David Price on Oil Drilling and Audit the Fed

David Price (D) is North Carolina’s representative in the U.S. House for the fourth district. Mr. Price has no knowledge of legislation for auditing the Federal Reserve which over 23% of his colleagues have co-sponsored. Mr. Price’s comments concerning the oil industry and the administration’s mandate to close oil exploration in the Gulf of Mexico are not based in reality.

Glen Bradley Makes the Drudge Report

The News & Observer’s article on Glen Bradley new legislation concerning gold and silver currency is currently on DrudgeReport.com:

RALEIGH — Cautioning that the federal dollars in your wallet could soon be little more than green paper backed by broken promises, state Rep. Glen Bradley wants North Carolina to issue its own legal tender backed by silver and gold.

The Republican from Youngsville has introduced a bill that would establish a legislative commission to study his plan for a state currency. He is also drafting a second bill that would require state government to accept gold and silver coins as payment for taxes and fees.

Why Is Obama Going to Brazil?

President Obama  is taking a working vacation to Rio de Janeiro with his family. I question the timing of this trip based on current events and his low approval ratings. Here is his reasoning:

I’ll begin my trip by visiting Brazil to work with its new president, Dilma Rousseff, to strengthen the relationship between the hemisphere’s two largest democracies and economies. With around 200 million people, a growing middle class, and a per-capita income rising by almost 7% a year, Brazil imports more goods and services from the United States than from any other nation — mainly high-tech, manufactured goods from aircraft to chemicals to clean energy components.

Dilma Rousseff has an impressive background:

“She was 16 when Brazil fell prey to a military coup in 1964 and like many was soon drawn into the world of underground opposition.

“Introduced to Marxist politics by the man who became her first husband, Claudio Galeno, she helped build up one of the guerrilla organisations trying to overthrow the government – at one point spending three years in prison.

Something Smells in Chapel Hill

The book “All the President’s Men” detailing the Watergate burglary added this gem to our culture: 

Deep Throat: No, I have to do this my way. You tell me what you know, and I’ll confirm. I’ll keep you in the right direction if I can, but that’s all. Just… follow the money.

Follow the money is only half of this story concerning Imam Feisal Abdul Rauf. He was paid $20,000 in private funds to deliver the 2011 Weil Lecture on American Citizenship at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill on March 16, 2011. The private funding bothered me. Why would someone pay this Imam $20,000 to indoctrinate our children and why would a state funded university allow this presentation?

Are We Going to Audit the Federal Reserve?

Is anyone wondering what the Republican House of Representatives has accomplished in two months? I mean tangible, earth shattering reform to stop (not slow) our country’s decline which is reported to be the number one election issue. 

I remember receiving an email two years ago from a Louisiana Tea Party representative asking for our help to get the “Audit the Fed” legislation to the floor of the House of Representatives. It seems that our own Brad Miller was holding back this legislation in committee.

How Does Moveon.org View the TEA Party

It was interesting to listen to this Moveon.org meeting and note the similarities between 912 and Tea Party meetings that I have attended. They understand that fear is a powerful means to motivate people. Both groups want to present the “truth” but what neither side will admit is that we are all being manipulated to divide our country.

What Do You Want to Do to Organize?

Moveon.org is organizing chapters across the country. These great progressives want to present the facts and their positions with funding from George Soros. The woman’s voice in the video makes a great point: people send out too many emails that are not based in fact and cause the entire patriot movement to be discredited. I have sent emails back to everyone who sends out false information and over 95% never retract their original emails.

I do believe that the reference to “up in arms” in the video is not intended for armed revolution.

The New Mantra

The left is pushing  (pun intended) a new mantra now.  As seen in a Stephen King speech and heard at the Moveon.org rally in Waynesville, “If an elected official didn’t get a majority (as in 51% of the total voters registered to vote, not how many actually voted) they are not legitimate.  Therefore, we can dismiss them as our elected officials.  Yes!  this is what they are now pushing.
