lives wrapped in security. That’s what gives them the arrogance to organize a posse to hold down a fellow prep school student and chop off his hair, mock NASCAR fans’ clothes and ridicule cookies offered by supporters. No matter what, Romney and Ryan will remain rich and secure.
By contrast, those born into poverty or the middle class live lives nagged by insecurity. They know their jobs could be offshored at any moment. They know their employers may raid their pensions in bankruptcy. Their major asset in life, their home, may have lost a third of its value when the Wall Street-inflated housing bubble burst. Rich would be great, but those born without trust funds work hardest just to attain a little security.
