Why Is Janet Napolitano Visiting Minot, ND?

I received a FEMA notification that Janet Napolitano has joined the Governor of North Dakota to survey the recovery efforts in Minot, ND from the Lake Darling flood. Although FEMA is underneath DHS, what purpose can be served by her visit? Is Ms. Napolitano now responsible for giving out DHS/FEMA grants as outlined on “Welcome to the DHS/FEMA Grants page” on the FEMA website instead of Elizabeth Harman?

Based on the BATFE’s gun running operations at our other border, let us hope that she will find some time to visit some of the border patrol units where homeland security is actually an issue.

FBI arrests Obama Donor as Pakistani Agent

Actually the FBI arrested Syed Ghulam Fai for making contributions to both Republicans and Democrats.  From Politico.com:

Report: NRSC, Obama donor arrested as Pakistan agent

Fai’s largest contribution, according to the Center for Responsive Politics, was to the National Republican Senatorial Committee, to which he gave $5,000 in 2006 and $1,000 in 2008. He gave smaller sums more recently to the DSCC and the DNC, and has given $5,000 to Rep. Dan Burton (R-Ind.), $250 to Barack Obama and $500 Rep. Yvette Clarke (D-N.Y.).

NBC broke this story but did not report any connections to the president or other individuals/parties involved. As reported here earlier, Obama’s campaign manager has already admitted to accepting illegal campaign contributions in violation of the Logan Law. Continue reading →

I removed the hyperlink to http://community.fema.gov in the email since it has extensive tracking embedded as shown below (modified with “x” replacements just in case). Durham Receives the Government that It Deserves

Representative Larry Hall from NC Carolina District 29 spoke at the rally to support Governor Perdue’s override of the voter ID legislation in front of the general assembly. Ms. Morgan introduced Rep. Hall as their “activist on the inside”.

Have You Read the Latest New York Federal Reserve Report?

The New York Branch of the Federal Reserve Bank issued a report on July 15th concerning the results of their survey of New Your manufacturers. The report “indicates that conditions for New York manufacturers deteriorated for a second consecutive month”. The report is shown below and confirms that the “recovery” from QE 1, QE 2 and the various stimulus initiatives have failed. Not only have these programs failed, they have devalued the US dollar by 15% in the past twelve months. Since gold is up 33% in the past twelve months, an argument could be made that the dollar has been devalued this same amount. Add the decrease in the price of housing in the past twelve months and people who have worked to achieve the American Dream have seen their efforts flushed down the toilet of redistribution.

WHITE HOUSE SMART GRID DOCUMENT – THE POWER TO CORRUPT

On June 13 of last month, the Executive office of the President released a document entitled “A POLICY FRAMEWORK FOR THE 21st CENTURY GRID: Enabling Our Secure Energy Future” regarding the creation of the “Smart Grid”.

While some of the Smart Grid project’s scope is to upgrade grid facilities, a key part of the Smart Grid is the implementation of the “Advanced Metering Infrastructure” (AMI) that enables utilities to collect, measure and analyze consumer’s energy consumption date for grid management.

So what is AMI capable of?  One pilot study cited in the White House document was done by Bonneville Power of Washington state, which synchronized residential water heaters with wind generation.  After tracking a consumer’s water heater usage for two weeks, the power flow to the water heater would be decreased if no “renewable” energy was available. The utility would only do so if they predicted that the family would not need hot water. Continue reading →

What Does the Price of Gold Signify?

Gold closed at $1594.10 an ounce July 15th, 2011. This is an increase of 7.5% in two weeks but the media has not focused its coverage on this important event. The price of gold is determined by two factors: the value of the dollar and the demand for gold on the world market. Both of these factors have contributed to the increased price of gold but the underlying reasons are what we need to address.

The United States is in trouble and Timothy Geithner’s face this week show how deeply our debt crisis has become. The stock market rallied on the  probability of yet another economic stimulus plan (Quantitative Easing 3) from the Federal Reserve. QE3 may provide short term profits on Wall Street but it will devalue the dollar and our savings along with it. We must concentrate on the credit rating of the United States. As our credit rating is lowered, the confidence on our ability to repay our debt is also lowered. The consequence of a reduction of our credit rating is an increase in the interest rate on our debt in order to entice people to accept the increased rate of default and/or reduced value of the dollar due to inflation (redistribution).

Belly Button Biodiversity Project at North Carolina State University

 Our president made the following statement this week:

“I do not want, and I will not accept, a deal in which…I’m able to keep hundreds of thousands of dollars in additional income that I don’t need, while a parent out there who is struggling to figure out how to send their kid to college suddenly finds that they’ve got a couple thousand dollars less in grants or student loans.”

The Marxist ideology in the president’s view has been covered here in another article. However, my interest was piqued when I read about the “Belly Button Biodiversity Project” at NC State since I have a degree in Microbiology. Although I could find no information about the funding of this project, the cost to culture bacterial samples is minimal compared to most research.

When Is It Time to Vote for the Lesser of Two Evils?

A large part of our nation’s problems are due to the lack of moral character of candidates running for office. We have to make a choice between the lesser of two evils in many of our elections. This is not to say that we have to agree with every position a candidate holds in order for us to cast our vote. It is to say that until we elect moral and virtuous leaders, our country will not move forward.

Our country was founded on these two qualities and the church was responsible for producing moral and virtuous citizens. Is the church’s negligence responsible in large part for our society’s demise: YES. If the people of this country were moral and virtuous, the question of voting for any evil would never be considered.

Sheila Jackson Lee Is A National Disgrace

Sheila Jackson Lee’s solution to the debt ceiling standoff today is to play the race card. While the president declared today that 80% of the people want their taxes raised, he has yet to provide the leadership necessary to overcome what may be the most important crisis our nation has ever faced. Lies and race baiting will not solve this crisis and time is critical: if our credit rating is lowered, we will not be able to service the interest on our national debt. Ms. Lee does not understand an essential fact concerning the relationship between Americans and the president. We have no problem with his race, we have a problem with his incompetence in every aspect of his administration.
