CNN Analyst Says White House Should Tell Americans: “The Moment Of Freedom For You Is When You Get Vaccinated”

A CNN panel suggested the administration should persuade unvaccinated people to take the Covid-19 vaccine by offering them their freedom in return.

In a discussion on how the White House can convince “vaccine hesitant” individuals to dose up, CNN medical analyst Dr. Leana Wen urged using the promise of freedom and a return to normality as incentives.

Wen made similar remarks earlier this month when she suggested the CDC and the White House use the promise of freedom as a proverbial “carrot” on a stick for unvaccinated individuals.

A Different Perspective

stilton’s place, stilton, political, humor, conservative, cartoons, jokes, hope n’ change, January 6, insurrection, demonstration, riot, Ashli Babbitt, Civil War, Biden, liar

Let’s look at a different perspective. Patriots who were upset at a stolen election and unarmed occupied the Capitol for a short period of time as liberal “activists” have done in the past. People who participated in this occupation have been imprisoned without charges, beaten and put into solitary confinement.

Never forget that Joe Biden is not the President of the United States. The confirmation by Congress does not mean that he holds this office. It means that they are complicit in the fraudulent 2020 elections.

Death Knell of the Anglo-Saxons?

By JR Nyquist
In 1948 Richard M. Weaver wrote that “modern man’s descent into chaos” began with “yielding to materialism.” What followed from that, he said, was a crazy train of consequences: the triumph of egotism, social anarchy, the welfare state, and demoralization. The damage has been cumulative. Now we arrive at a very dangerous moment – with slogans like “build back better” and “the Great Reset.” These are codewords for socialist revolution. In fact, these are communist codewords. An internal enemy is now inside our government (inside many governments). Communists have been masquerading as moderates, and sometimes as Christian Democrats or even Republicans. They have armed themselves with state power and the power of the mob – a mob that has already torn down statues of our Founding Fathers; a mob that has torched buildings and looted stores. In the midst of a “pandemic” unleashed from communist China, an election was stolen while agent provocateurs with false narratives piled misdirection onto disinformation. Meanwhile our external enemies – Russia and China – have initiated an unprecedented military buildup, arming themselves with missiles and submarines, nuclear EMP bombs and terrifying superweapons. All the while America’s armament has been weakened. America’s spear has been blunted if not broken by years of neglect, obstruction and sabotage.

GET READY FOR WAR

Last week the head of U.S. Strategic Command, Admiral Charles Richard, told the House Armed Services Committee that the expansion of Russian and Chinese truck-mounted nuclear missiles was “breathtaking.” He said the United States does not have survivable missiles of this type. He added, “We are seeing a very rapid expansion of Chinese [nuclear] capabilities.”

Biden DOJ “Actively Considering” Domestic Terrorism Law To Target White Supremacists

On Wednesday night, President Joe Biden told a Congress that “white supremacy is terrorism,” after claiming that US intelligence considers it “the most lethal terrorist threat to our homeland today.”

Hours earlier, House Intelligence Committee Chairman Rep. Adam Schiff (D-CA) set the stage for the new narrative by telling MSNBC‘s Nicol Wallace that “The predominant part of that domestic threat ” is white nationalists, adding “We can’t ignore that because of a political sensitivity that some of the folks are part of the Trump base.”

Less than 24 hours later, Bloomberg is reporting that the Biden DOJ is “actively considering” whether to seek a new law which would allow prosecutors to bring specific charges for domestic terrorists who plot and/or carry out attacks, according to a senior department official.

One of the things we’re looking at is would we need new authorities,” said deputy assistant attorney general for the department’s national security division, Brad Wiegmann, during a Thursday House hearing.

Weigmann added that while the department has been successful using existing laws to fight domestic terrorism – including bringing charges for offenses involving weapons or explosives violations, hate crimes and arson, there have been more than 430 arrests made in connection with the Jan. 6 assault on the US Capitol “carried out by extremist supporters of then-President Donald Trump” (as Bloomberg puts it).

The FBI has warned that domestic violent extremists pose a heightened threat for carrying out attacks in the U.S. in the near future, with white supremacists being the most lethal threat.

Currently, no U.S. law lets the government designate domestic extremists as terrorists or bring specific charges for domestic terrorism. That contrasts with laws to combat international terrorism, which allow the government to designate groups and bring charges for providing those groups with material support. –Bloomberg

“The question we’re really wrestling with is, are there gaps,” Weigman told a House Appropriations subcommittee. “Is there some type of conduct that we can envision that we can’t cover or would it be an otherwise benefit in having something else other than what we’re having now?”

T.L. Davis: Media is the Message

Any reasonable investigation into how we got so far from the Constitution so fast has to come back to one incredibly simple answer: the media.

Sure, politicians seek to undermine the Constitution, because it’s the only thing that limits or attempts to limit their power. They have always sought to undermine its authority. That’s why Chief Justice Marshall devised a role for the Supreme Court to rule on Constitutionality. Or, he was just a power-hungry megalomaniac, maybe both. By then, 1801, the politicians had already sought to worm their way around the limitations and Marshall saw in Marbury v Madison the opportunity to insert the Supreme Court as an arbiter of Constitutionality. I maintain, and always have, that Marshall lacked jurisdiction and he admitted in his memoirs that he took the case with the purpose of devising a role for the Supreme Court.

But that’s not what has led us to this place in our history. This sort of political wrangling has gone on since the beginning. The fuel to the fire is a media that willingly and enthusiastically turns a blind eye to the truth, working harder to defend liberal/communist ideals than seeking out stories of interest to the people, on behalf of the people. The only purpose of a “free press” is to criticize government, attend meetings only a few ordinary people could or would attend and inform millions about the meeting. Who needs a “free press” if it’s always going to take the side of one political party?

We are this far down the evil path, because conservatives view the media with skepticism and refuse to back it with their finances. It’s a case of having too strong a faith in the American people’s ability to see through lies, or a belief that their funds are better spent on bullets and food. To an extent, it’s true, ammo up, rifle up, put continuing to pile onto that arsenal as a means of conservative virtue signaling will not give one the chance or opportunity to use any of it in their actual defense.

There are several scenarios people suggest for the coming conflagration. All of them are valid to a degree and all of them are fallacious to a degree. Based on recent resistance to something as solidly unconstitutional like shutting down businesses, churches and insistence on masking and distancing requirements only proves that when it comes down to it, most people fold.

It’s easier to go along. This is not a critique, but if it isn’t taken into consideration, it’s one half of the battlefield left uninvestigated, unrecognized. So, what is likely to happen, at least to a certain degree, is that the feds will confiscate most of the rounds being purchased today. It’ll go into their arsenal, not ours. The arsenals become an extravagant gift to the feds.

The Beginning of the End of Any Nation

The following is a comment from middleroad722:

1. You cannot legislate the poor into prosperity by legislating the wealthy out of prosperity.

2. What one person receives without working for, another person must work for without receiving.

3. The government cannot give to anybody anything that the government does not first take from somebody else.

4. You cannot multiply wealth by dividing it!

5. When half of the people get the idea that they do not have to work because the other half is going to take care of them, and when the other half gets the idea that it does no good to work because somebody else is going to get what they work for, that is the beginning of the end of any nation.

The Virtues And Virtue: A Rumination

Faith, Hope & Charity Vinyl Wall Statement, Vinyl, SCR125

by Francis W. Porretto

If you’ve had any kind of education at all, you’ll be familiar with the three “theological” virtues:

  • Faith,
  • Hope,
  • Charity.

…and if you managed to graduate high school without being incarcerated for a major felony, you’ll probably know about the “cardinal virtues:”

  • Prudence,
  • Justice,
  • Temperance,
  • Fortitude.

I shan’t expend server space expounding on what each of those lovely words means. Regular Gentle Readers of Liberty’s Torch will already know all that, and the rest of the world can consult an online dictionary. Suffice it to say that there’s little argument over the value of the virtues tabulated above. Most of us have been cuffed about the head and shoulders by our parents (or assorted authorities in loco parentis) on those occasions when we’ve failed to practice them.

But there remains a question that’s been on my mind these past couple of days: Is the cultivation and practice of the virtues sufficient to make one “virtuous,” or is more required?

Clearly, one can practice a particular virtue at some times but fail to do so at others. Even the best of us are sinners; that comes from our human partiality and fallibility. While we are made in such a fashion that we can become saints, none of us is entitled to that status while living.
